A Third Party

Demyan

"Why you leave the bed?" he yawned as he turned with his head resting on my lap so he could look up to me. His beautiful blue green eyes were bright despite the dim glow of the moon outside.

I softly smiled down at him and brushed his curtain bangs back with my hand before I kissed his forehead, "I was checking in on Malia."

"Is she alright?" he closed his eyes and snuggled against me.

I nodded, "She is. She's at Igor's party with my sister and brother."

"Bad news," he chuckled, "You're lucky she's pregnant. Igor won't make any advances towards her."

That did not help my heart at all. Igor's friends were just like EJ and if they truly were, Malia being pregnant would be the least of their concerns. Yet I had to trust in Igor. Even though it felt equivalent to pouring water in a bucket that had a hole.

"You shouldn't worry though. Malia is a good girl," he opened his eyes to meet mine.
