Adiya's POV

"No. She just looks like her"

The more information we unveil the more the situation becomes strange. What is the meaning of all the things that are happening around me?

"Adiya" kuha ni Storm sa atensyon ko. Napatingin ako sakanya saka ko tinaas ang kilay ko as if asking what's he gonna say.

"Sorry for prying about your personal life but if you wouldn't mind me asking do you have a twin or a lost twin or sister maybe?" tanong niya. Napailing ako sa sinabi niya.

"What about the lost twin? Think about it. Did you ever ask your parents about that matter?" dagdag tanong pa niya.

"I didn't bother asking because I know that my parents wouldn't lie to me and as you all know all the treasure that has been born in the past are all only childs" sagot ko sakanya. "Maybe it's just a coincidence. There are times that we have our own doppelgangers" dagdag ko pa.

"Do you know from which tribe she is?" tanong ko kay Shin. Tumango tango siya bago sumagot.

"She's from the water fortress" aniya. It's her. It's gotta be her.

"Do you think it's her?" biglang tanong ni Zephy. Hindi ko alam kung sinong tinatanong niya kaya tumingin ako sakanya only to find out that she's looking at me.

"Who?" bigla namang tanong ni Storm.

"Remember our encounter with the water fortress?" ani Zephy. Tumango si Storm bilang sagot. "We saw someone inside that burning house and she also looks like Adiya" dagdag niya pa. The possibility is strong.

"Who else saw her?" tanong naman ng kambal ni Storm na si Trevet.

"I and Zephy" ako ang sumagot kay Trevet. Hindi ko binanggit ang pangalan ni Pyrrhos dahil ayoko siyang pagdudahan ng kanyang mga kaibigan.

"I think they are the same person" ani naman ni Zephy.

"Maybe but we can't be sure" biglang ani ni Pyrrhos. I don't know what's wrong with me but I sense something behind his words. I think he's hiding something.

"How can you be so sure? They are both from the water fortress and how many lookalikes do you think does Adiya has in that tribe? If there are few that's impossible. It's gotta be her" medyo pasigaw na sagot ni Zephy.

"Zephy calm down. Pyrrhos is not the enemy here" suway sakanya ni Storm. Tiningnan lang ni Zephy si Storm ng masama saka binalik ang kanyang tingin kay Pyrrhos.

"Really?" napansin kong parang nag iiba na ang tono ng pananalita ni Zephy kaya sumabat na ako.

"Yes, we can't be sure but we have to consider everything as possibilities" sagot ko.

"That's a waste of time" ani nanaman ni Pyrrhos. Nainis ako sa sinabi niya.

"Waste of time? You almost died back then, someone is controlling everyone then all you have to say is that it's a waste of time? Why are you protecting her?" hindi ko sinadya ang huling mga katagang lumabas sa boses ko ngunit hindi ko rin naman pinagsisisihan na sinabi ko ito. Tama lang ang ginawa ko. I actually did him a favor because he sounds like he's protecting that girl and people around us might misunderstand that. Tumingin muna ako kay Pyrrhos sandali and then again, his face is blank. I clenched my fist. I want to punch him right in his face right now but I reign myself. Lumabas ako ng infirmary saka ako naglakad lakad. I want to clear my mind. Naglakad lakad pa ako hanggang sa makarating ako sa garden nang infirmary.

Umupo ako sa bench na naroon. I want to appreciate the sight in front of me but I can't. My mind is wondering about Pyrrhos and the way he's acting sometimes.

"You okay?" halos mapatalon ako sa gulat ng may biglang nagsalita sa likuran ko. Nang lumingon ako ay nakita ko si Elgorth na nakatayo hindi kalayuan sa kinauupuan ko.

"Sorry" hingi niya ng paumanhin ng mapagtanto ang gulat sa mukha ko. Naglakad siya palapit sa pwesto ko saka umupo sa tabi ko.

"So, you okay?" tanong niyang muli.

"I'm fine" sagot ko sa tanong niya.

"You seem pissed?" he said as a matter of fact.

"He's so infuriating. He never ceases to annoy me" naiinis na sabi ko.

"What are you pissed about?" tanong niya. Napakunot noo ako sa tanong niya. I was about to answer him when he spoke again.

