Night of discovery

Leaving the beach Seo Jun and Jasmine walk towards the lagoon holding hands. The fragrance of plumeria fills the air as the sun begins to set in the horizon. Their guide glances back at the couple smiling at the affection the two share.

" Miss may I ask you a question?" The guide asks.

"Of course if I have an answer I will tell you." Jasmine answers half heartedly distracted by the flowers and birds all around.

"What is your relationship with our queen? None of us have ever seen her so warm to anyone. I myself am over a century old and she barely speaks except to give introductions." The guide asks sadly.

"Well that is a little complicated but she is my cousin. I know that your kind in general are not affectionate. It has been hard getting her to open up and allow any of us close. It takes time for those who do not show affection normally to do so. I do know that she loves her people dearly and that it has only been twenty years or so that she has gotten to know some of her family. For her that is not much time . Zehara is just getting used to being affectionate with us that is mostly because my family would not have it any other way. It could also be that she is unsure of how her people would react to her suddenly becoming affectionate. I'm sure she has been warmer to all as she has felt the love of her family." Jasmine looks at the guide wondering why he asked her the question.

"I know she has been giving us more gifts and praise than before. She used to just accept that everything she asked was our duty. Now she says thank you and will give rewards. She did not do that before her mother returned." The guide answers with a slight smile on his face.

"I'm sure she will gradually become more giving as her people become accustomed to it." Jasmine replies as they enter the clearing. Jasmine gasps in delight to see the torches light up the area with a large circular tent of sheer curtains next to the lagoon. A circle fire pit has a fire of fragrant herbs and wood burning. There is a bed inside of the tent with a large table filled with island delicacies. A bottle of champagne is chilling with a note.

"My sweet Jasmine,

I know you are not of legal age to drink. I already consulted with the elders, they agreed that since this is a special event it would be ok for you to have this. I hope that you and your husband are blessed with a beautiful night of love to hold in heart for the time of your separation. Hopefully it will not be for long. No one will bother you tonight. I have a surprise for you in the morning before you are due to go back.

Jasmine reads the letter out loud so Seo Jun knows what was said. Jasmine giggles at the thought of the elders debating if it was ok for her to drink or not. Seo Jun on the other hand is slightly miffed about it. Hearing him sigh as he sits on the bed Jasmine looks at him puzzled.

"What is wrong?" Jasmine asks Seo Jun .

" I think I should be the one to decide if my wife is old enough to drink or not . Not your family." Seo Jun irritation is very evident in his tone.

"It's not that, my family truly could careless. My mom was not of age when she married my father. She had not even graduated high school yet. They let her have champagne when she married. I think Zehara was only wanting to not make a mistake. I have never had alcohol before of any kind. I'm sure she was just making sure that she would not get into trouble. Zehara is different than the others she doesn't interact as much. It was a big deal for her to let us come here. It took a long time for her to accept her human family. My father and mother would never question what you think is ok for me of that I'm sure." Jasmine stands in front of Seo Jun leaning into him hugging his head to her chest.

The surface of the lagoon is calm except the bright light coming from beneath. A beam of pure light shoots out of the center of the lagoon as Seo Jun gives himself completely over to his dragon. Every nerve of Jasmine's body is alive and pulsating with love and desire as Seo Jun fills her with his seed. The couple resurfaced gasping for air holding onto each other .

"Woman do you realize what just happened?" Seo Jun asks Jasmine.

"The most incredible lovemaking in the world. I thought our wedding night was amazing but compared to this . I have no words to describe how I feel." Jasmine stares at her husband in a daze.

"Yes , but no I could not control my dragon. I have not had power like that in five centuries. My dragon only wanted one thing to mate with you. I do not know where all that power came from. My pearl is not fixed and I have never had that much power before." Seo Jun tries to explain but the words are failing to describe what he wants to express.

Jasmine kisses Seo Jun softly and whispers.

"It is ok, it is the power of your love for me. Just like when I transformed into my nine tail form on our wedding day. I have never had a single gift till then , now I am noticing that I have quite a few. I can telepathically connect to those around me. I can heal any injured . I can breathe under water without an oxygen tank. I can Manipulate water. I don't know if it's your dragon fire or if it's like Luxe said. That I would only manifest my gifts when I found my true love. I don't care as long as I am with you." Jasmine takes Seo Jun by the hand and walks with him out of the lagoon.

"Seeing my dragon like that did not scare you?" Seo Jun asks.

"Why would it , inside is still you. I don't think your dragon would ever hurt me. I have wanted to ask you about the change of your kind. Do you know what happened to him?" Jasmine asks Seo Jun .

"No, we only know that after a millennia of being just dragons we were altered. No one knows how. Only that he wanted the souls of the maidens captured in the crystal beds. Our heart fire would burn a maiden to ash and from those ashes a male dragon in human form was born. It wasn't until a human woman fell in love with her captor. She withstood his heart fire by taking it into her body. That was when the first silver dragon was born my great great grandfather. After that we started having both male and female dragons again with the abilities we now possess. None of us know the why's or how's of it." Seo Jun looks up at the star filled sky wondering exactly what was the purpose behind their existence.

"I believe that the ones my father defeated twenty years ago are the ones behind your kinds change. Several of my dads brothers were changed into sea creatures to do the same thing. The stone basin by the river was made by Aunt Lotus so my grandfather could release him from the spell. Now it is used when we have picnics or celebrations as an ice pool for drinks. When we get your pearl fixed and your father out of rule I think you and the father should chat." Jasmine says as she drifts off to sleep
