The Ghostly Anomaly

Medea entered just in time to hear the commander’s words. She frowned. “I’m sorry. Did you just say you need us to fight ghosts?”

He nodded, smiling at her reaction. “Yes, as strange as that might sound. We’ve been calling them ghosts, but we’re not truly sure what they are.” He gestured to the table in the middle of the room. “Please, both of you, sit down and make yourselves comfortable.”

Medea seemed uncertain, but she sat down.

Achilles felt like his head was spinning. “Commander, don’t you want to hear our reports first? There were two demons not far away from this camp. That feels like, well, a pretty urgent thing to talk about.”

Once more, Sir Casel looked aghast that Achilles had talked so openly to the commander, but once more, Sir Peleus himself didn’t seem to mind. “A very reasonable question, my son. Yet, the demons are dead, correct?”

Achilles nodded.
