"Demon?" she tilted her head cutely. It was then she realised that she was asked a question. Quickly fixing her posture, and coughing to clear her throat she answered: "My human parents named me Mizukume, however that's not my real name. I am Tamamo-no-Mae, nice to meet you." she said with a smile at the end of her introduction.

Sukuna stared at her for a while before he sighed and asked: "So? Why would those maggots chase you? Aside from you being a nine-tailed fox, there isn't anything that they would need from you. And why you didn't realise your divinity? They wouldn't dare to go against a god, as far as I know at least." Sukuna said in somewhat bored tone. He thought that god would be a lot better than this, he once saw a god from a distance. And he has to admit, that even he would have some hard time fighting with them.

"Sadly, I don- WAIT! You know that I am a god?!" she yelled in surprise. She never thought that someone would reveal her true identity so fast. Even though she wasn't at her full power, because she relinquished her divinity and memories to be reborn as a human. But she still got back some of her divinity and some memories.

"Of course I know." he shrugged it off, while saying: "It's not that hard to find out when you are unconscious, I had to place barrier just in case." he said it as a matter of fact.

" *Sigh*, I guess you are right.. and I didn't let my divinity out because I didn't want to be a god anymore. It sometimes gets really boring you know? I wanted to live like a normal human, but it seems like luck wasn't on my side.." she said in upset tone.

Seems like people only respect gods, and even if they do, it's only for their own benefit. And if you are not a human, they will be afraid of you, just because you exist. Quite ironic.

"Heh~ Is that so? Never had a symptathy towards them. You shouldn't hestitate too much, you know? Those idiots will surely come again to kill you, so they could think of themselves as superior beings, who substitued an "evil being"." he said while holding his chin with an arm.

"I know but.. I still quite like them.. I-I just can't kill them all like y-you.. by the way, if you don't mind me asking, what do you think about humanity?" Tamamo asked in shaky voice. She just can't outright hate them.. even if they did all that to her..

"Humans, eh? Narrow minded and greedy idiots, who can only ask for help. They will gladly throw all away if it means their survival. While I don't like most of them, there are still few exceptions." he said with grin on his face. He met few such individuals. Most of them said: "I rather die, than ask for a mercy from Demon." or something like this.

"I see.." she can understand his way of thinking. After all, they were hunting for her, even if she didn't do anything in the first place.

"So, what will you do? Not like you have to go anywhere, I'm sure they will spread news all over the country about you." he said with jovial tone. But Tamamo couldn't get why he is so happy.

"I really don't know.. but why do you seem so happy about it? Or you like it, when people suffer so much? Actually.." she quickly glanced at the art in front of her: "Yeah.. nevermind."

"Hahaha, that's true that I like when people suffer, but you are a bit different. So I have an offer for you.. would you like to come with me? Can't really offer you anything special at the moment, but I can help you out of your dire situation. Not like your rumours will really differ from me." Sukuna grinned sadistically.

He couldn't wait any longer, just the thought about Emperor sending more soldiers against that kitsune fills him with joy. He could have even more fun, and also he could gain quite a lot from her. She is a goddess, youkai and a nine-tailed fox at that. He could test a lot of his techniques on her. Also he needs to slowly gather followers for his future plans.

"Follow.. you?" she didn't refuse it right away, because she actually doesn't have anywhere to go. Also he has a point, now that she remembered, in capital there were rumours about so-called Demon.

He massacred all he could basically find; villages, towns, nearby going armies- he didn't care. As long as he gets to more people to suffer, then he couldn't care less. At least those were rumours about him, and now that she sees him in person, she can certainly say that all about him was true all along.

His offer is quite tempting though, he is strong, so he could protect her if necessary. Even though she has some of her divinity, she isn't specialized against enemies with high quantity. But he instead seems to be balanced.

Also, people hate and fear him as well, just like her, so their situation is not that different. And the most important part is.. he seems to be an interesting person. She doesn't want to be bored again, that's why she relinquished her divinity after all, so she might accept this offer.

"Ehem.. I gladly accept your offer. Please take care of me from now on." she said with a small smile across her lips.

"Likewise." Sukuna answered with large grin on his face.

