CHAPTER 2 - HIGHER BEINGS, ARTIFACTS AND PROTECTORS?
"YOUR NOT SURPRISE" the flying object said.
"At first I was shock, but I immediately adjusted. I know already that your an Artifact but I can't figure out where are you from, how can you talk and what grade are you." I said while thinking of something.
"IT SEEMS WE HAVE ANOTHER GOOD PROTECTOR THAT CAN LEAD HUMANITY. EARTHLING, WISH YOUR LUCK FOR WE ARE THE HIGHER BEINGS THAT'S SUPPORT YOU PEOPLE THAT HAVE BEEN CHOSEN TO COME BACK TO THE TIME BEFORE THE EXTINCTION. YOU HAVE TO BOW TO US, LIKE YOUR ANCESTORS. YOU..." the flying object was still speaking until I interjected.
"Higher beings!? It seems that you have a problem with your mind. I already read different kind of novels regarding reincarnation of an MC. Its always their duty to let humanity survive but what I want to hear is, why you higher beings did not help us in the first place. Now your telling me that the Apocalypse may happen again, another hardship for people killing people that had forgotten what the law is, killing zombies, wild animals and mutated ones. Also that fucker, the one calling himself the "Alpha". Do this story never end?" I was so mad that I want to smack this thing into pieces.
The flying object trembled and an angry voice sounded.
"YOU PRESUMPTUOUS ONE!, YOU WHO DON'T KNOW WHO YOU TALKING TOO!. WE CAN EASILY KILL YOU AND LIKE STOMPING ON A BUG. YOU!" the angry higher being angrily said.
"Me! What!?" I reply. I want to mock this one, for if it is really that they can kill me well they are really strong and powerful. Maybe I wont last even a second yet why do I be afraid? I already die once, why can't I really die this time.
The flying object stop moving and stay afloat in the air. The silence in my room makes the surrounding calm. I also relax myself not to cause attention outside. After a minute a different voice resounded, its like a voice that make people listen attentively and be attracted.
"THIS IS THE LEADER OF THIS GROUP SPEAKING. EXCUSE MY SUBORDINATE THAT YOU FIRST TALKING TO. I'LL EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPEN. WE CAN'T HELP YOUR PLANET AT THAT TIME. THIS ARTIFACT IS THE ONLY THING WE CAN SENT TO AID YOU HUMANS BECAUSE WE ARE SO FAR AWAY FROM YOUR GALAXY AND WE ALSO HAVING A WAR WITH OTHER BEINGS. WE NEVER THOUGHT THAT AN UNDEAD BEING HAVE COME TO YOUR PLANET." The leader calmly spoke and then continue.
THIS ARTIFACT IS A TIME REVERSAL ARTIFACT AND THE LAST ONE THAT WE CAN ONLY USE. WITH MANY MORE FUNCTIONS SUCH AS VOICE AND SIGHT AND ITS ABILITY TO TRAVEL BACK IN TIME. ITS ENERGY IS ALREADY DEPLETED AND ITS GOING TO BE DESTROY FOR IT BY-PASS THE LAWS OF TIME THAT IT TOUCHES. OUR MISSION IS TO CHOOSE 10 PROTECTORS THAT WILL LEAD HUMANITY TO FIGHT AGAINST THE UNDEAD BEING IN YOUR PLANET.
I look at the artifact that is floating and notice its cracks showing that the energy itself has been depleted and nothing can be fixed because of its difference to the artifact I use before.
I sigh and ask "Who are the others chosen protectors?". The flying artifact resounded again.
"YOU WILL KNOW IT IMMEDIATELY BECAUSE YOU ARE THE LAST PROTECTOR WITH A LOT OF EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE OF DIFFERENT THINGS UNKNOWN. YOU ARE ALSO THE ONLY WHO HAVE DEFEATED A KING OF ZOMBIE AND MEET THE GOD OF UNDEAD. AS YOU REMEMBER WHAT HAPPEN THAT TIME BEFORE YOU TRAVEL BACK IN TIME. HE IS SPEAKING TO US FOR HE ALREADY UNDERSTAND THE ANOMALY WE HAVE DONE. AT THIS TIME HE IS ALSO COMES BACK IN TIME AND BEGAN TO MAKING HIS PREPARATION TO DESTROY HUMANITY AGAIN. WE, THE HIGHER BEINGS THE GUARDIAN OF BALANCE IN THE UNIVERSE NEED YOUR HELP TO SET THE BALANCE THAT YOUR GALAXY IS FACING. WE ALSO GIVING YOU AN ARTIFACT THAT CAN HELP YOU LEAD THE HUMANITY.
