28. Blair family

In a remote place hidden from the preying eyes, there stood a round table and four prominent figures were discussing something.

"What do you make of all this, we baited the bandits for so long and still in the end they managed to escape overnight. And now we have no leads whatsoever".

" I don't think this matter is so simple. I think a third party is involved".

"I swear whoever stole our treasures, I am gonna make them regret being born".

"Instead of blabbering why don't you use your Blair family's resources to find our treasures. They were last seen on your territory".

Ast and Anya were done with their training and were planning on leaving the cave for good. They were destroying their tracks inside the cave. Ast had already placed all the herbs and plants that were there in the garden, safely in his storage ring.

"Anya after some time we would be declared enemies of our family, so don't you think we should make sure to get anything valuable out of the family's treasury. We will pass the blood security system easily. And my element is ideal for stealing". Ast had a grin plastered on his face when he said that.

To that Anya simply agreed nonchalantly.

Ast and Anya moved towards the back of the Blair family's garden. It was already early night and Ast wanted to use this to his elements advantage. Although in complete darkness there wasn't any shadow but he still was able to camouflage and hide very well.

Ast told Anya to wait for him as only he entered the Blair mansion. He quickly moved towards the family treasury. He had heard a lot about his family's treasury but it was only some superficial info. Ast came in front of a huge metallic door. The door was plain with only a hand print on its surface. Ast knew that he couldn't open this door.

The door can only be opened by family head and a man in their family who was called as minister by everyone. This minister was not an elementalist, just a normal guy who has been entrusted by the family head. He was solely responsible for maintaining the treasury. The minister had to sigh many soul contracts and he was basically a puppet in the hands of the family.

Ast knew if he wanted to access the treasury he had to wait and hope for the best. Ast informed Anya to wait while he would hide near the treasury and wait for the minister to arrive. Although the chances of the minister's arrival were very low. Ast decided he would wait for two days and if the minister didn't arrived he would leave with Anya.
