"Then, keep protecting me. Keep protecting me until you get whatever you want from me." April had no idea how those words escaped her mouth. Maybe a part of her had always wanted to tell him those words, for him to keep protecting her. Isn't it crazy that she was making this request to the demon, the number one person after her life?

After she had said those words to him, none of them said a word to each other. They just stood there staring at each other as though they were having a silent conversation. April stared on trying to read the demon's expression and Damon on the otherhand did not even know how to react after April had told him to keep protecting her. As they both kept staring at each other, they heard the door of the library slightly pushed open and they both whipped their head to see who had just entered.
