DxD: Mechanic's Scrapyard

A street rat with an uncanny affinity for machines reincarnates into a world he, now she, has no knowledge of. Being a child again in the wrong gender at that was a bit weird, but that was nothing compared to finding out what sort of beings she was now living amongst. She shrugged her shoulders "Well as long as they don't mess with my scrapyard." --- Author Note: Just a disclaimer for those who don't like OP MC's, she will be pretty OP and I don't really like situations where stories forces the MC to go against someone they literally have no chance of winning against. For those curious about Romance? I don't know, pretty much nothing is planned, however if I do decide to try, the love interest will also be female. The Cover picture is Jona from Alchemy Stars.

Chapter 31 - Ophis Lied As Naturally as She Breathed

Okita looked on as Rias' pawn ran out after getting scolded and slapped, although he was present, he was mostly there as a deterrent towards those at the Ultimate-class, he wouldn't interfere with what Rias wanted to do.

Though approaching the church as a devil would probably not be encouraged, Rias seemed to forget that the church and the fallen angels weren't exactly allies either. Not to mention that most of the higher ups in heaven wouldn't care about an abandoned church long since vacant, barring a few. They were too busy trying not to fall since they couldn't repopulate and ever since 'he' passed, no new angels have been created.

While Okita was in thought he suddenly felt a communication spell being used and heard his king speak a few moments later.

"Okita."

"Hmm? Was there something Sirzechs-sama?"

"It seems the fallen angels' presence in Kuoh was due to Azazel's curiousity, they were apparently stationed to keep an eye on Rias' new pawn."

"I see. However, what of the stray exorcists then? Not to mention one of them initially killing her pawn before he was revived, it doesn't match Azazel's approach." Okita raised an eyebrow.

"Azazel didn't know anything about that either, he was also a bit grumpy that the sacred gear user turned into a devil and is planning to go to Kuoh to check the situation. He should be arriving in a few days at most."

"Got it."

As the call ended Okita rubbed his chin in thought, now then, who was moving behind the scenes? He had a hunch of the end goal, it wasn't a coincidence that something like this was happening so close to two heiresses and siblings of two of the Satans. And although the fallen angels stationed in Kuoh was around Low-class, they probably wouldn't listen to anyone that wasn't also a fellow fallen angel, most of them were too arrogant.

"Hmm."

---

A couple of days later Rias and her peerage teleported away and eventually returned with her pawn covered in blood and injuries. Apparently he had been ambushed by a pink haired stray exorcist with fabulous pink winged makeup around his eyes.

Okita hummed, did he walk too close to Koko's scrapyard? He was a bit curious of how Koko made the compound in the first place, the paint on Surtr's face hadn't even faded slightly and it wouldn't come off no matter how much he raged with his fire.

---

Rias had apparently decided to indulge her new pawn and let her peerage help rescue the nun he had met. Her knight and rook had already left while Rias and her queen was just about to follow them.

"Rias, Azazel will be arriving in Kuoh any day now to check to situation with the fallen angels, they were supposed to be on monitoring duty but I think they pretty clearly strayed from orders. Don't kill them if you can." Okita spoke up from his seat.

Rias turned around with a surprised face at the infromation before she nodded seriously, leaving with her queen in tow.

Koko had just gotten done with another session of breaking down her body using gravity when another when her radar picked up another bout of supernatural activity around the church. There had been a few incidents the past week, however they were really weak so she wasn't really interested in checking them out.

It was much more fun to look at the statistics of her realm gradually rising every day. Although none of them were even close to Super-class yet, there was one that had reached Satan-class already. The only problem being that being the sole Satan-class, it couldn't really fight anything else anymore as the increase in strength would barely be noticeable.

Which lead to another idea. She had already gotten the readings for the teleportation spell the devils used and the very short look she had gotten of the other side of the portal was enough for her to know that most of the staff working in the building she looked through were devils.

She had also discreetly opened multiple smaller portals since then and when she was trying to find where in the world a devil would build a mansion she found out that it wasn't anywhere in the 'world', it was another separate dimension.

Another dimension filled with possibly only devils probably had some strong people and fun things to look at right?

And so, she started opening more portals shifting the location bit by bit, eventually finding a huge forest that she could enter from which she planned on doing the next morning.

Since she didn't really have anything to do right now though, she decided to check out what was happening at the church.

As she approached the exit of her training room, the girl that had stayed at her scrapyard walked over and took her usual position of hanging by her neck.

Thinking of something, Koko tilted her head and looked back at her.

"Hey, what's your name anyway?"

Ophis looked back at her child with her usual blank face and as she was about to answer, her eyes flashed as an idea appeared in her head.

"My name is Mama." Ophis said seriously.

"Huh? I haven't heard that name before. Anyway let's go Mama we're checking out what's happening at the church!" Koko said happily as she marched through the corridors of her underground base.

Ophis' body slightly stilled as Koko calling her Mama reverberated through her head, her slitted pupils sharpened even more and an undescribable feeling filled her body with warmth. Her arms subconsciously tightened around her child as she nuzzled into her neck, a low growl escaping from the back of her throat resembling a purring noise.

"Again." Ophis said, her voice slightly muffled.

"What?"

"Say my name again."

"Why?" Koko asked in confusion as she tilted her head.

"...Let's compete on who can say my name the most times." Ophis thought for a bit, before she settled on deception.

"Mama! Mama! Mama! Ma-"

---

A few minutes later the two were leisurely walking through the forest towards the church, the sounds of nature and Koko making sounds with her mouth out of boredom accompanying them. Apparently Beo had also gotten curious and investigated a bit by itself a day or so ago and ate one of the beings that occupied the church which is why Koko currently had a fedora on her head, it was apparently the only thing left of the body and she thought it looked kinda cool.
