Chapter 21: Heavenly Eye

The Zhuge estate was as grand as Feng Zhiming had expected, even in comparison to the Divine Demon Hall it was far greater. It certainly made sense taking into account they were considered the most wealthy force on the dark side of the Etheria continent.

Other than being extremely large it was clear that only the most expensive material had been used in construction columns made of marble, a courtyard with training equipment most sects would reserve for the super elite and even a few private lakes within the estate.

"Forgive me, great cultivators, could I please ask you to wait in the main hall while I call the Clan Leader over."

Anissa nodded and the old man left while dragging along Zhuge Yue who really didn't want to leave.

"Big sister, I'll definitely return with my father." she tried to struggle out of the old man's grasp but couldn't.

The old man closed the door as he left the room leaving just Anissa and Feng Zhiming in the room.

Anissa used her divine sense to form another noise suppression field.

"How did you arrange for this, can you see the future?" she was still flabbergasted about how Feng Zhiming had calculated all this.

Even more so she felt the fire burning inside her roar when she heard the man in the alley mention Dao Lord Fury.

"It's all due to the Forgotten One's guidance, he told me that three men would target the duo in the alley."

This was a blatant lie, the trio of men had actually been the one's talking to Feng Zhiming at the candy apple cart, it was actually his demonic phenomena that had instructed the men to target the girl and the old man.

As for the location of the Zhuge clan's little princess it was no secret to the local public and he had obtained it from casual mingling with the residents, she would always come down to that restaurant and have their cake.

"But I can't believe that this Dao Lord Fury is targeting the Zhuge Clan, he went through so much trouble to cover up his existence and now he wants to openly act." Anissa spoke while regulating her emotions, every time that man was brought up she felt great rage towards him.

"That's because he's not." Feng Zhiming smirked as he slowly tapped the golden chair he sat on.

Anissa looked at him with a confused expression.

"I'll explain later, our host is about to arrive."

As the door swung open, A tall, elegantly dressed man with a crystal monocle, sporting a dark green robe adorned with black patterns and a subtle chin stubble confidently entered the room.

Anissa and Feng Zhiming both stood up and cupped their hands.

"Greeting, respected Clan Head." they said in unison.

It was generally considered a common courtesy to avoid mentioning a Clan head's name directly, so they both referred to him as clan head.

The sheer aura he was releasing would instantly knock out anyone below the Ethereal Core realm.

"Please sit down, how can I stress formalities with the ones who saved my daughter's life."

This was someone at the Heavenly Eye realm, although Feng Zhiming had met the second elder who was in the same realm, the elder deliberately chose to withhold his aura.

This man Zhuge Yi on the other hand released the entirety of his aura to greet his guests, this wasn't a surprise to Feng Zhiming as it was normal for someone to show off their strength while greeting guests.

The hall they had been sitting in had chairs opposite each other and one chair which was more like a throne was at the head of the hall, naturally the Clan head sat there.

After he had been seated, Anissa sat down and Feng Zhiming stood to her right behind her.

"It is an honor to be in the presence of the illustrious leader of the Zhuge Clan, I am unworthy."

Zhuge Yi looked at Anissa inquisitively as she spoke before turning his gaze to Feng Zhiming.

"You… You're from the Evermore family. How is Liam these days?"

It was obvious to him, a very distinct sword intent was emanating from the woman, a sword intent he was very familiar with, not to mention the hallmark of the evermore family's light blue ocean like hair color.

Generally a sword cultivator would have a certain sword intent unique to them, since both Liam and Anissa cultivated the ocean splitting sword it was a given they would share a similar sword intent. It was possible to hide it if they wished, but it was something that came from a certain level of mastery,

"My father has died in battle alongside the rest of my clan."

Anissa spoke in a monotone voice, trying to stop any emotion from leaking into the conversation.

Zhuge Yi was visibly surprised but only for a fraction of a second.

"It's hard to believe that someone as powerful as him died, not to mention an entire clan, was it the Absolute Asura sect?"

Feng Zhiming remembered that the third superpower sect on the dark side of the continent was the Absolute Asura sect, out of the three great demonic sects they were the most demon like, partaking in things like human sacrifice.

"It was an unknown person, he called himself Dao Lord Fury."

Zhuge Yi was deep in thought for a moment, it was the same person that supposedly attacked his daughter so he couldn't help but be suspicious.

"Forgive me for asking, but how can you prove what you say?"

Anissa stood up and unsheathed her sword.

"Please observe my aura with your Heavenly Eye as I say his name."

She closed her eyes and gripped the sword tightly.

"Dao Lord Fury."

To most people it may be invisible, but Heavenly Eye cultivators could visibly see strong emotions emanating from people almost as if they were tangible.

The type of red-hot hate that emerged from her wasn't something that could be faked, it was enough hate that it could consume her whole if she let it, hate that transcended like and dislike, it was the inability to share a reality with the other person.

"That's enough, I have confirmed it."
