chapter 19: Someone is Watching

Tess was walking in the hotel lobby and felt as if she was being watched. She tried to shake the feeling off all day but just couldn't. When she was relaxing with Katie, she brought it up.

"Katie, do you feel as if eyes are watching you? I don't know, but I just feel as if I am under surveillance."

"Tess, we are all under surveillance, this is a hotel and there are cameras everywhere. Relax, maybe it's because you know that Stan now owns the place, that is why you are becoming paranoid, it's nothing."

Tess just smiled but wasn't convinced. True, since Stan became her boss, she has been feeling as if someone is always watching her. After her talk with Katie, she decided to let it go.

Stan has been busy with some investments in London, so he was not in town but as soon as he got home, he had this longing to be with Tess especially when being in a familiar environment. Whenever he is in Korea, he notices his desire for Tess is on a high scale. As he thought about the situation, he knew he had to get to the bottom of things. He has done well to avoid Fred but he has not succeeded in avoiding Tess. Though he doesn't see her at all, just the videos from the CCTV camera, he knows he can't get away from her because she is in his heart. It's only work that keeps his thoughts of her at bay. Once he is alone, thoughts of her come rushing in. Very soon, he will get to the bottom of everything.

As Tess entered the hotel today, she signed. A strange feeling overwhelmed her that she couldn't explain. Tess knew she should be happy with the way things were going for her, and she was but she began to feel lonely. She was thinking maybe it was because she sense Stan's presence every time she goes to work. At first, it was as if someone was watching her, now it's a longing for him that she can't explain. It was easier to deal with the feelings she had for him when she didn't know where he was, but now she knows exactly where he is, and it makes her feel like he might come back into her life.

Desires she thought were buried and forgotten began to surface. How is she going to deal with him now, she sighed again.
