He found Nicholas eating with his wife, Ninette.
"Eat now, Leandre. I washed your clothes and pants last night." Ninette said.
Leandre bowed as Nicholas laughed. he seems happy that his wife washed his clothes.
"Thank you. But it's embarrassing, I wish you hadn't washed it," he says.
"That's okay. Do you have a headache? Sip this hot soup." Ninette said and gave him an empty bowl to put the soup in.
"All right."
Leandre began to eat. He was starving even now. Ninette is a wonderful person, and Nicholas is fortunate to have her. They had only recently met, but she was kind to him and treated him as if he were a brother.
"How are you? Is your drunkenness worth it? Why don't you hire a maid so you can eat properly, it's like you're starving to death."
"Damn you, you talk a lot!" exclaimed Leandre.
Nicholas simply laughed. He said goodbye to go home after they ate because he still had to go to work. Even though he is the company's owner, he is too involved in management, which has ruined his marriage. He wasn't sure whether he'd go inside or not. He was just leaning on the car seat because his headache was still bothering him.
But his workaholic tendencies won out even more. So he exited the car and went inside. Jade's angry aura stopped him right at the gate. He just stared at her, emotionless.
"Where have you been?" she?demanded loudly.
"What's the deal with that question? Do you still need to know where I'm going?"
"Of course," Jade replied bravely, "because you're still married to me, even if you're with a few other women."
His headache was gone. His blood pressure suddenly increased. Why did she seem to doubt his character and what he was capable of? As if she hadn't done anything wrong.
Leandre folds his arms and looks at Jade.
"Did you consider our marriage before sleeping with your man in our master bedroom?" Leandre asked sternly.
This woman confronted him with a thick face as if he had cheated on her. He wants to embarrass her and constantly remind her of the sin she committed. He is more kind than other men she has met, but he is also more unlucky because bad luck is focusing on him.
Until now he could not find the answer to why they came to this point. Why did their lives turn out like this? Before, they were very happy and loved each other. But the past is not important anymore.
Jade was silent at his question and did not answer. She swallowed her tongue. So he continued to enter the house only for Jade to follow him.
"Who was the woman who answered my call last night?" Jade sneered. "Just make sure you hide that woman well or I'll make sure she goes to jail."
Leandre stopped?and raised his brows at Jade.
"Really? How brave you are. Didn't you think I hadn't put you in jail before for what you did to me? You have no evidence that I am cheating, but I have evidence of your cheating that I can see with my own two eyes, so go away here before I get mad at you forever!" exclaimed Leandre.
He didn't like the woman's victim mentality, but the crime she committed was worse than that of an animal.
It's a good thing he was able to keep his cool when he saw her cheating. He did not physically harm her, nor did he punch or slap her. He simply left, got into his car, and drove to his mother's house. So his mother saw him cry as a result of what this woman did. And she was now playing the victim? She's a jerk!
"Stop asking me questions, Jade, because we've been separated since you cheated, remember?"
He went to his room and locked the door because Jade was no longer following him. Why would he return to this house? As long as he stays away from this woman, he can take at least a few more houses. He went into the bathroom and showered.
It's been better if from now on he go home to his mom's house. It is wide and only two of them live there. He didn't want to see this woman's face every day. He immediately got dressed and left the house and entered the car. He does not understand why this woman is still here in his house, considering what she did, she should not have appeared to him after sinning.
Alondra was already sweating from washing the numerous plates that had accumulated in the kitchen where she was. Daisy was gracious enough to provide her?with snacks inside. She will starve if she is alone because she will be ashamed to beg from the other side. She took a seat for a moment before wiping the plates and placing them in the cabinet. She leans against her?back?at the seat?because it appears to align with their veins. She was stretching when the door burst open, revealing a woman with a strict aura. Alondra abruptly stood up, fearful that she would reprimand by?her.? She cocked her?brow at her.
"So you're the new dishwasher here?" the woman asked.
"Yes ma'am," Alondra answered in a polite tone.
She is aware that this woman is their manager. That Daisy mentions to her earlier. The strict Mrs. Abra.
"Good. Just make sure you wash the dishes cleanly because our customers are wealthy; if I hear any negative feedback, you will be held accountable to me," Mrs. Abra said as she walked in front of her.
Mrs. Abra was inspecting the dishes she had washed earlier. She smelled it and smoothed it out to see if there were any bits of soap or leftover bits.
"Yes, ma'am."
"I don't see anything wrong with you so far," she said, "but you should improve your work."
Alondra just nodded. After leaving Mrs. Abra, she exhaled a sigh of relief. She felt like she was going to have a heart attack when she got close to her. After Mrs. Abra left, she went back to work. She mustn't have to think about anything while at work, not even her parents or Mathilde. Because she knows just by looking at that woman that she doesn't know how to listen to an explanation, she hopes she doesn't make a mistake in the coming days. She's already wiped the dishes she washed earlier. ?
When the door reopened. Alondra stood up right away, perhaps thinking Mrs. Abra had returned, but when she turned around, it was Daisy who was smiling and carrying food.
"I guess you had a good day today, so I rewarded you with a tasty lunch, a piece of fried chicken, and chicken soup for you," Daisy said as she placed it on the small table.
"Thank you; I don't know what I'd do without you," Alondra replied.
"No problem. Don't be so dramatic. It should be a sport of courage here in the city, so strengthen your chest," Daisy said as best she could.
"Yes."
"So, for the time being, I can't eat with you; you eat alone because I'm a cashier and can't leave the counter there. See you later in our room," Daisy said, kissing her.
Alondra smiled. She found the eldest sister in the presence of Daisy. She knows that fate and even the person from above are too kind to her because he will not let her suffer so much here in the city. Because she is suffering too much in the province.
She sat in a chair near the table and began eating. She has eaten delicious food and is no longer hungry, unlike in the province where she is always hungry, but her parents and Mathilde have also crossed her mind. If so, how are they now? Meanwhile, she didn't want to be dramatic and emotional. She ate quickly and returned to wiping. She finished in the afternoon and was just putting the plates in the cabinet. Daisy walked in and Alondra was already drenched. She sweeps first, then dusts the surrounding area.
"Let's go out, Alondra; there's no overtime pay here. Where's your bag?" Daisy asked.
