Reinforcement

Kai and co glared at the mysterious young lady standing in top of the water salamander that he manifested using her magic power.

The one behind everything was revealed to be the Night Eye. Therefore,

"I came here because I received a signal from the communication device we gave you but you barely collected anything." Sassy voiced out while holding a small tube that contained a blue liquid.

"It's because of these guys got in our way. Take care of them." Blake spoke out.

"What's with his girl's mana, It's creepy." Teresa thought with a frown before saying, "To think that the night eye will be responsible for this!"

"Be careful this chick, she easily defended against Sir solid's attacks." Kai explained and warned.

"HERE I COME!!" She shouted as the water salamander kicked the floor for a forward leap and lunged towards them.

"How will you deal with this?" James said before he manifested several mirrors around him and shot multiple light rays towards Sassy.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The rays slammed into cave's walls and bounced off before slamming into the water salamander. But all the rays didn't meet their target as it slight refracted into other directions.

"She refracted all of them." James thought with shock apparent in his face.

"That was a pretty good attack! If it were a stronger attack then things would have been a little different, but.." Sassy explained before the water salamander launched it's hand towards Kai.

Kai quickly reacted and leaped towards the side, dodging the water salamander's attack. Fighting water magic using fire magic was a bad idea due to fire being weak to water.

But if he used that, things will be different. However, Kai had no plans of using it right now. Therefore,

"You won't escape that easily!" Sassy yelled out with a crazed look as the she made a simple gesture, making the water salamander launched his hand towards Kai one again. But this time, it was more faster.

Upon that, Kai engulfed his right hand in flames and swung it horizontally, if he had a sword it would have been an horizontal slash. This action launched his flames forward and it met the salamander's hand.

As expected, his flames quickly went off as it meet the water salamander's hand, but not without dissolving salamander's hand as well.

However, the hand quickly regenerated because of Sassy concentrating her mana into it.

"Damn, that magic of hers is annoying. Even so, it's three vs one, we have the advantage in numbers. Even if she's strong, taking all three of us is impossible." Kai thought calmly as he analyzed their current situation.

Suddenly, fireball quickly launched across the air towards the salamander, threatening to devour it. Seeing so, sassy swiftly jumped out of her water salamander.

The salamander quickly dissolved as it evaporated and died down.

"What? She can also use fire magic as well." Sassy thought in shock as her gaze fell upon Sister Teresa. Even Kai was surprised, he didn't expect her to be able to use fire magic."

As if reading his mind, Sister Teresa said calmly. "As old I may be, I was a former magic knight known as the Crimson Panther." She said so with a smug.

"A former magic knight! I never expected that." Kai said surprised.

"Yeah, but I can't tell you the full story right now. We still need to capture this brat!" Teresa said as she gaze shifted to Sassy, who was cornered by the three of them.

"Now it's three vs one... Things aren't looking good for me!" Sassy said as she thought of ways to shift this situation in her favor.

"HEY GIRL!!"

Someone suddenly called out causing sassy to shift her gaze towards the source and found out it was Blake that called for her.

"I can give you support with my mud magic. Just make sure I can move again, knowing you, you'll be able to heal me, right?" Blake said

"I can, but are you sure you want to?" Sassy asked.

"I'm fine with anything, just heal me and give me some money too." Blake said but his thoughts were different, "Well right, once I'm healed and gotten my money. I'm outta here."

"Alright, I'll do it but are you sure?" Sassy asked

"Yeah!" Blake replied to her question.

"Are you really sure?" Sassy asked once again.

"Yes damnit, now hurry up and heal me!!" Blake shouted out, annoyed with her repeated questions.

"Okay, here I come." After she double-checks that he is certain, Sassy walked over to Blake who was besides her while checking her pockets for something.

"PFUHH"

Sassy brought out a syringe and injected it into Blake's neck.

"DUHDUH"

"Huh?" Blake voiced out surprised as the syringe left his neck but was soon snapped out of thing as an unimaginable excruciating pain assaulted his body.

"GYAHHHHHH!!"

Blake screamed as he felt his body being torn apart from the inside out.

"BLAKE!!" Noah shouted out as he remaianed on the floor.

"What the hell?" Kai voiced out as he witnessed the scene unfolding.

"GUAH.... UGWAHHHHH"

Blake screamed as mud starting flowing from his eyes, nose and mouth.

"AAAAAHHHHHH"

He let out another scream as he started growing in height as mud continued flooding from his body, transforming into a mud like creature.

"What the hell is that? His mana is increasing like crazy!" Sister Teresa voiced out surprised as they watched Blake transform before them.

The former Blake was long gone and what remained was a giant mud creature who looked down on them, literally, as if they were insects.

The mud creature before them let out a huge earth shaking roar that reverberated throughout the cave.

"Oops, looks like this one is a failure as well. He's healed, can move and his mana also increased but he has lost every shred of his humanity." Sassy said so nonchalantly.

"Aaaaahhhh!! It's a monster!!"

The children screamed in fear as they saw the ugly monster before them.

"Kai, James, we need to protect the children!" Sister Teresa voiced out.

"On it!!" Kai yelled as he prepared to unleash an attack.

"Alright then, we are getting out of here!" James yelled to children.

"Huh? What about the sister and that mister" One of them voiced out worried.

"Don't worry, they can take care of themselves but they won't concentrate if they are focused on protecting you." James calmly explained and the children nodded behind following him out of the cave.

"Great! we can focus on fighting now." Kai thought with a smile as he looked at James escorting the kids out of the cave.

But suddenly, Kai's instincts screamed at him to dodge which he obeyed and jumped to the side. It was a reflexive movement that didn't consider his landing at all.

Boom!

Right afterwards. Along with a roaring sound, the ground trembled. The ground where he was at a moment ago was completely hollowed out by the mud monster's giant fist, spreading cracks across the floor.

"Wow, that was close." Kai thought before he ignited his hands in flames and charged forward.
