Iron Will “She's the only one I'll protect, even beyond death.”

That night Jace wasn't able to sleep; the Rats slept on the floor and cuddled each other to keep worm. A basement was extremely cold, because of the basement was right benith the meat locker.

Hilary and Jace would sleep at the edge Rat huddle. The young boy was slowly thinking of how he was going to provide for his Sister and himself, those cockroaches wouldn't have happened if he never had that stroke of luck.

He fell asleep not paying attention to it as much. Trinity on the other hand was wide awake, for completely different reasons, with her closet friend Esperanza Mutly North Quell Feather... " Hey hey hey so tell me know about your new crush. There has to be someone who's gonna slay this deadly dragon", Esperanza said with a large smile.

" I honestly feel much comfortable married to my bed, so sorry I'm taken", " Ahhhhh....Come on don't give me that. Your such a bass kill, don't tell me your still going on with that idea of becoming a Pathfinder".

" Espy come on that's my dream, I really want to do more than just this... creepy old lady in the Quell Feather. Sometimes I really wish my dad wasn't such an overprotective man", Trinity said.

During there meeting the Quell Feather received information from the Church Order Head Pop;

•They were to send fifty Rat corpses to them for economical value.

•They were also to fill in the names of the participants of each game during the Trench Cort battles:

- State Breakthrough.

- Provincial Crisis.

- District Defensive.

- Regional assault.

- Continental Explosives.

• They were also to send out the elite Pathfinders on there Provincial expedition.

So as requested the Pathfinders stormed into the basement and began to pick out these that seemed to too weak to survive on there own. Jace got up with a blurry vision and a painful head ache.

He wondered why the Pathfinders were acting so strange, in his thought were questions about weather or not the Rats they were going to be killed. Though what caught him off guard was that they seemed to be getting a larger number than usual.

"JACE! ", Hilary yelled as one of the Pathfinders snatched her from the group. Jace lost all tethers of control and charged after the Pathfinder, before savagely pushing him to the ground.

The other Pathfinders laughed at there conrad for being easily overpowered. He grabbed his sister and one of the Pathfinder's knives. The others got worried and aimed there guns at him, Jace looked at his beautiful little sister one last time and she cried while tightly gripped his clothes.

If there was one thing Jace didn't like, was Hilary cry. He through the knife upwards them arcing it high enough for them to loose focus on his jumping elbow.

The knife landed into the Pathfinder's face...Jace quickly grabbed the gun and the knife, before stabbed the one behind in the neck while shooting the one infront of him. The remaining four, fired shots at the boy how perfect zigged towards them.

He launched himself upwards, before using the claw to scratch the closest one's face... blood splattered on the floor and on the Pathfinders who were now scared of dying at the hands of a Rat. With a hard hit to the head Jace was knocked out by the Pathfinder whom was first attacked.

Completely shocked at how much damage this Rat had caused they reported both Hilary and Jace to Lord Zephyr. Shocked at the news the Pathfinders had given him, he had and an idea, but he needed to see Jace's skills first hand to believe.

The next morning Trinity was getting ready to go visit little Hilary, she snack out some of food from the other day hoping to put a smile on little Hilary's face. Completely unaware of the night active she expected to find Hilary playing with some rocks or draw funny shapes on the ground.

She arrived to a scene that completely puzzled, the basement wasn't full of children anymore. Infact there just a handful of Rats left, Trinity said to herself " Please tell me they didn't get her? Wheres that idiot Jace... stupid, stupid, stupid".
