Vasili was walking next to me with his hand in mine as my other hand pushed the shopping cart. From the moment we had stepped out the car there were multiple curious eyes looking in our direction. I had no idea if Vasili noticed or was just pretending he did not, because he was rather composed and happy.

Normally he would have glared people off to make them stop staring. This time he did not seem to have a care in the world as he grabbed all the vegetables and the food he wanted.

"Ed, do you want pumpkin?" He asked as he eyed the smaller pumpkins.

"Pumpkin?" I laughed as he picked one up. It perfectly fit in his hand as he turned it over.

"Aren't they adorable? Hello little pumpkin," he smiled and cradled the small vegetable in his arms.
