A sparsely populated city, one which people were actively leaving, was experiencing a sunny day, unlike the usual gloomy weather.
"What a sunny day... It feels wrong"
A young man, maybe 20, with black hair and brown eyes sighed.
He drank a bottle of chilled water as the sun blazed on him.
'I am NOT made for warm weather'
The only reason he settled in this city was the cool weather and the usually rainy, cloudy skies.
He felt something was off, something was tugging at him from the back of his mind.
'Something's gonna happen soon.. I can feel it'
A vibration came from his pocket.
"Hm?"
He took out his phone and saw he had a couple notifications.
He quickly put in his password and checked his messages.
'Heh, AtlasNeverSleeps... damn'
Atlas laughed at himself. 'Using my own name in my password'
He still couldn't get over it. Over what? Who knows.
He had messages from 'Old Fucker', '9-year old', 'Military dumdum' and...
'Why is this guy messaging me?'
He went ahead and blocked a number named 'Magician☆'.
He went and checked 'Old Fucker' first.
[I need you to come over fast!]
[And I know you get distracted easily, so come here without any stops!]
'What does he mean I get distracted easily?'
He was about to check the rest when he was suddenly pushed down by a man
Atlas looked around, only to see everyone running.
He quickly got up and caught up to a stranger.
"What's happening? Why's everyone running?"
The stranger stammered "T-Them! Those m-monsters are why we're running!"
As if his words summoned them, a group of short, green creature came up from the turn.
They had jagged teeth, bald heads and a vicious look in their eyes.
"Ahhh!"
A women screamed as she was bitten by one of one.
Someone tried to help, but with everyone panicking, they only got caught by the monsters in the process.
"What the fuc-"
He stopped speaking and quickly sprinted at full speed, leaving many people behind.
...
Atlas soon reached his apartment building.
He took out some metal pieces from his pocket.
'Would've gotten in from the front, but those damn monsters are everyone'
He bent down and placed two of the metal pieces inside the door, using it to locking the floor.
After a minute or two he got up, hearing the expected clicking sound.
He then proceeded to throw them near a dumpster, though they didn't go inside he couldn't care less right now.
He made his way inside and sighed at the apparent normalcy that greeted his eyes.
"Hopefully no monsters are here"
He swiftly proceeded to go to the landlord's room, knocking on the door.
"Hopefully the shit show going outside gets him to be nicer"
No sound came from inside so he decided to open the door and go inside.
As he made his past the kitchen he felt his foot hit something.
A severed, pale hand with white, checkered sleeves. It's skin stretched tightly around its bones.
'Damnit! What happened to that old man!?'
Atlas ran and opened the door and a horrifying sight greeted him.
The floors and walls were painted red, a sickly looking old man on the floor and a green little creature crouched over next to him.
Chewing sounds resounded from it.
It slowly turned its head, almost 180 degrees back.
"Keee...eeek?".
