Punishment

I met my friends at the entrance of the school gate. Annie began speaking about her brother's new girlfriend.

She wanted ideas of how to get her out of her brother's life because she was an aweless person and had a very nasty behavior.

As we walked on the veranda that led to our classroom, I suggested that she could talk to her brother about her character towards her.

But Ernest said

"Why don't you revenge on her since she has been mean to you ever since she became your brother's girlfriend".

"I think that's a good idea don't you think so"

Said Ronald

We both shook our heads up and down chorusing" "Maybe"

We are welcomed by our mathematics teacher in the classroom

Ronald enters while we follow him, the teacher asks

"Why are you guys late today".

I replied with a shaky voice with my hands behind me

"Well, we were late for the bus"

the teacher said with a commanding voice

"For being late your punishments is to clean the school library for a week"

"Take your seats"

We walked steadily to our seat, while the whole class had their eyes on us, they began chattering saying this girl Is a new student in our school and she's already in a bad group

"Quite!" the teacher exclaimed

The class was as quite as an undisturbed den

The teacher boldly wrote Mathematics,

I whispered to Ronald "I think this is how all mathematics teachers are they are just too strict"

"I think I agree with that but let's stay quite in order not to get into another trouble with him".

I took out an exercise book and a pen from my bag and followed the lesson.

Finally, the lesson was over. Seeing student rushing out of the class I thought of how to tell my mom I was late for class and was given a punishment to work in the library for a week.

I felt a tap on my shoulder

It was Ronald, "let's go and start the work at the library since its closing already"

Okay

I walked out of the classroom with Ronald and my other two friends behind me

Annie takes the left turn towards the staff room to the library to take the key since the library was closed while we took the right turn towards the library.

While we wait for Annie in front of the library, we see Annie being called by her brother's girlfriend and some group of girls

We saw them speaking for some time but it seemed like they were provoking her so she walked away.

When she got to where we were.

We asked "what was the conversation about" because you look annoyed

Turning the key in the lock she said angrily "that girlfriend of my brother is provoking me". I had always knew that she's not the right girl for my brother. She's like a wolf in sheep's clothing

We all walked in the library. As Ernest closed the door behind him, he said why don't you find a way to prove to your brother that she not of a good character as I said earlier

"Yeah, I think that's a great idea" I said as I picked a rag from the lowest shelf

"Then let's make a date, we will meet on Saturday at Virian Community park since that's where she normally likes to visit so that we can track her movement to find a fault to prove to your brother" suggested Ronald.

"Great" Annie said as she picked a broom from the basket next to the shelf

While Ernest and I raised our hands with our finger folded leaving the thumb to stand erected saying "perfect"

"Then that's settled" said Annie.

In no time I and Ronald were done with the cleaning of the chairs and tables.

While Annie was also done sweeping and was now mopping the floor.

I picked another mop and helped her while Ronald and Ernest cleaned the shelf .

Owing to teamwork we finished early and went to our various homes.
