No one noticed how Aria's vision blurred due to her tears as she ran to her room. No one saw her wipe her tears, scribble something on the back of the night warriors' note and leave it at the table.
Not one of the many people in the mansion knew that Aria changed into her uniform, tied her hair into a high ponytail and sneaked out from right under their noses.
Once Aria was at the front gates, she flew over the wall and stood a few paces from the gates, waiting for the night warriors to lead her.
Sure enough, after a few minutes, Aria felt a tug at her bare wrist, as she had folded the sleeves of her white shirt to her elbows.
Aria began to walk in the direction the wind led her and reached a secluded alley when a few hooded figures appeared out of nowhere.
Aria wasn't the least bit surprised, it was almost like she had seen them hiding.
Aria made no move to resist as she was bound by the wrists and ankles, a cloth was draped over her eyes and a voice muttered in her ear, "Try and use bending to break free, and your precious friend will never again see the light of day."
Aria's face was expressionless as she felt someone else's wind bending around her body and the next instant knew she was in the air.
Aria's face did not show even a ghost of an emotion throughout the journey.
Even when the person flying her suddenly lost control due to inexperience, Aria fell towards the ground with doing anything. She did not even try to save herself.
Soon, Aria felt herself floating again and heard a conversation.
Woman: "What are you doing? Do you know how valuable she is?!?"
Man 1: "I'm sorry. I'm just a bit tired and lost concentration for a few seconds."
Man 2: "Still, you would have thought that this girl would do something to save herself. But she just fell, like a dead body."
Man 1: "Maybe she can't bend wind?"
Woman: "Are you an idiot? If she can't bend wind, she would have to be very lucky to find our note and very stupid to come alone."
Man 2: "But she has seemed very. . . . emotionless ever since she came to us. Maybe she was scared, and fell unconscious because of it?"
Woman: "If she really is queen Amber's daughter, I highly doubt she would get so scared as to faint. Besides, she has grown up fighting to survive daily. She is not some sheltered royal princess."
Man 1: "Maybe she fell asleep?"
The woman seemed to be really struggling against these two stupid men. "She couldn't have been that relaxed!!!" she exclaimed.
As one of the men started to say something, the woman snapped, "Shut up! Both of you! Not another word until we reach the hideout."
The rest of the journey was silent and soon Aria felt her feet touch the ground.
A ghost of a smile played at her lips as she was gently led forward by the same wind that had brought her here.
Aria was taken through a few doors and left sitting on a chair.
