Astraea Familia part two

I woke up when I heard the sound of the door opening and saw several people entering the room. When they saw me, they said, "Liam!" They went towards me and began to hug me, while I shed some tears.

"Liam, I'm sorry... I should have been more attentive... to your situation," Abeona said while she cried.

Before I could deny and say that it was all my fault, Milya continued speaking. "We too... We shouldn't have let you go to the dungeon alone."

I could only heave a deep sigh. "I'm sorry for worrying you. Besides, all this happened to me because of my recklessness. So none of you are to blame." Despite what I said, Milye, Milya, and Abeona were still crying. Adeona just looked at the situation, and David only had slightly red eyes, which was a little ironic because his eyes were already red.

After they had calmed down, Adeona seemed exhausted by the situation and said, "Okay, let's stop crying. Liam is fine now, so let's not make a scene in another familia's house." We noticed that some of the girls from the Astrea familia were sticking their heads out of the door.

As soon as they noticed us looking in their direction, they quickly moved away from the door.

"Let's go home," Abeona said.

As we walked towards the door and left the room, I was shocked at what I saw. This place was like a mansion because of its sheer size. The ceiling was very high, and the corridors were quite extensive. Additionally, the floor was striped with red and yellow, with the yellow ones adorned with black symbols that gave it a pretty good touch with the aesthetics of the rest of the place.

"I wish I had a mansion as big as this place. I could have my own forge room, a place to carve wood, and another to train with my portals. There are so many things I could do. Maybe if I saved enough, I could buy a mansion like this.

I left my thoughts behind when we reached a rather spacious room where the Astraea familia was gathered.

Abeona walked towards Astraea and said, "Thank you very much for helping us. We wouldn't know what would have happened if you hadn't helped us."

"You don't have to thank me. My daughters were the ones who decided to help you, so you don't have to worry about this," she said as she gave a soft, motherly smile.

"We will never forget what they did for us. I hope we meet again on our way," Abeona said.

"Thank you very much" was what the entire Abeona familia said.

"Liam, I'm Iska. Can I try some of my makeup on you?"

"Huh?" I looked at the Amazoness in confusion as she asked me that question. It was quite surprising that she wasn't wearing much clothing, considering the typical attire of the Amazonesses.

I was about to politely decline when Adeona spoke up. "Liam, you can stay a bit longer. We'll head back home later, so there's no rush for you to leave."

I turned to Adeona and saw that she was smiling.

Seeing her face, I decided that it was better to ask for help from Abeona. However, when I looked at her, she started to look in another direction, pretending to scan the area. I felt betrayed, but I realized that this was probably her way of getting even with me for what I did. I couldn't blame her, as I would have done the same in her place.

I sighed before turning to the Amazoness and said, "Okay, I'll be in your care."

"Is Liam not coming with us?" Mliye asked, looking sad. Abeona replied, "He'll join us later, so don't worry."

I wanted to say something, but the Amazoness grabbed my hand and led me into a room, smiling. For some reason, I felt a sense of déjà vu, although it probably didn't mean anything.

When we entered a pretty pink room, I sat me on a chair in front of a big mirror. Next to the mirror was a table full of different tools; I didn't know what those things that women use to put on makeup are called, apart from lipstick.

"Stay still, it won't take long to make you as good as new," she said, but it turned out to be quite the opposite.

"This will make you look spectacular," she told me half an hour ago while applying my makeup with some kind of brush.

"Do you want me to help you hide the blue parts of your face?" she asked.

"I don't know much about this, so you can do what you think looks best."

"I'll do my best to make you unrecognizable!" Hearing her answer, I felt a bad feeling.

I was not mistaken when I felt a bad feeling, because I had already been doing my makeup for another hour. Even though it felt quite good to have a beautiful woman gently hold my head, it was quite tedious.

"I'm finished!"

"Oh, really? Is this me? I look like a human child. This is very good, although personally, I don't like it too much, and it's not as versatile as Lili's Sinder Ella magic, but it can help me in case I have to do questionable actions, like having to kill a person, and although there's a rare possibility that they see my face, nobody would recognize me."

"You really are very good at this. Do you plan to open a beauty salon?"

"No, for now, I can only dedicate myself to being an adventurer. Before, I only did it to be able to help the place that raised me, but I changed by spending time with the other members of the Astraea familia." She must have been through a lot. Well, many people who become adventurers must have gone through many kinds of situations.

"Can I come over and do my makeup again sometime?" This will be very useful in the future.

"In that case, let me give you some fashion tips! Wait, I can give you recommendations for places that make custom clothes to match your beautiful wings! Maybe they can also make designs that highlight your blue markings next to your delicate white skin!" I think you're getting too carried away.

"I would appreciate it if you could, but right now I have to go."

"Okay, don't forget to visit these places!" She said excitedly as she picked up a piece of paper and began to write.

"Here, come back whenever you want, but we take turns patrolling the streets of Orario, so it's possible that I won't be around when you come"

"Thank you very much," I said before leaving the room, only to see Lyra waiting by the door, leaning against the wall.

"Liam, I hope you don't forget to upgrade my weapons."

"Okay... I haven't forgotten." She didn't stop following me as I walked through the mansion.

The silence was killing me. I couldn't stand these kinds of tense situations, so I decided to break the ice.

"What kind of weapons do you want me to upgrade?"

She seemed to notice my attempt to start a conversation. "Actually... It's not that I have very good weapons. It's just two daggers for temporary use. I'm saving up valis to create an unconventional weapon, so I think it's going to be a bit expensive for me. But at least if I order it from the Goibniu or Hephaestus familia, I'm sure they'll do a great job."

On the way out, we ran into some of the other girls. I also saw Ryuu, but it's not like I had anything to talk about with her.

When we finally got to the exit, we saw Alise along with a girl who had long gray hair and eyes, along with another girl with short brown hair and eyes of the same color.

"Liam, do you want us to walk you back? We're going on patrol for a few hours, so we could walk you back to the Abeona familia home."

"Okay, I hope I'm not too much trouble."

"By the way, are they?"

The brown-haired girl started to introduce herself. "I'm Noin. I hope we get along, Liam."

Followed by the gray-haired girl. "I'm Maryuu. I hope you feel better. You looked in a very bad situation when Alise brought you."

"I feel very good."

"Can I go with you?" Lyra said, observing the situation from the side.

"It's very rare to hear that coming from you, but the more, the better," Alise replied with a smile.

We left the Stardust Garden and headed towards the Abeona familia's house.