"Is it the fact that he nearly hurt me or himself? Or is it the fact that you think he's hiding something from you regarding that girl?" I was taken aback by his question which made me speechless.

"I-I" I'm grasping for words to say but I don't even know what to answer him. Am I pissed because he nearly killed Elgorth or is it because of that girl?

"You don't need to answer that" aniya pagkaraan ng ilang segundong katahimikan. Nagbaba ako ng tingin ngunit alam kong nakatingin parin siya sa akin and it's making me uncomfortable.

"What d you think will happen?" pag iiba ko nalang ng usapan.

"If we find the one behind this then maybe everything will be alright" he answered. I hope so. I hope after this everything will be back to normal.

"Let's go back inside?" aniya pagkatapos, saka tumayo na siya. He offered his hand to me which I accepted and let it go after. I stand on my feet then started to walk back into the infirmary.

Pagbalik namin ay nadatnan naming wala na si Cal at ang kanyang kaibigan.

"Where's Cal and her friend?" tanong ko ng mapansin kong wala sila sa loob ng infirmary.

"The council's guard came here earlier, they took both of them for questioning" sagot ni Firth. What?

"What will happen to them?" I worriedly ask.

"You shouldn't worry about them, you should worry about yourself" ani Pyrrhos. Napatingin kaming lahat sakanya ng dahil sa sinabi niya.

"What do you mean by that?" tanong ko sakanya.

"Once the council knows about the perpetrator they will place you in observation for two reasons" sagot niya habang tumatayo sa pagkakahiga niya sa infirmary bed.

"What reasons?" tanong ko.

"First is to ensure your safety" sinadya niyang bitinin ang sasabihin niya to see what my reaction is for what he'll about to say.

"And the second is to keep an eye on you about the incident, not for your safety but to observe you" pagtatapos niya. Natahimik ako sa sinabi niya.

"What? It's not like she's to blame here" galit na saad ni Zephy.

"Tell that to the council" sagot niya kay Zephy.

"She's the most important person in the nation right now, she's the treasure" hindi ko alam kung magpapasalamat ako sa sinabi ni Zephy o gusto ko siyang sabunutan.

"That's the least of their concern right now. They don't care about her right now especially that the whole academy is in great threat" I snapped at what he said.

"Now you're treating me like a threat. It's not like I want this to happen"

"Then you should know from the start the consequences of you leaving the nation" nagulat ako sa pagtaas niya ng boses dahilan para mapipilan ako. Tears started to stream down from my eyes.

"What do you want me to do? To accept it like nothing happened? I was born only with a dark power then one day I woke up only to find out that I am the treasure?" hindi ko maiwasang sigawan rin siya.

"Yes, because that's what we Elementalist are. That's who we are" balik sigaw niya.

"I'm not like you. Why do you always have that impression about me that is not me? I am not that person you want me to be"

"Pyrrhos" suway sakanya ni Trevet. Naramdaman kong hinahagod ni Elgorth ang likuran ko para pakalmahin ako habang nasa tabi ko naman si Zephy at Elle habang ang iba ay tahimik at walang masabi.

"If you want to survive, you have to be strong and heartless" mahinahon niyang sabi ngunit may galit parin sakanyang mga boses. Bakit ba lagi siyang galit sa akin.

"What did I ever do to you? Why do you hate me so much?" hindi ko napigilan ang mga katagang iyon na lumabas sa labi ko.

"Because your weak" I clenched my fist at what he said. His attitude shouldn't surprise me anymore. He's always been like this, from the day I met him up until now. It's just so stupid of me to believe that he somehow cares. It's just an illusion. All of it.

Naramdaman kong kumuyom ang kamao ni Elgorth kaya hinawakan ko ang ang laylayan ng kanyang damit para pakalmahin siya.

"It's alright. We just have to talk to your parents since they are part of the council" biglang ani ni Zephy sa tabi ko.

"Don't bother. I doubt your parents can help you judging from the situation. I think the council will also have them observed" sagot nanaman ni Pyrrhos. Napabagsak nalang ang balikat ko. Hindi ko na alam kung anong gagawin ko. Everything is going wrong.
