Endless Loop: I live to die, die to live!

"Reason of my existence? I don't know. I don't know, that's why I enjoy it to death... quite literally." Jeremy, a young man is an enigma of nature. Unable to die, he is a true immortal in one sense, while a pitiful mortal in another. After each death, his soul escapes from the clutches of the universe and travels into other worlds, timelines, planets, galaxies, or even the universe, giving him a new chance at life. He has lived many lives such as newborn infants, stone-age ancestors, futuristic kings, and beggars. "I hope I am not a fat, ugly bastard this time..." Jeremy prayed to god, but his thoughts in the next moments were, "How should I commit suicide this time?" Fate being a fickle little sl*t, had transferred Jeremy into a body of ugliest looking existence he has seen. And to top it off, he couldn't commit suicide due to strict laws of planet! "I WANT TO DIE!" *** MC is selfish and a little eccentric. Do not get triggered if he doesn't play by conventional methods. True story starts once the 49th life ends, try to hold to the end! I will try my best to make it as entertaining as possible! This is my first novel so thank you for reading it!!

Role

The remaining day was passed roaming around the borders and visiting the same shitty railings along with the chaos caused by the nature every day. No one was super excited to know this stuff, but they couldn't reject either.

So like good and obedient children, they had to follow Spike all around like chicks following mother hen.

Spike showed his superb stamina as a soldier, his voice was still as rugged and gruff as ever, even after blabbering for more than 5 hours straight. He showed no signs of shutting up.

"This tombstone belongs to the great Sergeant Brock, he sacrificed his life to delay the eruption by himself and save the entire city from burning!" Spike told with great vigor, feeling proud of the Sergeant.

'Wait what? Delayed an eruption?' Jeremy stared at the older man blankly, 'Mr. Spike… Please make this sentence make sense to me…'

Even with the advanced capabilities of this planet, it should be impossible, right…?

"This tombstone belongs to the great General Rock, he dived in the lava just to save a child in an underground bunker." Spike narrated with equally serious expression.

'Okay now that's plain bullshit!' Jeremy looked at the older man blankly, 'Aria allows people to jump in the lava for saving children?! Where did the 'NoDe' go now?!?!'

Jeremy took a sharp breath, 'It's fine Jer, If there is a chance that I can trick Aria by such thoughts, maybe I should note it down.'

Jeremy added it to his notes.

"Sir, did General Rock save that kid then?" an innocent looking woman asked with a curious expression on her face, she glanced at those around her and found out that everyone was looking at her as if she was a moron.

How could someone survive in the lava?!

"Sadly no, he managed to stay alive for 25 seconds, that's the world record." Spike sighed.

"Oh…" the innocent girl retreated while her friends showered her with mockeries.

Despite this planet being highly advanced than the Earth, they were also equally backwarded. Jeremy had found out that the tech behind hover vehicles was actually a rare material found only in the mantle region of the equator.

Some legends told that it was the existence of this material which saved this planet from being completely engulfed by fire and ice.

This material had the highest concentration of neutral energies, and thus it was called the NEUTRIUM.

Jeremy sighed, he had thought that maybe he would learn some more new technology, but in the end the levitation was only possible by burning the Neutrium and neutralizing the gravity waves.

Jeremy didn't know how it was possible or how it was executed, all he knew was that this planet was in danger. He wasn't sure if the people here realized that or not, but it was an inevitable truth.

The people here have been mining the NEUTRIUM for ages, and considering the legends, it won't be long before the neutral energies would be insufficient to hold back the fire and ice.

And this was Jeremy's plan B of action.

If for some reason, he is unable to commit suicide today, he would commit co-suicide. A mass co-suicide at that.

'Orsics owns quite a few Neutrium Mines, I can use my connections with mom to get some. And I will sell them cheap and flood the market with them till it become common.' Jeremy chuckled, 'Then soon due to the dependability of people on the Neutrium, the mining would be increased and soon, the apocalypse would come.'

Sure, it wasn't an instant success, but Jeremy was willing to wait long enough to fulfil this plan.

After all, there was another benefit in that.

If by SUPER BAD LUCK, he rebirths in this world again, won't he be screwed again? What's better way to prevent that than to destroy the entire planet?

'Well, I hope it doesn't come to that.' Jeremy sighed sadly,

'Manipulating so many people sounds like a drag.'

As expected, he didn't have a shred of guilt for having thoughts of wiping an entire planet from the face of universe just so he doesn't have to suffer again.

Even selfish wasn't an appropriate word to describe Jeremy anymore, maybe he was evolved form of it, maybe selshark or selwhale!

"Okay students, this is the best tourist spot around the entire northern region." Spike suddenly said, attracting the attention of whole class as they looked where he was pointing at.

It was a huge structure made of polished marble-like material. It was the Neutrium, or rather, the husk of Neutrium after the energy inside was extracted. It served no real purpose other than to act as a strong building block since it was resistant to most chemicals and reactions.

"What is it, sir?" a boy asked.

"The museum." Spike replied and instantly, everyone sighed dramatically, losing their interest.

But Spike already expected it, so he smirked and added, "The Museum of Death."

And just like that, the vigor of students returned. Even Jeremy got curious what warranted such a unique name when death was considered a taboo in this world.

Alas, he wished he didn't get curious at all.

As soon as the students entered the museum, their hopes died and they felt betrayed. Did they seriously use such a big name for something so stupid?

In the end, the Museum of Death was nothing but what it sounded like, the museum where they hang portraits of the dead. What else did they expect?

Every time someone dies, the family member or the government of the world is responsible for putting their framed portrait up on this wall. Some great people got huge portraits hung on the walls, while some mediocre and 'NPC' people such as Luke got a small passport-sized photo stuck on the wall.

But well, in the government's eyes, people like Luke should be glad they even got something in the museum after the death of their worthless lives. After all, humans need to be protected for only one thing.

Reproduction. That's the only role a human plays in NoKiNoDe.
