Ch. 287 Dispute over the crown

If Elric knew how much he had just stirred the pot, he would not have actually left, but would have gone to an altitude that made it difficult for even elven eyes to see, by saying that Princess Jade Thorn Rose might return to lay claim to the throne despite being the youngest and female, he cause a massive storm to start brewing in the minds of her brothers. Even though the crown should and would normally pass to the eldest son, or be retaind by the queen in some cases, their was always a bitter secret fight over it between the three brothers. Jade Thorn Rose had never showed much interest in it. But that was because she always thought that she would be sold off to whatever noble house offered her father the biggest pile of gold coins and army to call upon.