Artifact! What a surprise that I can get an artifact so early. Wait, if I was given an artifact the others also get an artifact too. I'm gonna ask more before I take the artifact.
"You said ,I was the last Chosen Protector?"
"YES" the higher being answer.
"Then when did the others came back to this timeline, It seems the news that I read not made this day and its been 2 weeks." I ask while making up my plan.
"THEY HAD COME BACK SINCE OPENING OF WHAT YOU CALL NEW YEAR. WE HAVE ALSO CONTACTED THEM AND WARN THEM THE UPCOMING APOCALYPSE EVEN IF THEY'VE DONE GOOD OR BAD .THE PERFORMANCE THEY HAVE DONE SATISFY THE NEEDS OF HUMANITY AND OTHER BEINGS. ITS JUST NO ONE HAD EXPECTED THAT YOU, A VARIABLE NEVER BEEN KNOWN TO THE UNIVERSE HOW AMAZING YOU ARE THAT TIME WILL BE THE LAST CHOSEN ONE YOU ARE THE ONE WHO WILL GOING TO BALANCE THE POWER OF EACH OF THIS PEOPLE. The leader complimented.
I began to ask myself. Why me? I never would have thought that I, a happy go lucky guy get the hardest job in the planet today. Did I make too much attention whenever I travel to other country to make trouble because of information and resources or the people that I had trained become the curse I've accumulated because they began to pillage other bases for their stupid reasons. I also know that I did some good things, I guess I don't have a choice but to take this job and set things right from the start.
"Can I still get my first original artifact the Shadow Earrings?" I ask with hope.
"NO, ALL THE ARTIFACTS YOU WHO HAVE BEEN CHOSEN ARE DIFFERENT FROM OURS. WE CAN ONLY GIVE YOU A DIFFERENT ONE THAT CAN BE COMPARE TO YOURS. IT HAS LITTLE ENERGY THAT CAN BE CHARGE UNTIL YOU CAN UPGRADE IT. THE SOURCE OF ENERGY IS SIMPLE AS IT ABSORBS ELECTRICITY OR SUNLIGHT, UPGRADING IT IS DIFFICULT FOR YOU HAVE TO ALSO UPGRADE YOURSELF AND LASTLY ITS SPECIAL FEATURE IS SPATIAL TECHNOLOGY SO YOU CAN PUT THINGS AS LONG AS IT CAN VARY TO THE SIZE OF ITS SPACE." The leader seems like a seller or somewhat a scammer I've been hearing before yet it's not a joke as I receive the artifact.
As I check the artifact, it is different compare to the artifacts I saw from the past. It is a simple round ring yet I was surprised as it feature and ability is really what the this leader of higher being explain. The procedure of owning the product is the blood of the person for its DNA will attached and never easily stolen. The artifact show its status itself and also the owner like in the game. Its a really advance one and unique compare from mine before.

This artifact is really different. I can easily charge its energy without problem. If its full I can stealth for about a 3 minutes straight. The spatial space is my first time to see for it is I really need when I travel different places without the using a heavy bag full of necessities. Its size is like a small closet for now as it is not upgraded yet. All I need is to find the shadow earrings for I know where to find it so it will be one of my plan to get that.
What I don't understand is there are 3 syringe in place inside so I ask.
"What are these?"
The floating artifact seems to be waiting for me to see the item inside as it began to sounded again.
"THAT ARE THE LEVEL UPGRADE SYRINGE FOR YOU"

Artifact – an energy equipment use in the end of civilization. An artifact comes from old civilization like weapons, body equipment, accessories and other materials. It's energy comes from its long life such like a hundred year old sword that is being pass down generations after generations.
There are different type of artifacts
FORGE AND CRAFTED ARTIFACT - If there is an artifact, there is also an artificer, a black smith and craftsmen. They can create crafted accessories or forge weapons and armor equipment. The can also be upgrade the artifact by using of other artifacts like metals parts from defective guns, old and dull sword as long as it accumulated its energy the better. Only an artificer know can feel the energy of an artifact.
Soul Artifact – a rare artifact different to the latter. Its energy comes from nature, faith and history like the shadow earring. Its energy come from the fear of the darkness and belief to the person who owns it is a slaughterer. As long as the wearer becomes strong the artifact also upgraded.
