Chapter 39 Deals and The Blue Maiden.

The ending for the duel was kind of what I expected what would happen, I can tell a deck which is still played in modern Yugioh with access to synchro summoning would overwhelm a early gen deck like Yugi's.

I will say there was possibly a chance for his win, since early cards were broken and the crippled LP amount would hamper a Lightsworn deck since the big dragons require a Life point payment of 1000.

Well the duels ended so the results speak for themselves, to be honest I wouldn't want to give Yugi/the Pharaoh such a powerful card since he would abuse it like a farmer does to a cow.

I start to walk towards the Elevators since the next duel should be drawn soon and I don't want to miss it.

As I reach the door of the Elevator I head the words of a certain female Duellist. "Where are you going Shady guy."

I turn around to see that Rebecca is standing a few paces away from me with Yugi who is also looking lightly confused at Rebecca.

"you should know that isn't my name Miss Hawkings, but I would assume you believe we have more business to discuss?" with some indignation she crosses her arms and pouts.

"You were about to leave without giving Yugi the card." at her words I frown and pause, what is she talking about?

"I remember that deal you made was for Mr Moto to defeat you, he didn't, you surrendered in the end. it seems pretty clear cut that he shouldn't get the card as a result." I say in a bland neutral tone towards the child.

"But he did beat me" She says with a smile like a cat, "In the end he won the duel so technically he beat me, didn't matter the context just the result."

this causes everyone in earshot to pause since though vague rules and defined definitions she set up a plan to get Yugi a powerful card for free.

One problem about that.

"I will say, that is some clever linguistic manoeuvring but just one thing you overlooked my dear.

I never verbally agreed to the deal, I only revealed the card in question, you assumed that meant I agreed to the deal you made singlehandedly without my consent, I'm not obligated to hand over the card."

His words are like dumping a bucket of water onto Rebecca since she thought she played him.

The look on Yugi's emotional state is in a small flux since, he just lost the duel but was allowed to continue in the tournament, next Rebecca pulled him here with no explanation before saying he's gonna get the card. then I just say no.

His face is torn between disappointment and confusion.

"Also the moment I give Yugi a card Seto would be on my back about it wanting something of equal value to the Dark magical circle, but that card might be something I can't just give away."

At my words this makes me feel everyone's eyes on me even a set of eyes though the security cameras.

Rebecca is the first one to speak up. "couldn't you just give him the card as a favour from me?"

this catches my attention but I smirk slightly. "sadly you already owe me a favour for giving you that deck, But I am willing to have them owe me a Favour for the card."

my words cause the pair to look slightly shocked at my idea.

"I won't ask for much when I cash in the favour also, since giving you a single card isn't of the same worth as giving a whole new deck, think of it as a tiny favour."

Yugi turns his head to the side probably conferring with the Pharaoh before Sighing and saying, "ok then I'll owe you a favour." 

I take out the card and present it to Yugi but when he's about to grab it I take it out of his reach, "Both of you. I trust Yugi but your friend might try and pull a fast one since your not the same person." my words causes Yugi and the pharaoh to both have faces of Shock.

I eye the spirit fully and can see on his face he's confused that another person can see him but I hear him agree to the favour as well but slightly reluctantly, at that I hand the card over to Yugi who slips it into his deck.

With my business concluded I go towards the elevator, I take it alone since I would presume Rebecca would go with Yugi and his friends.

The Elevator is silent and the doors open but instead of being the main room it leads to what seems to be a server room.

Standing tall and imposing is Seto Kaiba who looks at me with annoyance and determination.

I approach him with a smile, half guessing what he wants.

"I don't need you to tell me, you want that card I talked about which would be great for you, I assume you redirected me here so you can get it."

the Smirk on his face tells me i'm right but I continue. "also your someone who wouldn't like to have favours handing over you so you would prefer something tangible and direct for the trade, Let me guess more stocks would be out of the question so maybe a blank cheque?"

Seto has enough, "Stop be so banal, You already already have a price in mind, you wouldn't have talked about the idea in the open unless you intended for me to hear it, so What do you want for the card."

I turn to the side and smile at him. "Oh something very simple that I Believe you wouldn't care about, I want the ownership of the island where Kaiba corp's original HQ was built on, well I mean after the tournament since its currently housing the finals tower."

my price causes him to look at me with squinting eyes evaluating the deal. one card vs an island covered in rubble. "Show me the card and I'll think about it."

At this I smile, before tilting my head with a realization. "Erm, for it I just need to check something, can you show me a Blue-eyes for a second."

my request annoys Seto Kaiba but he sees little point not too, he takes his Deck and reveals a Blue-eyes, he even hands it to me, I can see why since there's a transparent Film on the card which makes it untearable.

when its in my hand I use my spiritual Essence to say, 'Your Wait is over Kisara, Lets reunite the keeper of the Blue-eyes and their destined maiden.'

I pump some spiritual power into the card and feel a card appear behind the Blue-eyes white dragon card.

I with a smile I hand the cards to Seto who is confused but he takes his Dragon back but he feels that the back of the card isn't the film so he pushes the cards away to reveal the card behind his dragon.

Unaware to Seto behind him hugging him like Miquella does to to Radahn is a White haired woman with blue eyes which seem to pierce the darkness smiling.

Reading the card Seto smirks and says. "Take the dusty old island, once I am crowned the best duellist in the world there it would be left to rot anyway as a monument to the Past Kaiba corp."

Both me and him have an electronic Contract written right there for the deal and we return to the main room as the spheres are being drawn.

The guard has just grabbed a sphere, looking at it to confirm before throwing it hard towards a Muscle Bound man who seems to be a weight lifter., he catches it and smiles before flexing and showing the sphere which depicts a 3d cast of a flexed arm with budging muscles and veins.

"The First duellist to duel next is Sergei Ivanoff"

the machine spits out another Sphere which the guard looks at. he looks around the room before throwing it towards a group of people.

within that group a White haired boy catches it surprising everyone even him it seems, he looks at the sphere and sees it depicts a 3d coin, one side has a cup of tea while the other depicts an ominous Ring.

"The Second Duellist Is Bakura Ryou, Can both Contestants make your way to the arena outside."
