Aftermath

Goten slowly wakes up in a bed, and a room that is unfamiliar to him.

"Where am I?" Goten thinks to himself.

He then looks over and sees Mr. Popo close to his face.

"Hi." Mr. Popo says.

A startled Goten let's out a yell and falls out of bed. Goten slowly stands up, rubbing the back of his head.

"Don't scare me like that, Mr. Popo." Goten says.

"I apologize, Son Goten. Just wanted to make sure you were alright, you've been asleep for awhile."

Goten soon remembers what happened.

"Hey! is everyone else ok?" Goten asks.

Mr. Popo nods.

"Everyone is waiting outside for you to regain consciousness."

Goten quickly puts on a shirt next to his bed and leaves the room. He walks outside and sees everyone talking amongst each other. Bulla looks over and smiles at him, running over to Goten.

"You're ok." Bulla says.

Dende soon walks over while Trunks has a conflicted look on his face.

"How are you feeling, Goten?" Dende asks.

"I'm fine, Dende. Thank you."

Piccolo then walks over and puts his hand on Gotens shoulder.

"You did good, kid. If it wasn't for you, we all wouldn't be here right now." Piccolo says.

Goten then looks down in disappointment, remembering his masters fate.

"Not all of us are here. I couldn't save Krillin." Goten says.

As everyone smiles, confusing Goten, a hand is rested on his head, surprising him.

"Don't worry about that, you did an amazing job today." A familiar voice asks.

A shocked Goten turns around and smiles when he sees Krillin, holding Marron in his arms.

"Master Krillin!" Goten cheers, hugging him.

"Woah, easy there, kiddo." Krillin says.

"But how? I thought the dragon balls couldn't bring back someone who's already died before." Goten says.

"Yes, earths sets of dragon balls are limited in that way. But luckily Nameks dragon balls can bring back anyone multiple times." Dende says.

"Dende was able to make contact with the Namekians and they were happy to help us, considering that Krillin helped them with Frieza soldiers years ago." Piccolo says.

Goten takes a breath of relief.

"That's great tohear. But hey, where's 17?" Goten asks.

"He left to go tend to his animals. He wanted to make sure Krillin was brought back, even though he wouldn't say it out loud. He did want me to tell you thank you, for finishing off what's left of Dr. Gero."

Goten smiles.

"It was my pleasure, believe me."

Later on, Vegeta and Bulma returns, and Vegeta goes to find Trunks who is training hard.

"Piccolo filled me in on what happened while we were gone. Are you and your sister alright?" Vegeta asks.

Bulma walks in, folding her arms.

"Your father made us comeback early because he was worried. But I told him not to worry." Bulma says, making Vegeta blush.

Trunks pauses for a moment

"I couldn't do anything against that guy. Gotens getting further ahead of me. It's all so... frustrating. I let my current strength get my head again." Trunks says, clenching his fists.

Vegeta and Bulma look at their son, being reminded of the prideful prince. Vegeta signals for Bulma to leave the room, as he puts his hand on his son's shoulder.

"I know the feeling. But you can't let that frustration consume you, son. Keep training, keep working towards your goal. But don't let your anger overtake you." Vegeta tells him.

As Trunks nods, Vegeta leaves him alone to continue his training. The Prince sees the frustration and anger leave his son, he smiles, making sure his son doesn't become bitter like he once was.

Meanwhile, Goten sits on his roof and stares up at the sky. Gohan flies over, then sits next his little brother.

"Heard you had a real fight on your hands. If I would've known what was gonna go down, me and Vegeta would've stayed." Gohan says.

Goten doesn't say anything for a moment, still thinking about Krillins death.

"Gohan... I have to get stronger. Stronger than anyone else. I don't want to loose anyone like that- ever again. Dragon Balls or not, I still cant get the look on Marrons face out of my head. I won't let anyone I care about die again." Goten says.

Gohan smiles, looking at the sky along with Goten.

"Just do your best, little brother. I'm sure you'll be able to protect everyone you want."

Goten smiles.

"Thanks, Gohan."

The two then continue to look at the stars together.

While that's happening, Dr. Gero's computer starts to create more Androids, this time with the goal of destroying Son Goten instead of Son Goku. Before the process is finished, an explosion happens, destroying the computer and the entire room. Android 17 flies above the destroyed lab, with a smile on his face.

"I feel much better." 17 says, flying off.

Meanwhile, Krillin and Lazuli watches Marron sleep, leaning against each other.

"I'm sorry for putting you guys through so much today. I should have fought harder."

Lazuli smiles, putting her hand on the side of his face and kisses him on the cheek.

"Let's not talk about that. We're together. We're a family. That's all that matters." Lazuli says.

Krillin smiles, resting his head against Lazuli.

"I think it's time for me to retire from fighting." Krillin says.

"Whatever you decide, we'll be in your corner." Lazuli replies.

Krillin smiles.

"I'm a lucky guy." Krillin says.

Back with Goten, he and Gohan notices Bulla in the sky. Goten smiles, flying up to meet her.

"Hey." Goten says.

Bulla smiles.

"Hi. I just wanted to- check in. Are you really ok?" Bulla asks.

Goten smiles.

"I'm better now. Are you ok?" Goten asks.

Bulla grins.

"I'm ok. You just scared me today, jerk." Bulla jokingly says, lighting punching him in the arm.

Goten chuckles.

"Sorry about that." Goten says, rubbing the back of his head.

At that moment, Bulla hugs Goten, causing him to blush.

"Just- be more careful next time. Dummy."

Goten smiles and hugs her back.

"You got it." Goten says.

While the two hug in the sky, Gohan smiles and flies home, leaving them alone.
