Catch Me If You Can

At the northern part of the city, Jinsoku walks off a train. He heads up and exits the underground. He walks for a bit and reaches a square where he faces up towards a large bronze statue of a man with a diamond in his hand and a knife in the other. Engraved on the side, it reads 'Speed is an illusion to those who can't see fast enough'.

Jinsoku (in head): "Jento Memorial. They say the speed of Jento was so great he could walk right in front of you and you wouldn't even notice. I heard this statue was built decades ago but it looks brand new. Guess legends aren't forgotten. Anyways, where is that card?"

He looks around and spots the card on top of the diamond.

Jinsoku: "Not too bad."

Jinsoku takes a step back and stretches his legs. He runs up to the statue and jumps in the air. He grabs the card on top of the diamond and lands on the ground.

Jinsoku: "Not too bad at all. Now that I got this, I need to get to the pharmacy quickly. Can't waste time doing nothing."

Jinsoku glares at the statue.

Jinsoku: "I wonder how the afterlife is treating you."

Jinsoku starts walking away.

Speaker on train: "We will be shortly arriving at Vagis Plaza!"

Bonnie: "Kas."

Kassius: "What's up?"

Bonnie: "What do you think the world is like?"

Kassius: "That's a good question. I never really thought about it."

Bonnie: "Honestly, I couldn't care less. I'm a bit anxious but that's what's even pumping me more. I'm going to make sure the world knows me."

Kassius: "You're making me more pumped now."

Speaker on train: "We have arrived at Vagis Plaza!"

The doors open up. Kassius and Bonnie walk off the train and head down a flight of stairs.

Kassius: "It's this way."

They start walking down a road. Ahead of them is an entrance to a park. They walk deep into the park and after a while, they reach the center point. A huge plaza; marble floors, shops encircling the area and a huge fountain. At the top of the fountain, there is a huge silver hand acting as if it was gripping a ball.

Kassius: "This is it. Vagis Plaza. It smells brand new every time. And the card is right up there on the palm."

Bonnie: "I got this."

She starts climbing up the fountain as the water isn't flowing. She grips onto each level and pulls herself up and reaches the palm. She climbs on top of and picks the card. Water starts gushing out of the fountain.

Bonnie: "Wow! The view is crazy! Hey, Kas. Are those..."

Kassius: "The statues of the greats. The best of the best are added to the line."

Bonnie: "Expect my statue there pretty soon. That statue will symbolise my eternity and how I'll be one of the greats."

Bonnie jumps down and walks to Kassius.

Bonnie: "What about you? Don't tell me you don't want a statue."

Kassius: "Of course I want a statue. But there is something else I want."

Bonnie: "Huh? You want more? That's a bit greedy if you ask me."

Kassius: "Nevermind. Let's head to the Cleft right now. We can't waste any time."

Kassius and Bonnie start walking away. They start leaving the park.

Bonnie: "Hey, what time is the next train?"

Kassius: "It should be in about ten minutes. At around 10:30 AM."

Bonnie: "What's the time right now?"

Kassius looks down at his watch.

Kassius: "Um, have you stretched enough?"

On the East Side, Marcus gets off a bus and starts walking.

Marcus (in head): "Getting the closest is simplest. This is basic stuff. Sarah might just fail so why not get a back up in case?"

Marcus stops walking.

Marcus (in head): "The Obsidian Tree."

He stands before an enormous tree. The size of a twelve story building.

Marcus (in head): "This tree is said to be so strong that it was impossible to break through it. They built the country around this tree, making it the center point of the country. Only three people have ever left a hole in this tree; Jento Subayai, a man called Remus, and a mystery man who left nothing to show."

He looks in all three holes but notices something in Remus's hole.

Marcus: "There it is."

He puts his hand inside and grabs the card.

Marcus: "Looks like I got what I wanted. Time to get this test over with."

On the south end of the city, Kassius and Bonnie arrive at the train station.

Bonnie: "We missed it?"

Kassius: "Seems like it."

Bonnie: "Dammit! At the end of the test too. Kass, we have an hour left. What are we going to do?"

Kassius: "Calm down. I can't think with this much pressure. Let's look around for something."

Kassius looks around and spots a motorcycle gang on their bikes.

Kassius: "Yo Bonnie. You want to travel in style?"

Bonnie: "What do you mean?"

Kassius: "Listen to this."

Kassius whispers something in Bonnie's ear. Bonnie walks up to the motorcycle gang.

Bonnie: "Hey there fellas. That guy over there said you guys are stupid bikers. I wouldn't really take that if I were you."

Biker 1: "Hahahaha! Nice try. We aren't that stupid to fall for something as stupid as that little girl."

Bonnie: "Well, I tried."

Bonnie punches Biker 1 in the face and knocks him off. He passes out as he hits the floor.

Bonnie: "I'm taking this bike. Any objections?"

All of them look at her in fear but silent.

Bonnie: "Great."

She picks up the bike and moves it away towards Kassius.

Kassius: "That wasn't the plan."

Bonnie: "It was. I just... modified it a little."

Kassius: "Well, let's get a move on."

Kassius gets on the bike and turns it on. Bonnie hops on the back. They start moving.

Bonnie: "You know how to drive this thing right?!"

Kassius: "Of course. I've done it plenty of times."

At the center of the city, Arnold is running on the road. He turns the block and stop running.

Arnold: "There it is. The Cleft."

Arnold looks up at this fairly tall building with the word "CLEFT" on it.

Arnold runs towards the building. He reaches it and sees a small podium at the front of the entrance.

Arnold: "There's the card. Looks like I got here first. I'll just take this and go."

As Arnold picks up the card, he jumps to the side. Sarah kicks down and breaks the podium.

Sarah: "You got lucky. Better hope you're luck doesn't run out."

Arnold looks around.

Arnold: "Looks like it's not just you. I see about fifteen of you here."

Arnold (in head): "Looks like Jinsoku was right. Everybody did come to the center."

Sarah: "Just give me that card and try again next year before this gets rough."

Arnold: "Afraid that isn't gonna happen."

Sarah: "You're teammate isn't even here. Seems to me like you're stalling which means that there is plenty of time to take the card from you."

Arnold: "So it was that obvious? All right. The cat's out of the bag. I'm alone. But let me ask you people something. Hey, you. What time is it?"

Person 1: "Huh?"

Arnold: "What's the time?"

Person 1: "Uhhh"

Person 2: "Why would we tel-"

Arnold looks up at the sky.

Arnold: "I'd say it's around 11:10 AM. Am I correct?"

Person 1 looks at his watch.

Person 3: "So what? You can guess the time. Big deal."

Arnold: "A thief's greatest asset is the time. So I'll just say this. I need to stall for a bit and you already know that. So I'm just gonna hold onto this card until my teammate gets here."

Person 3: "Who do you think you are?!"

Arnold: "That's a hard question to answer. Anyways, enough with this interview. I'm outta here."

Arnold starts running. The group starts chasing him.

Earlier in the day, Arnold was making a plan with Jinsoku.

Jinsoku: "Come here."

Jinsoku (whispering): "I'll go to the North for the card over there. You'll go to the center. A lot of people will be there so I'll definitely get my card. I just need you to stall for me. I have to do something up north too so I'd prefer going alone."

Arnold: "Hmm. That's an odd plan but sure. But are you sure?"

Jinsoku: "You look more capable than you let off. I have a knack for spotting skilled people. The question is, do you believe you can do it?"

Arnold: "I mean, why not right?"

Jinsoku: "That's what I like to hear."

Back in the present day, Arnold is running from the group.

Arnold: "Catch me if you can!"
