Relaxing

(Asaka Point of View)

I watch as they work on my darling. I do take out my phone to research the side effects. I do see things around the uterus that can be damaged. I look over at the doctors and I tell them to be extremely careful or they will be begging me to move another area on them. I see them tense up but they do their job. I make sure to watch them closely. Once they are done, I tell them to leave and I head to the store to get us things for our movie. I make sure to grab us water bottles. After all, my darling might be thirsty when he wakes up. I get home and I put everything where I think it should go. Just in case, I get a heating pad out to warm it up. I head back into the room and I carry my darling to his room. I replace his patch on him so he doesn't have to worry about it when he wakes up.

I see that my darling is sweating so I leave to get him some water. When I get back, he is awake. I walk up to him.

"Darling. You are awake. Good. Here, drink this." I put the water up to his lips and I watch as he drinks the water. He is being so good for me. "That should help with the pain. I have moved you back into your room and everything is set up. I can get you a heating pad for your stomach, I will be making sure you drink a lot of water and I can turn a fan on for your sweating. You will have doctor apartments often to make sure everything is good. Nothing was damaged in the process so you will be fine but I want to make sure nothing will change so you will. It should take you about 3 to 4 weeks to heal. I will do whatever I can to make sure you heal faster." I see him smile at me. He is so cute.

"Thank you."

"Of course baby. Now do you want me to do that?"

"Yes, you can."

I get up off the bed. I turn on the fan before leaving to grab a cup of water and take out the heating pad. When I get back into the room, I look at my darling. He is sitting up while using the pillows behind him for extra support. He is smiling at me. I give him a kiss before putting the heating pad on his stomach.

"Here is your water, everything else is set up for you."

"Thank you, babe." Babe? He called me babe. He is so adorable. I love that.

"Of course. Do you want to watch a movie now?"

"Yes, I do. What are we going to watch?"

"We are going to watch a childhood movie of mine. After all, we have watched yours so I want you to watch one of mine."

He nods his head so I sit down next to him. I open up "Spongebob Squarepants" as it's a normal-ish children's show so it should work. I pull out all the snacks and water bottles for us while watching the movie. I set everything up for us before looking at my darling.

"Are you ready darling?"

He looks up at me. "I think I am. This is new to me so I don't know how to feel about the show but I know I like the snacks and the heating pad is helping a lot."

I smile at him. "I'm glad."

I feel my darling leaning on me when I play the show. I love being able to hold him. I make sure that my cutie eats some snacks and drinks enough water. I am making sure I can take good care of him while we watch the movie. I do my best to take care of him as we watch the movie. I end up spending most of the time watching my darling.

After the move, I look back down at him. He is still awake. I thought he would be asleep. He has been sleeping a lot recently and the last time we watched a movie he fell asleep.

"I'm surprised you're not asleep darling."

"I can't. The pain is keeping me up." That's not good. Is the pain that bad? I know insomnia is one of the side effects but I thought it was because the hormones are messed up, not from the pain. I wonder if melatonin would help. 

"That's not good. I thought the medicine would help."

"It did but when I go to move any part of my stomach it hurts but I think that might be because of where I was cut open."

"Is the heating pad helping at least?"

"It was but it's not hot anymore." That makes sense. After all, it has been a while since I warmed it up "How about I warm it up while you have more water to drink, alright?"

He nods his head. I grab the water bottles and his heating pad. I leave the room. I warm up his heating pad. I fill up all of the water bottles for us. I dry all of the water bottles off so they aren't wet. When the heating pad is done, I grab it and I head into the bedroom. My darling isn't in here so I sit down and I wait. After several minutes, my cutie comes out of the bathroom. He sits down next to me. I put the heating pad on him and I give him some water.

"Hi, darling. There is something we should talk about."

"What is it?"

"The side effects of this. I have been researching the side effects of a hysterectomy."

"What did you find?"

"Well other than the obvious of not being able to become pregnant and the end of your periods there is an infection, bleeding, damage to the colon or urinary tract, blood clots, anesthesia-related complications with the lungs or heart, nerve, or tissue damage, bowel obstruction or constipation, insomnia, vaginal dryness, weak, pain, sweating or night sweats, sexually problems, hot flashes, mood swings, and scaring."

He seems confused that I know this. Has he not done research? "That is good to know, thank you."

"Also, no lifting anything heavy. I do have check-ups for you already set up."

I feel him leaning on me. He is so cute. "Thank you."

"Of course. I am here to help. Just make sure you rest. I will also deal with your patch so you don't have to worry about that."

He smiles at me. He is so cute. I start playing with his hair. It feels really nice. I like being able to play with his hair.
