Chapter-2[Entering the city]

Chapter-2

Soon, my body reached the top of the mountain, and I stopped sending mana to the wings and started to flap them.

Even though I was flapping my large wings, there was not a single sound produced from that.

My sight landed on the horizon, with the sun setting down and the sky showing a brilliant orange shade look.

On the top of my head were three orbital objects, or more simply moons, with one white larger moon, and two smaller, red and blue colored circling around the white moon, rotating in its orbit.

What a spectacular sight…Even though it had been a long time since I arrived in this world, this sight never stopped fascinating me.

After 5 minutes, I started to fly in the north direction, the place where the territory of Avarice Dukedom is. The place where the new Saintess lives.

I had arrived in this world, or more like, I was summoned to this world by the Supreme Goddess thousands of years ago, with the sole purpose of helping them maintain the balance in this world as the amount of mana in the world become too much, more than the world could sustain.

At that time, I was given a choice to become a Dragon…by another dragon, and all of that mana was transferred onto me, turning me into an Ancient Dragon.

Then I started to travel all around the world, learning new things, and adventuring but being a dragon, I slept for a long time intervals, during which, everyone I know already died.

But alas, I got used to that too.

And Dark Goddess was the one who comforted me during that, which made me quite grateful to her even though her life was also not that good.

Even though she was quite weird, no…. 'She is more than weird…'

Haa…no point in thinking about all that.

After flying for around 15 minutes, I spotted a large town in front of me. Even though there were many other small villages along the way, my destination was a single town.

Reaching that place, I lowered myself and used Stealth Magic to make myself hidden. I don't want to see the Town turn into an uproar because a friendly dragon decided to visit this place. After all, dragons were not some cabbage that humans saw on daily basis.

Landing in a forest, where there were no animals or beasts around me as beasts are quite sensitive to my draconic aura, making them instinctively leave this place.

"[Transformation]" I said.

The mana started to flow through my whole body, and my size started to decrease. Along with the size formed, which also started to change and become more and more humanoid.

After some seconds, I turned into a 10 years old kid with a tail going from my back and silvery wings on my back. My hair turned silver, with my eyes remaining the same, black but there was no slit in them.

Lilliana was still 10 years old, so I need to be the same age as her to help her. What she needs right now is the support of someone who could understand her and help her grow more positively.

Using the Stealth Magic-Camaflaouge, I made my tail and wings hidden. Even though I am taking a human form, I am not going to become completely human. My tail and wings were after all my pride as a dragon.

Thinking about it, it had been a while since I entered the human civilization again. Well, I have to be careful as I still remember how much chaos last time my appearance caused.

Snapping my finger, clothes started to appear on my body, from undergarments to a simple white shirt and black pants.

My proficiency decreased in [Creation Magic] …I need to practice more.

Making my way out of the forest, I ran toward the city gate with [Stealth Magic] still in work. Even though the distance was several kilometers, all it took was some seconds to reach the City gate.

I stopped a little away from the gate where no one saw me and removed the Stealth magic and made myself visible. Done with that, I started to walk toward the City Gate.

Even though it had already been quite late, there were still many people around here, some wearing armors, some wearing expensive clothes. I guess merchants.

Reaching in front of the gate where three guards wearing light metal armors and carrying spears with them were monitoring everything.

They were checking some type of Id's… well, time for some magic.

I stood in front of one of the guards, who was the only one who was not checking anything.

"Mister," I called.

The guard turned his attention to me with a weird look on his face.

Huh? Was my appearance weird? Wait…that was not a look that I had ever gotten in the past though.

"Kid, what do you want?" He asked, irritably.

'What is he getting irritated for?'

I was about to answer his question, but the whispering of others caught my attention making me focus on them.

"Doesn't that kid look quite cute?"

"Stop drooling, I am going to call the guards here!"

Even though they were all weird people, my focus was on one carriage.

"Hoh…Hoh…is he an Orphan? Zel, find all the details about this boy…if he is an orphan…you know what to do." A fat man wearing quite luxurious clothes said while looking at me with a look of desire in his eyes.

What a greedy bunch, doesn't he know that he was showing his desire way too easily. Well…not that it mattered though.

"Yes sir." A man who was riding on a horse while following beside the carriage acknowledged.

Haa…another problem…

"Kid!" The guard screamed.

My attention, that was to the surrounding whispering returned back to the guard who was staring at me with an impatient look on his face.

While gripping my hands together at the same time, grabbing the corner of my shirt, I asked, "Mister, I want to enter the city…"

'A pitiful look is the best way to solve a problem else I have other ways too.'
