Chapter 25 Explorers Guild(3)

The the next day, Alex woke up in his room wondering where he was and why he was naked in a comfortable king size bed. Jumping out of the bed in alarm, Alex nearly summoned [Crimson Fang] but calmed down when his memories of yesterday's events came flooding back to him. Smiling to himself, he went to the bathroom to brush his teeth and took a bath while thinking he had reach the pinnacle bliss.

'Guess it's time to gather some information.' Finishing his bath he took up his newly purchased phone to determined to collect some information. With a quick command, Alex unlocked his phone and decided to do the most important thing first...check his bank account. Entering the Explorers Guild app and tapped the account and balance tab and there he saw a whopping 999,000 credits( the cost for the phone and the cost for the room was deducted) in his account waaay more than he had ever seen in his life. After checking his balance, he decided to explore the app a bit more.

The app had many tabs including ones that for <Quests>, <Indroduction>, <Status> and surprisingly <map> for both the Explorer Guild branch and a world map. Picking the <Introduction> tab first he found a video with a tall, dark haired, tanned skin man named Augustus Mighty who introduced himself as the CEO of the Explorers Guild. He explained that the role of explorers is to well...explore. Explorers were supposed to do what most common folk were unwilling to do, such as slay monsters and beasts, discover new and uncharted lands and dungeons and aid people with their quests....for a very expensive fee of course. The quests are given to you based on your rank which ranged from F to S but their wasn't anyone above B rank with the CEO being the strongest. Ranks were determined by overall ability to fight monsters, humans and beasts and the amount of quests you've completed. The reason the Guild was able to stay afloat even though it only had around ten thousand members worldwide is that it it is funded by the various governments and private enterprises which meant that explorers have more privilege than ordinary citizens and access to more information additionally they posses a lot of influence in the world mostly due to the explorers being much more powerful than the average person.

For the most part anyone can become an explorer for the most part, although Alex suspected there wasn't a lot of people from the outskirts of any city, and all of them are required to write a report on their missions especially those into uncharted territory. At the end of the video presentation the man gave some words of encouragement which Alex didn't really pay attention. The video was clear enough for Alex to understand so he didn't dwell on it too much.

Next he checked the <Status> which unlike what Alex expected it didn't show the system status but something similar to the ID he received. It showed his name, age, level, rank, the amount quest he's completed and it showed a picture of himself on the side. His rank was F since he was new and everyone started at F according to the <Introduction>.

Next he checked the <Quests> tab where he found a boat load of quests suitable for his rank. Some were quests for culling beast population, some were for conquering F ranked dungeons and some were for gathering magical herbs, metals or getting specific mana cores. Some of them weren't even quests from this city but from far away ones. According to the <Introduction> if an explorer accepted a quest and didn't complete it in time he could be fined a lot of money by the Guild.

And then lastly the <Map> tab which had maps for the guild, cities and some places outside of it. As Alex was excitedly looking at a world map his stomach rumbled causing him to smile. Switching to the local guild map he searched for the dining area.
