Looking into his eyes, Jessie was startled. He was grinning at her, but she was well aware that his smile was actually malicious. How on earth did he discover who she was? "You have the wrong person. I am Jessie Walker." She spoke so assuredly before turning away from him. As soon as she reached for the wine, she put it back. She was told not to drink because she was pregnant.
She felt Nick's breath on the nape of her neck as he drew closer to her. He dissuaded Jessie from turning around before she had a chance. "Don't move." He whispered. "I am aware of who you are and your purpose for being here."
