Aria had never preferred any element over the other. She was not even biased towards fire, the first element she learnt to bend.
But, Aria had never really bended earth much. The first time she did, well, the story was not exactly happy.
After that, Aria always had to make sure that no one was around before bending fire, wind or earth.
Aria took a deep breath as she lifted her hand, fingers swaying. The ground changed shape as a pike came out of it.
Aria began to practice precision as she took some earth and bended it into perfect shapes.
Books, dresses, people, Aria made everything one by one.
By the time she was done, if anyone stumbled across her creation, they would be astounded to see things made of soil with such beautiful details.
Aria got up and dusted herself. She thought of removing the things she had made but did not have the heart to do so. "Well, doesn't matter much. Everyone here knows I can bend earth. But I'm going to have to be careful not to subconsciously bend fire here." Aria mumbled to herself as she walked towards the castle.
As Aria was about to reach the castle, she heard the breakfast bell. Aria hurried into the castle and towards the girls' temporary rooms.
Aria knocked on Helen's door, panting a little. Helen opened the door and smiled. Aria was stunned to see how beautiful Helen looked.
She had on a long dress that came upto her shoes, her platinum hair were tied into a loose braid and face was impeccable.
This was quite a contrast from Aria's wild look. Aria was wearing a short dress with leggings underneath. It had gotten a little muddy. Her face was sweaty and she kept pushing back her hair that had fallen out of her bun.
Helen invited Aria in as she said, "I was waiting for you."
Aria: "Sorry. I kind of lost track of time."
Helen: "Where were you? Training?"
Aria: "How can you tell?"
Helen: "You have the smell of sweat and dirt, with a little scent of fresh grass and dew mixed in. This tells me that you were in the forest. What else would you have been doing there so early in the morning, that would have gotten you so sweaty."
Aria put up her hands in defeat, "Fine. Can we go. I'm famished."
"Yes. Just a moment." Helen said as she picked up a walking stick that was near her bed.
Aria stood up, "What is that?"
Helen: "That's my walking stick. To make sure I don't bump into someone."
Aria: "You're not going to be needing that. Come on." Aria took the stick from Helen's hand and placed it beside the bed.
Then she took hold of Helen's hand and slowly led her out of the room.
Aria and Helen were quite late for breakfast. And by the time they had arrived, most of the people had already settled down and were eating.
All the eyes turned to the two astonishingly angelic faces as they entered the hall, Aria leading Helen by the hand.
