Chapter 18. Skylar's POV

Call me a jerk and I'll agree. Why did I have to say she was a problem. After our conversation of her being related to Kathy, I started my research. I'd asked Kathy about her family members. They were good. I also asked if I could visit. It would be up to them since it'd a long time and the family was away. I hadn't realized my thoughts till they rolled down my lips as words.

I swear by every cell in my body that the amount of regret I had was equivalent to the shock Eileen wore on her face. Kathy came closer, tapped me and asked a question. I was barely listening as I apologized to Eileen. Tears were in her eyes and I felt very bad .I wanted to follow her but Kathy pulled me to my next class. I sat in class but kept watching the time till the period was over. I picked up my back and rushed out the class to the parking lot. The gang met me there.

" What's wrong with you?" Kathy wanted to know.

" Nothing " I replied.
