Dear Diary,

I needed to calm down. I hadn't gotten a wink of sleep last night. I glanced up at my alarm clock for the fifth time that morning, it was finally seven o'clock. I sat up, looked in the mirror and gasped.

"Oh no! How will I ever fix my hair?" It was a tangled mess because I had tossed and turned all night, "It will take forever to brush!" I reached for my brush and started out, wincing in pain with every stroke. After fifteen minutes I had finished. I looked up at the mirror, "I still look terrible, I just wear a hat."

I slipped on my uniform and flattened any creases. I slipped a hat on and sighed, would I ever look good? I decided that bad was good enough and walked out of the room. I went straight to the Fitness Assertion room, picking up my pace after glancing at my watch. When I got there, I looked at my watch again. It was only 7:25, I was not late. I went straight to the jumping-jacks mats and started out with my training. After 75 jumping-jacks I saw Johnson enter.

I smiled, blushing. I looked around quickly to make sure nobody had noticed. Amelia had, and she was not happy about it. As soon as she finished her pull-ups, she came to do her jumping-jacks.

"Why were you blushing?" She asked, "Don't lie, I will know."

"Umm, I almost fell over, and I was embarrassed," Well, I wasn't lying, I had almost fallen over. I was embarrassed.

"What made you fall over?" She pressed.

"I tripped." I lied, unconvincingly, "Oh look, I reached a hundred jumping-jacks!" I happily skipped over to where Johnson was doing pull-ups.

He had taken off his shirt, and I could see his muscles pulsing. Every pull-up he did I could see his muscles wriggle. The veins on his forehead were bulging. Large beads of sweat rolled off his forehead and into his eyes. I started with my pull-ups after losing my jacket. After I started I looked over at him. I had chosen the bar across from his, so we could talk face-to-face.

"Hi," I started, "Whew, these pull-ups are hard."

"I know," Johnson said, "I can tell you're really struggling, your face is all red."

"Yeah," I fibbed, "That's why it's red…" Johnson didn't fall for it. He winked at me.

"Of course, my lady," He said. I bushed more than I thought possible, "You must be working pretty hard at those, maybe we should stop talking. It might be too hard. Every time I say something, your face gets red from the effort of talking."

I giggled, but while doing a pull-up, it sounded more like a hiccup, "No, I'm fine. So, are you ready for tonight?"

"Of course," he replied, "I have been for days. The real question is, are you?"

"No," I said, "Well, not mentally, I have my outfit ready. But, I think I'm as ready as I'll get."

"Yeah," Johnson said, "I get that," He smiled, "though during a pull-up, it looked more like a grimace. I smiled in return, "Well, sorry to say, but I've finished my pull-ups, and apparently our conversation. If you need me I'll be on the treadmill," he winked as he dropped from the bar. I blushed.

At 11:45 I walked to the gym. As I walked to Carter she winked.

"So, are you ready for your dance?" she nosed.

"You remembered the date," I said, not very enthusiastically, "I'd hoped you'd forgotten. Now I have to deal with you too."

"Too?" Carter asked, "what do you mean 'too'?"

"Amy saw me blush as Johnson walked in," I started, "She tried to figure out why. And I said that I tripped. Which is true because I did trip."

"You tripped after you saw Johnson?" Carter asked, "You are such a child. You have a major crush on him, and you've only known him for a month!"

"Shut up," I said, blushing, "I might have a slight crush on him, but that's fine because we're gonna go dancing tonight."

Anyway Diary, I think I'll work on today's story some more tomorrow, it's almost one a.m.. Well, goodbye.

Love from,

~EAZ~