"So? What we will do from now on ehh.. " she paused for a moment: "Sukuna-san?"

"We are going on a travel~." he stood up and started walking away, whistling at the same time. Now he needs to show her this world in all it's glory. Even if she was a goddess, and was alive for longer than him, she doesn't seem to know about humans that much. She needs to know that people don't deserve mercy, if she will be as she is now, then it will be no good. Because one day, it will lead her to the grave. At least it will be easier, because gods have different mindset, he thought to himself.

Few weeks later

"I see.. I can understand why you destroyed your whole clan now.." Tamamo said with a sad face. They got somewhat closer, or at least Tamamo thought so. Sukuna told her about his past, not that he cares about it, but Tamamo pleaded for few days, so he told her about it. Not like it's something important anyway.

"Yeah, that's basically it. Though I couldn't care less about them nor I care about my past. It was so boring back then." he looked to the side to see Tamamo. Seems like he wasn't wrong about her. She adapted very fastly, now she isn't hestitant to kill people, but she won't do it for fun though. She will kill only if necessary. But that's fine for him, at least he can enjoy more.

These days she learnead what a true human nature is. When Sukuna massacred, they pleaded so desperately, they were ready to sell their families without hestitation, just to survive. They didn't feel any remorse while doing so. That's why Sukuna dislikes humans, but he doesn't hate them. He would gladly massacre other races, if there were any nearby. He heard from youkais that there are other realms, and in those are living all kind of races; devils, angels, fallen angels and so on.

Now he is very interested in them, but he still needs to proceed some of his plans. But when all will be done.. he will make sure to start an all-out war. Not like it won't happen in the first place, he will just speed things up. He can only imagine how many will die in this far. He smiled sadistically.

When Tamamo saw that smile, she could only smile wryly. This guy only thinks about killing and making people suffer. She doesn't know why he likes it so much. She could understand if it was for some revenge or something like that, but the point is that it isn't. He is having "fun" this way. At least he doesn't hide that he is immoral Demon, who likes when people suffer. She likes that honest side of his. Not that he is honest with words, mind you, he is really manipulative. Sometimes even she has hard time understanding his moves. But at least he is honest with his expressions.

Also he seems to be very selfish. But even so, he helped her when she needed it the most, even if he scowled about it later. In this few weeks she thought that she got to know him better, especially after he told her about his past. But the more she listens to him, the more questions she get. But for now, in all honesty, she doesn't care. It's nice when you have someone to talk with, now she isn't that bored before she met with him. Also, it's really interesting around him, because something is always going on near him.

Also they had friendly spars few times, but she can already tell that she is nowhere near him. He didn't even use any techniques to defeat her, only his body to it's fullest capabilities. First of all, his agility is nothing to scoff at. Sometimes, she barely sees him moving, it's like he is using some technique to do small-range warps. Then his sheer destructive power is nothing that she has ever seen before, also it can be very annoying to fight against being who has 4 four arms in total. And even Sukunas mastery in hand-to-hand combat is really high. Even if she specializes in ranged attacks, she knows, that there aren't really many people out there, who could put a stand against him in a close-combat.

Even with her range attacks, she can't really do anything to him. One day he showed her few of his techniques, and to say that she was impressed, is like to say nothing at all. First of all, he uses cursed energy. He didn't really tell what race he is from, or what power system he uses. But now she knows that he is either sorcerer, or cursed spirit. He told her about his past, and how he destroyed sorcerer clan where he was born in.. but those 4 hands, 4 eyes and that completely different mindset, tells her that he isn't just a sorcerer, if he is one in the first place. She will believe that he is a cursed spirit, instead of a human. But then again, how he got to the clan in the first place?

But after thinking for long enough, she just gave up. If she can, she will ask him directly later. Now she is just watching beautiful view in front of her. Sukuna sits on top of the hill in cross-legged position, eyes closed. He doesn't seem to care about world that is around him even one bit. Behind him you can see vast ocean, that shines like thousands of jewels. And there you see, at the back of horizon, red and slightly orange-yellow sunset.

She just can't help but smile at this marvelous art of nature in front of her. Now she gets why humans were so happy with their lifes, even if they were short.
