I stepped into a light blue bathroom where the serene ocean color stirred a feeling of being immersed in water; it rushed through me like a surging tide. With my fingertips, I brushed the smoothness of one of several flat stones, all different in colors but similar in size, edging the large bathtub. I gripped the hot water metal pummel and turned it, releasing a stream of water into the ceramic sink along with my wonder. Above the sink, I caught my face reflected in the mirror already beginning to steam up. My eyes stared back, huge, blazing gems still spilling remains of music while the hot water vapors fogged up what had just happened between me and him. I lost sight of my image and my patience. "Oh! Porzia!" I told myself as my mind screamed about decency and morals. I washed my hands and rinsed my face of the residual shadow of make-up still hanging on despite the long day.
