The Iron Demon Part I
The sound of the audience cheering echoed around. Tan and his friends could not see others’ fights, but judging from the audience’s reaction, they could tell that there were impressive fights.
The contestants in the D Group walked into the field. Each team looked for their team number tags on the field. The trio walked around and looked for the number thirty-one tag and soon found it.
They also found team number thirty-two that they were going to compete against…
Their opponents were waiting for them. They were three guys forming a team. It seemed like they knew Nicki. “Oh…It’s you guys, Tee…?” Nicki voiced.
The three guys laughed and smiled back. “Darn, it seems like luck isn’t on our side, so we are now up against her,” said a guy with a skinhead.
“If we lose to Nicki, we still can win against the other two and get ourselves a ticket to the next round,” said another skinhead guy with three lines on the side of his head.
Nicki looked at the person who just said that and giggled. “Do you think my friends are noobs, Joey?” She asked.
“We’ll see about that,” said Tee, the tallest one in the team, with confidence.

“Each team, please arrange your line-up and send it to me!” After the judge of team number thirty-one and team number thirty-two pair said that, pairs of Sphere-like transparent balls emerged in the field. They were much bigger than a store Sphere and could keep the voices of the people inside, but the people inside could hear the cheering from the audience loud and clear.
“Blanche and I will go first,” suggested Nicki.
“Why is that?” Tan frowned.
“Everyone knows me. I put Blanche first because I want him to test his deck. If anything goes wrong, I’ll change to my real deck,” Nicki replied calmly.
“Real deck?” Tan repeated.
“I’ll use another deck in the first round and save my most powerful deck for later…to prevent others from knowing my deck,” she explained.
“You can do that? How many decks do you have?”
“Five…” That short reply made him widen his eyes.
“That’s crazy…Blanche, she has five decks,” Tan said to Blanche.
“Yeah, I already knew that,” Blanche replied.
“You knew?” Tan questioned.
“I practiced with her when you weren’t around,” noted Blanche.
Tan did not know what to say. Before he could say anything, Nicki made a conclusion. “Blanche, it will be you and me,” she said and went to pass on a piece of paper to the judge. After the two teams handed their line-ups, the judge’s voice rang out…
“Please prepare yourself.” The voice was loud and clear. “The first two contestants who will compete against one another are…” The announcer said in a dramatic voice. “Blanche versus Natee!”
Blanche and Natee walked to the front after the announcement, while the rest stepped back. When the rest of the people went back to the zone prepared for them, the battle finally began.
“The battle will end when one of the contestants runs out of HP or gives up. The winner gets one point for their team. The team who reaches two points first will advance to the next round,” the judge with a mustache who wore sunglasses and a black suit said as he looked at the two contestants. After the two nodded approvingly, the battle had begun.
“Lucky, I’m not competing against Nicki. I’ll easily get the first point to my team,” the guy who stood in front of Blanche said with a confident smile.
“Let the battle between Blanche, the Knight versus Natee, the Gunner, begin!” The judge announced and gestured his hand as a sign for the contestants to start their battle.
“Equip! Equip! Summon!” Natee summoned two 5-star Equip Cards—Wyvern Pistol and Black Lion Pistol—and a 6-star giant golem.

A giant golem made with stones from Andas Mountain with an ancient method of putting souls into golems. It has high Attack and Defense but moves very slowly.

After that, a black giant golem appeared before everyone’s eyes in a kneel-down posture with two fists on the ground. Dust and pebbles fell to the ground as it moved.
Two pistols were in Natee’s hand while in front of him was the stone golem who kneeled on the ground and supported itself with two fists. The golem moved slowly, causing dust to fall to the ground. It was then that the man behind the golem raised his weapons and attacked his opponent, Blanche.

Blanche who had not performed anything yet was the first to be attacked. When players fought against each other, the damage would be lower than when they fought monsters. It was the system designed by the developers to allow more time for the players to show off their skills, allowing the battle to last longer.
Blanche subconsciously raised his arms to block the bullets, but that did not help decrease the damage he received. “Blanche…!” Nicki shouted at him to help him pull everything together.
Natee used his golem as a shield and constantly attacked Blanche. Finally, Blanche started to activate his cards. “Equip! Magic! Summon!”
Three cards were activated, respectively. A 5-star armor was first to be equipped, followed by a Magic Card, Reinforcement of the Army, a card used to summon three 1-star soldiers with weak stats.

Blanche activated another Equip Card. It was the same time that his opponent activated a 5-star Magic Card, Instant Speed, a card that could multiply the speed of ranged weapons by two times.
