Chapter 25

February 18, 19XX

"Hey, Eli come here I have something for you"

"Hm? What is it?"

At a cliff two kids walked as they sat down

The boy gave the girl a ruby red necklace as he smiled and said "Happy birthday Eli!"

The girl was stunned and received the gift as she smiled happily and said "Thank you so much Rai, you're the best!"

They both laughed happily until--

Boom!

Thunder strike as rain poured down heavily

The girl held the boy in her hands as she cried painfully and screamed "Don't go! Don't leave me, Raizel!"

But the boy did not move, no, he wasn't even breathing anymore

The girl sobbed before she screamed as thunder intertwined with it.

--Gasp

Opening her eyes Eleri breath deeply as sweats covered her face and she looked around only to see a normal scene

This was the place where Kaylus and her was after they finished fighting those who tried to assasinate them

'What?'

'Didm't I… died?'

"Hey, why are you panting so heavily?"

She suddenly heard a familiar voice and saw Kaylus standing beside her with a confused expression as he asked "Were you tired from killing them?"

Eleri's mind was going insane but she still forced a smile as she said "Yeah, can you just, leave me alone for a minute? I wanna rest"

"Oh, okay" Kaylus nodded awkwardly before he left and went to the other side of the building

As he left Eleri finally flopped down on her knees as she clutched her head and said "This is insane…was it all just a dream or did I regress back?"

"Or maybe-- I foresaw the future?"

'But everything felt so real…'

Draven: [What are you talking about?]

Hearing him Eleri raised her head and was hesitant before she shook her head and said "It's nothing"

Draven was suspicious about Eleri but decided not to ask about it anyway

After stabilizing herself Eleri took a deep breath before she stood up and went to find Kaylus as she said "Let's go, I know where to find the hidden game"

Walking inside the building the same thing happened exactly as Eleri 'dreamed' about earlier and because of it she avoided the monsters and arrived safely at the tower

Before opening the door Eleri warned Kaylus about the other players inside waiting to attack them and so Kaylus set up a trap using his strings

Bang!

Opening the door with a kick Eleri was prepared but found that everyone that she 'dreamed' about that was going to attack them was already dead

And the people responsible for this was standing right before them

Kaylus raised his vigilance as he sensed the danger of those people

Eleri squinted her eyes to see the two figures clearly and as she did she widened her eyes in disbelief as she muttered "Light and--"

"--Nouvel?"
