"Huff, huff,"
Miles panted, as he pushed himself towards the peak of the mountain. He was close, so close, and he could feel the adrenaline rushing through his veins. The cold air was biting at his skin, and he could feel the wind whipping against his face, but he refused to give up. He had been climbing for hours, and his muscles ached, but he was determined to reach the top.
Miles finally reached the summit, feeling a rush of triumph wash over him. He knelt down on the icy ground, his hands gripping the earth beneath him as he tried to catch his breath. The wind was whipping against his face, and the cold was biting at his skin, but he was too exhilarated to care.
After a moment, Miles sat back on his heels, feeling the fatigue from the climb settle into his bones. He reached for his backpack, rummaging through its contents until he found what he was looking for. A small brown teddy bear, worn from years of love and comfort, was clutched in his hand. He smiled as he placed it beside him, feeling a sense of comfort in its familiar presence.
"I finally did it," Miles said with a mix of joy and sadness as tears streamed down his face. "I finally achieved your dream." He had always promised his best friend Mia that he would climb this mountain one day, and now here he was, standing at the top of the world, looking down at the beautiful landscape below. The stars twinkled in the sky, reminding Miles of all the nights he and Mia had spent stargazing. But as he gazed up at the sky, he noticed one star that seemed to be getting larger and larger. Suddenly, Miles realized that it wasn't a star at all, but a meteor hurtling towards him.
Panicking, Miles tried to stand up, but his legs were too weak. He had pushed himself to the brink during the climb, and now he was paying the price. He knew he couldn't move, and as the meteor got closer and closer, Miles closed his eyes and whispered, "Finally, Mia, I can meet you." But as the meteor got within 1000 metres of him, Miles' eyes popped open as he saw something that he never expected to see. "Un-underwear?" he muttered in disbelief.
"Whoa, hold up! Am I really gonna die from a freakin' piece of underwear falling from the sky? That's gotta be the most embarrassing way to go in history. And what the heck, why is underwear falling from the sky like a meteor anyway?"
As he was about to curse his luck, the underwear hit him square in the face and boom, took out the entire mountain peak.
"Wait, what?"
"Am I dead already? Why is it so dark here? And why does it smell so damn good?"
"Is this smell coming from the underwear? I remember it hitting me but why the hell does it smell so good?"
All of a sudden, the scene came into focus and Miles was shocked to see the mountain he was climbing was completely destroyed.
"How in the world am I still alive?" Miles couldn't wrap his head around it, he was just a normal dude who couldn't break a rock, how could he survive such a disaster?
"Oh, I get it! I get it! After the underwear hit me, it must have attached itself to me and now, I've become superman no, no...I've become Underwear Man!" Miles thought, looking down to see if his guess was correct. If it was, maybe the underwear was already attached to him and had replaced his old underwear.
"What the hell is going on here? I can't seem to touch anything, no matter how hard I try. My hands just go right through everything I attempt to grab," Miles said in frustration as he attempted to interact with his surroundings. He was starting to feel hopeless, as if he was trapped in some sort of purgatory.
Just then, Miles heard a voice. "Cough, cough...you're not an Underwear Man." Miles spun around to face the source of the voice, only to find a man standing before him.
"So, I'm a ghost now, huh?" Miles said, feeling a little low that he became a ghost.
But then he quickly snapped out of his thoughts and asked the man, "Who are you and how did you just appear out of nowhere like that?" Miles was curious and a little bit scared of this sudden appearance. He took a closer look at the man, trying to make sense of what was happening.
The man appeared to be in his mid-40s, with a well-groomed beard that added to his handsome features. Miles noticed something that caught his eye, as he looked at the man's hand.
"Is that...the same underwear that crashed into me?" Miles exclaimed in disbelief as he gazed at the strange object in the man's hand.
Miles was confused. The same underwear that caused a lot of damage was now with the man he saw. He didn't know who the man was or why he appeared. Miles had many questions but the only one who could answer these questions was this man.
