25. The Escape

Ast then used the truth serum on the servants and found out that they too were given the same order but were not informed about the bodyguards. 'huh so two different teams to do the same job, they sure are careful' Ast thought. Ast killed all the servants as well and left their bodies, because they had to quickly escape and he thought the smell of blood would attract the wild animals so didn't have to personally take care of the bodies.

Ast and Anya then quickly moved towards the same cave which was their Hideout, they wanted to hide right under the noses of Blair family. Their plan now was simple they wanted to attempt to fuse with their element in the next month and then go to the competition.

While they were running in the forest, Ast heard the voice of the system [ Congratulations to the host for achieving the required soul strength to activate the system]

'Oh so I can fuse just like that, but not now my chances of success would increase if I do it near the pond'. Ast refused the system question and both of them soon arrived in the cave.

'system where would the chances of fusion be best inside this cave?' thought Ast in his mind.

[Found natural treasures inside the cave.. Elemental essence inside the pond are highest so the host is advised to swim to the bottom of the pond and attempt the fusion. This process will use all the essence of the pond but hosts foundation would be very solid and during fusion host will get many insights about his element].

'But then what about Anya...' Ast was contemplating how to divide this pond between the two of them. So he asked various questions to the system. He came to know that the pond was an unique grade natural treasure and also the ancient fruit that both of them had consumed was legendary grade. Ast was very surprised by this discovery.

'So Anya and I had already consumed a legendary grade item and we were nourishing ourselves with an unique grade treasure as well, this is too hard to believe and how were be able to consume the legendary grade item?..' Ast was still in contemplative mood when he got the answers from the system.

He came to know that the fruit still existed in their body and as they grow in power so will the lightning essence in their body and also the fruit is continually nourishing their soul as well and will continue to do so.

'Wait I still have a fruit left, can I use it in any way, or can Anya use it she herself will fuse with lightning element?' Ast asked the system.

[The current condition of fruit is not at its peak and some of the essence has been lost due to improper storage. Host cannot use the fruit currently. The fruit if refined like an artifact by a lightning elementalist or used as a medium for fusion can help the elementalist in strengthening their soul and aquire an even stronger lightning element.]

"That settles it then... Haha haha" said Ast looking very jubilant.

"Ast who are you talking to. Don't tell me you became so lonely that you started having this strange hobby my brother" said Anya pinching his cheeks.

Ast didn't mind and told her about the fruit and his plan to use the pond, Anya agreed immediately, although she had her doubts as to how Ast knew so much, but she trusted him too much and gave him the benifit of the doubt.
