Chapter [53]

Abandoned Church

Kaito and Raynare materialized in an abandoned church, the walls worn by time and covered in moss. The partially collapsed roof allowed rays of sunlight to filter through the openings, illuminating the debris and casting eerie shadows on the walls. The atmosphere was heavy, laden with dark memories and malevolent energies.

Kaito, wasting no time, hurled Raynare against the debris with relentless force.

*CRASH!*

Raynare crashed into the debris with brutal impact, groaning in pain as the intense agony spread through her body.

"Curse you!" she screamed, cursing Kaito, her voice laden with hatred and frustration.

Kaito remained unfazed, his eyes fixed on Raynare, his expression cold and resolute. "Do you recognize this place? This is where you imprisoned Asia," he said, his voice echoing through the empty space as he gazed at the cross in the center of the church.

Raynare looked up, following Kaito's gaze to the cross that still stood, a dark symbol of her cruel act. Her mind began to race, realizing she had no chance against Kaito in a direct fight.

'I need to buy time... think of something,' Raynare thought, desperately trying to find a way out of this situation. She knew Kaito was much stronger and more determined than before.

Raynare tried to get up, but the pain in her body was intense, making her movements difficult. 'I have to be smart,' she thought, quickly assessing her options. 'Maybe I can distract him, or at least buy some time until I find a way to escape.'

She looked at Kaito, trying to maintain her composure despite the growing fear. "Do you think this will change anything? Killing me won't bring peace to your little friend," she said, trying to sound confident.

Kaito gave a cold, cruel smile, his eyes shining with a disturbing intensity. "Peace?" he asked, tilting his head slightly. "Everything that happens in this church is just personal enjoyment." His voice was low, but laden with an implicit threat.

Raynare felt a chill run down her spine, her confident facade quickly crumbling. She realized Kaito wasn't there just to avenge Asia, but also to satisfy a dark need for vengeance and punishment.

Kaito took a few steps towards Raynare, each of his movements calculated and full of intent. He was savoring the moment, watching her every reaction with a cold, relentless gaze.

Raynare tried to move back, but the debris prevented her from standing up fully. "You're insane," she murmured, trying to control the rising panic. "This won't change anything."

Kaito stopped a few meters from Raynare, his eyes fixed on hers. "Do you think I care about that?" he asked, his voice dripping with disdain. "All I want is to see you suffer for what you did."

Raynare felt her breath quicken, her heart pounding wildly. She knew Kaito wasn't joking and that her life was in grave danger. Fear gripped her, making her realize the gravity of the situation.

"Please," she tried to plead, her voice trembling. "I... I can help you. We can make a deal."

Kaito laughed, a cold, humorless sound. "A deal? After everything you've done? No, Raynare. There are no deals here. Only justice."

Kaito raised his hand and the wind began to concentrate in his palm. The air around them was drawn in, creating a feeling of suffocation and intense pressure.

In desperation, Raynare tore her own clothes, exposing her breasts in a desperate attempt to divert Kaito's attention. "You can take me any way you want," she said, squeezing her breasts with her hands, her voice full of lascivious desperation.

Kaito paused the attack, the wind around them calming. He observed Raynare for a moment, a confident smile forming on his face. "You've given me an idea," he said, his voice laden with malice. "Have you ever heard of a carnivorous plant?"

Raynare continued squeezing her breasts, not understanding where Kaito was going with this. Her mind was confused, desperately trying to find a way to escape the situation.

Kaito stomped his foot on the ground, and a giant carnivorous plant emerged from the soil, its jaws full of sharp teeth. The plant bit Raynare, lifting her into the air and starting to chew on her.

*CHOMP! CRUNCH!*

Raynare screamed in pain and horror, her screams echoing through the abandoned church.

"Aaaahhhhhh!"

Kaito watched the scene with a cold, disdainful look. "Didn't you want me to take you?" he asked, mocking her as the plant continued to chew on Raynare.

