Chapter 148 Into the City

Alex and Lisa appeared out of a shadow in an alley and walked onto the streets unnoticed. As Alex and Lisa walked towards the Guild, Alex noticed that the amount of people walking on the streets have increased and most of them weren't dressed in fancy clothes.

'Hopefully the Mayors don't just stick all of them in the outskirts.' Alex thought to himself as he saw how the nobles passing by looked at the refugees, their fellow humans, with disdain and couldn't help but sigh. Although he thought this, he knew this was most likely what the Mayors would do to please the nobles that lived in the city.

They soon arrived at the Guild and walked towards the receptionist to ask for two rooms for the both of them. As Alex walked towards the receptionist desk, he spotted a familiar, tired looking figure typing away at the computer.
