I sign out, Shannon and I talked before I started we agreed on taking it slow so I dont burn myself out especially since me just getting out of the hospital a day ago

I look over slipping my sweater over my sports bra quickly since it was just a piece of glass separating the doctors change room and the E.D

I walk out seeing the older Halstead and April talking

"Hey you doing ok?" Will asks I nod my head

"Ya now I'm just going to go home before picking Ryan up" I say slipping into my shoes and pull my watch on

"So are you things seem to be getting serious with you and Jay" Will speaks up as I smile

"Ya he is really nice and i dont know i hope it works out after all we both been through" I say knowing both of our pasts

"I do too you'd be a great addition to our little family same with Ryan" he says

"Well I'm going to-"

"Will Baghdad we have a motorcycle collision coming in no info just know its bad" Maggie runs past and Will waves bye before following Maggie as the paramedics rush by

"So when you coming back full time?" April asks, I shrug my shoulders

"Until I'm no longer a 'liability to the hospital' as the board says, cause of my past and now with my in and out of the hospital recently" I say puckering my lips in

"Plus me just getting out after the accident" I say rotating my arm a little still feeling small stiffness

"And I'm still going through physio therapy still have a lot of stiffness in my shoulders"

"Well I cant wait for you to be back full time" April says as another Ambu rolls in

"I gotta go, text me later ok seeetie" she says before rushing off I say om before walking towards the parking lot

"Fuck!" I shout realizing that I carpooled with Will and now I had no way home

I grab my headphones deciding to walk since it wasn't to far

After a 30 minute walk I now stand in front of my apartment building I look at the time

I walk into my apartment and quickly throw my bag down and grab my car keys grabbing a bottled water from the fridge before walking back out

I grab my wallet holding it between my fore finger and middle as I turn to lock the apartment

"Kennedy?" I freeze realizing the voice, I slowly turn to see my father Ramon
