Lux's POV

February 17

Last month we did nothing serious we did some work, we trained together so we can do a better job next time, so we don't run like a fool as we did back then, so yeah.

We are currently in the blacksmith shop to choose better equipment than we use now. I'm roaming around the shop to find a better sword that fits me.

I see a lot of swords here, like a Rapier that is good for poking through an enemy. This katana can slice through anything as long as you can handle it perfectly, a greatsword for brawn type since it's large, a short sword for beginners. A lance for long-distance fighting, A dagger for assassins and thieves that has excellent agility and fast movement and also cheap can be used as a secondary weapon and finally a long sword.

There's a lot of variable of the long sword here, but I'll choose the ordinary one since I don't have the money right now; the next thing I find is armor. There's full body armor and a light one, and I choose the light so I can quickly move without restraining my movements and full body armor is a heavy one, so I don't want that.

My body can't handle too much weight. I paid for all of this and got out of here. I head to the inn, so I clean this a little more and sharpen my blade to deal a lot of damage and lethal attack when I fight.

I waited for Blue to come back. I know he's still in the blacksmith shop and finding a better and good-looking dagger, like a man that's just outrageous.

He said he wants it to look good and better to use, so good luck on him for that. While waiting for him, I examined the map I bought long ago.

Our town was near the seashore, and the last town I heard was this town while pointing to the town of Adonis and Salem, so our next destination was the town of Kirsten. It's a big village, so I think there are a much better bounty and better equipment that we can see in there, so that's we're heading next.

When blue Arrive, we immediately set out for a journey to the town of Kirsten. This place is more of a city, but not because cities are grander than that.

Since it's near, we arrive at precisely 12:30 pm, so we still have time to rent or to look through the Tavern to find a job we can take.

We immediately rented a room at the inn, dropped our stuff, rested for a bit, and headed out again to go to the Tavern. As we were walking by the streets of this place, I noticed a girl head towards the blacksmith and leave, holding two Bow, the first one is a slight bow, and the second one is a more oversized bow. She also bought a ton of arrows; in her back pocket, there's a dagger, I'm guessing for close combat if she runs out of arrows or the enemy approaches her.

She has long hair and wears a few metal plates on her right arm and leather armor on the leg. She's 5'5 in height. I couldn't see the face because it's far, so seeing the details.

Her armor fits her role since she's an Archer and a sniper because of her longbow. Archer is a long-distance attacker, and I know most of us knew that, right?

It's rare to see a girl holding such equipment, but oh well, that's what you call gender equality. We continue to walk towards the Tavern, and we bump into someone.

I stared at this person, realizing that she was the girl I had seen earlier. She's carrying two bows on her back. That's insane if you ask me.

Instead of saying sorry, she walked past me like I was not there. That's so cold.

"Well... that's rude," says Blue while holding his chin.

We headed towards the Tavern and saw a group swarming the girl; my body moved independently. Snatch and hide her in the back of me.

"What are you doing to my party, lad?" I said politely to the ruffians while smiling at them.

I guess there's no turning back now. I did this, and let's hope this thing will turn out well.

"Oh, so you're in their group, how about we trade? I'll give you this money, and you give that girl." he looks at his back. "Is it an alright leader?"

"Do what you want. I don't give a thing about it," their leader said while looking at his equipment.

"Well, how about giving some respect first?." I pushed the girl to Blue, kicked this man in the face, and knocked it out.

"hey, what did you to our subordinate, you fool!" He tried to punch me, but I dodged him and punched his face.

There are three of them, and they start to attack me constantly. So the most efficient way to deal with guys is to beat them out one by one. The first one struck me, so I used his momentum to slam him to the ground, and because of this force, he blacked out immediately.

The second guy tried to punch, but I blocked, and I overlooked the other. He grabs me and throws me to the wall. I hit the wall headfirst, so my point of view is shaking, and I will like I will throw up.

He punches me in the stomach three times that I cough blood out of my mouth. This is not good, and he pushed me and my trip. I used this opportunity to knock him using a sweep kick, and he tripped and fell and used my elbow to hit his nape so he would easily blackout.

One person left. I stood up and couldn't see the last person, and I suddenly felt like something was sharp was thrusting my back, and it did, I didn't feel the pain, so I circled behind him and kicked him in the wall and used his weight to slam him in the table.

"That's fun... hoo!" I grabbed the knife in my back and pulled it out, then threw it to the owner of it. "Blue, find a job for us, and we better head out."

I was about to leave when their leader walked towards me. "Want to fight?" I said to intimidate him.

He's a big body; I'm guessing it's all muscle. He was 6'6 in height and had scars on his face, but he looked fantastic when it came to looks.

"Nah, why would I? That's a waste of time." He laughed at me. "You did great back then. I thought you're screwed, but you have a body of steel and move like a beast."

"Thank you then," I said to him politely.

"By the way, I'm Steven, so let's get straight to the point. Wanna join my party?" he asked politely.

"Nah, I'm good, but thank you for your offer," I said while scratching my head.

"Hmm... that's interesting. What's your name, kid?" he asked.

"My name is Lux, sir," I answered.

"See you soon, I guess. It's time to end my contract with those insolent fools. Ugh, what a pain." he left the Tavern and headed towards the inn.

I walked outside, and I remembered something. The girl, where is she? I looked in the Tavern and saw her also finding a good bounty. When she found one, she immediately walked out and stopped beside me.

"I didn't even need your help, so I'm I don't owe you something." And then she left.

"That's... infuriating," I whispered to myself. "I save you from there... That's not fair at all." I said with a disappointed tone.

"Hey there! I found one. Let's head out!" He walked ahead of me, and I followed him.

He talks about how I fought during that time, and he was shocked when I knocked all three of them. He was imitating it as well. He's really like a kid. We were walking for about 30 minutes, and suddenly I felt nauseous. I tried to keep my eyes open for several minutes, I couldn't hear what Blue was saying, and then everything went black.

Blue's POV

"So Lex, How did you manage to get the three of them?" I asked, but He didn't reply, "Lux?" I looked at the back and saw him fall.

I immediately rushed towards him and saw his stab wound in the back. What he has a stab wound and didn't notice it? I checked my supplies and couldn't see anything that could help to heal him.

I saw someone approaching us, and I waved at that person and walked towards us and saw his condition. I stared at her face, and she was the girl back then.

"How is he?" she asked.

"He suddenly collapses, and I saw this deep stab wound on his back," I said.

"That's bad. I think this man's clothes absorb the blood, so it didn't make a trail." The girl examined the wound. "The town is 30 minutes away, and that's not enough time. he's losing blood fast."

"What should I do?" I asked her.

"You have cloth or something there?" she asked.

I checked my pocket and found a handkerchief. "I have," I said.

"Fold that and put pressure on his wound." She looked into her supplies. "I don't have the first things here."

"Oh no... what will happen..." I started panicking.

Someone help, please walk by this road or something; Lux needs help.

To be continued.