When the screams finally ceased, Kaito made a gesture with his hand, and the plant began to retract into the ground, taking Raynare's remains with it.

The church fell silent again, with only the echoes of Raynare's screams slowly fading away. Kaito remained where he was, feeling the dark satisfaction of having finally avenged Asia.

Fallen Angels' Hideout

Inside the hideout, the atmosphere was tense and filled with a sense of despair. Mittelt's lifeless body lay in a corner of the room, the expression of terror still visible on her face. She had been the first to be interrogated, but her refusal to cooperate resulted in her death.

Rias stood in front of Kalawarner, who was kneeling on the ground, her hands cuffed behind her back. Rias's expression was severe, her eyes glowing with relentless resolve. Beside her, Akeno watched the scene with an equally grim expression, clearly unsympathetic to the fallen angel.

"Do you swear you have nothing to do with the murders of the humans who made contracts with the devils?" Rias asked, her voice cold and incredulous.

Kalawarner looked at Rias, her face pale with fear. "I swear! I have nothing to do with it! We're only here for the sacred gear wielders!"

Rias narrowed her eyes, her gaze fixed on Kalawarner. "And you expect me to believe that? After what you did?"

Akeno stepped forward, her gaze fixed on Kalawarner. "Your words hold no weight here. We want the truth."

Kalawarner began to tremble, tears of despair streaming down her face. "Please, believe me! I have nothing to do with the murders! Please, show mercy!"

Rias crossed her arms, her expression implacable. "Mercy? After what you and your companions did? I see no reason to spare your life."

Kalawarner sobbed, her words filled with desperation. "I was just following orders! I didn't know this would happen! Please, don't kill me!"

Outside the House

Kaito materialized outside the house, finding Koneko and Kiba on guard. Koneko, with her ever-watchful eyes, noticed Kaito's arrival and nodded slightly at him.

"Kaito," said Koneko, her voice calm. "Rias is inside the house, interrogating the fallen angel."

Kiba, standing next to Koneko, nodded. "They've already interrogated Mittelt, but she didn't cooperate and ended up dead. Now it's Kalawarner's turn."

Kaito looked at the house, feeling the tension in the air. "Understood. I'll go in and see what's happening."

Inside the House

Rias, frustrated by the lack of answers, clenched her fists. "If you have nothing to do with it, then who is responsible for the murders? Speak, or you'll face the same fate as Mittelt."

Kalawarner, desperate, shook her head frantically. "I don't know! I swear I don't know! Please, believe me!"

Akeno watched with a grim expression, showing no sympathy for the fallen angel. "Rias, she's just buying time. We need answers."

Rias took a deep breath, her patience wearing thin. "Very well. If you can't give me the answers I need, I have no other choice."

Rias raised her hand, preparing to end Kalawarner. The magical energy began to concentrate in her palm, glowing intensely. Kalawarner screamed in desperation, trying to move away, but her cuffs kept her in place.

Before Rias could launch her attack, the door to the room burst open with a bang, and Kaito entered, his presence dominating the environment. "Rias, wait."

Rias stopped, the energy in her hand slowly dissipating. She looked at Kaito, surprised by his sudden arrival. "Kaito, you've finally arrived!"

Kaito looked at Kalawarner, who was visibly terrified, before turning his gaze to Rias. "I believe she is telling the truth."

Rias frowned, still suspicious, but lowered her hand. "And why do you believe her?"

Kaito remained calm, knowing that revealing his secret could be a strategic advantage in the future. "Just trust me," he said, his voice firm.

Rias hesitated for a moment but remembered how she had judged Kaito in the past and wanted to make amends. She looked at him, the determination in her eyes softening. "Alright, Kaito. I'll trust you this time."

Kalawarner looked at Kaito, relieved and grateful. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" she murmured repeatedly, her voice trembling with relief.

Rias stepped back, allowing Kaito to take the lead in the situation. "And now, what do we do?"
