A Pendant

That was one of my students' story. His name was Xiao Huang. He became Hei Huang, Feng Huang, and finally Red Everflame.

I still remembered the first time I met him. It happened on a strange planet in a Middle Mortal Realm. This time I came to the planet on a sunny day using a meteorite like always. I almost wanted to give up since the planet almost didn't have a cultivator. It was a planet of birds with only a few demons.

[Perhaps one of those demons would become the next student of mine.] I thought. I had 4.215.251 students already, but only 4.324 managed to survive the trial of Godhood. We would move the time forward until the day I met him.

Red Everflame was a handsome man. He had bright fierce golden eyes, a wide forehead, a strong jawline, and a sharp Greek nose. His hair was red as his name. It was shining in the dark night. He flew into a space vortex to one of his over 100 thousand planets.

[I haven't checked this planet for some time.] Red thought. He wanted to visit this planet before he returned to do his holy mission. [I couldn't allow that dragon to increase his distance with me.]

As an Arch God, Red Everflame had a powerful spiritual sense. A single sense was enough to cover an entire planet.

[What is this?] He thought. He went to a secluded canyon. It was dark, but his golden eyes could penetrate the darkness. Red created a red ball in his left hand and he managed to create a miniature sun using fire laws.

He went towards a meteorite. He saw some bird-type demon beasts fighting for a treasure from the meteorite.

[Wait!] He saw some new bird-type demon beast. [I don't think I put those birds on this planet.] He tried to remember.

He went to the meteorite. [I sense the same feeling during a tribulation.] Red thought. He slashed a thin layer of the meteorite.

[No. It is still inside.]

He continued to slash the meteorite. It wasn't hard for him, it was similar to a common people cut a tofu. He finally slashed that meteorite until a small gem appeared.

[What is this?] Red took the gem. [I could sense the mutation power from this.] He started to enjoy the feeling. [I could become a purer Phoenix with it. Even an Arch God wasn't the end of the journey. I will become stronger and defeat that stupid dragon.] Red smiled.

He flew to the fighting location of several demon beasts. [I couldn't allow them to fight each other. This is a peaceful paradise.]

"Give me the treasure!" Red ordered. He wanted to take the source of the fighting. It was hard for a weaker demon beast to disobey a demon beast with higher rank.

"Punishment for disobeying is death!" He threated but those birds didn't hear his command. Red threw the sun on his left hand. He didn't care about some mortal birds.

"Boooooom!!!" A thunderous voice was heard. After that, it was the emptiness. Red could only sigh with his destruction.

"Life is a cycle. Hope for your next life to be able to walk a further path in cultivation!" Red didn't have any feeling towards life and death. Since he had become an Arch God, he knew even deeper Heaven's Secrets.

Life was a cycle. Creature's life would be back into nothingness before a new life would be born. He had even found the soul of his mother and father. They lived a different life. His mother was an earthen elf queen when he saw her. She married to an elf king from a small kingdom. He even saw the kingdom destroyed by a human king. Red didn't want to interfere in the mortal war after his experience with his father, but he saw that human king would do the unthinkable to his mother. No. It was to the reincarnated form of his mother. He did what a good kid would do. He destroyed the entire army of the human king.

[I am an Arch God. This is the karma for raising me in the previous lives.] Red decided. He was an Arch God, he should be free to do what he wanted since it was a small thing. Red helped his mother to become an elf queen of her own kingdom. He also repelled some attacks by various countries. He helped her from the shadow to create the biggest kingdom on the planet. He helped her a bit during her next cycles and finally like he only became a passive watcher of her next lives.

Red looked into the crater that he made. A single swipe of his spiritual sense gave him a wonder. [Eh? This treasure could survive my attack?] It wasn't a full attack of Red but even immortal couldn't survive it. This was only a mortal planet.

He took the treasure. It was a small pendant. The pendant had an inscription inside, but Red couldn't activate it. With his knowledge as an inscription master, he knew that the pendant didn't have any problem. [This is strange.]

Red analyzed the pendant more carefully. It was a silver pendant with a blue jewel. The jewel was in the pattern of water. It had a slight rainbow color. While the pendant consisted of several rings. Red knew that was similar to some solar system. [I bet the dragon wouldn't have a treasure like this.]

Red was happy. He would be able to defeat the dragon in the competition of treasure. He took the pendant to his storage ring. He ripped off the dark universe and went into the space tunnel. He returned to his palace where he needed to fight several fights with those ladies.

At least that dragon gave me this pill recipe. He went to his alchemist lab and concocted some small white pills. [I will never lose.] Red decided. He was the number 1 Phoenix in the entire universes.
