The 3rd Pokemon

Enduring his disgust, Wang Shòu almost had the idea to kill the disgusting Blazing Demon Lion in front of him.

Before, he felt guilty about sneak attacking an injured Blazing Demon Lion, but now all the guiltiness was gone within an instant.

'Damn you! Why did you have to lick your digesting drool all over me!'

'I won't kill you, but be prepared to be severely hurt!'

Wang Shòu thought in rage, ignoring the fact that he was asking for it by coming up with such a stupid trap.

But did he have any choice? With his small hand, he couldn't make a decent trap, not to mention he doesn't know how to make traps.

So his only idea was to pretend to be dead and lure the injured Blazing Demon Lion to his 'corpse'.

Wang Shòu admitted that there were many much better trap ideas, but when time is limited, he just had to settle for it.

"Pika!!" (Electro Ball!!)

With the Nasty Plot used three times already and the boost provided by anger, the Electro Ball that was conjured up was far more powerful than usual, and it could OHK a 700-year-old spirit beast!

Sensing the danger in that ball of electricity, the Old Blazing Demon Lion roared, resisting the paralysis from the Thunder Wave, and spewed a mighty wave of fire.

Bang!

A small explosion could be seen from a distance away, making birds fly away.

As a result of the confrontation between fire and electricity, huge smoke appeared, engulfing both the Old Blazing Demon Lion and Wang Shòu.

"Roarr?"

The Old Blazing Demon Lion immediately reacted, looking around among the smoke vigilantly, his body on guard with no loophole to take advantage of.

'Feint!'

Suddenly, a small dark shadowy creature hit the Old Blazing Lion's left side at such a fast speed that he couldn't react at all.

The Old Blazing Demon Lion's body suddenly became sluggish as the left side was the place where the new Blazing Demon Lion King had been seriously injured. It had recovered before, but only slightly.

Taking advantage of this, Wang Shòu, who was hiding among the smoke, conjured up another Electro Ball again.

'Electro Ball!'

Moving at a fast speed that the sluggish Old Blazing Demon Lion failed to react, the Electro Ball hit the Old Blazing Demon Lion directly.

"ROARRR!"

The pain finally snapped the Old Blazing Demon Lion out of the sluggish state, and he roared in tremendous pain.

Being tricked by a yellow mouse and constantly being in pain by the yellow mouse, the Old Blazing Demon Lion was extremely aggrieved and seriously injured.

Feeling that he did not have long to live and might die, his face turned into an expression of rage.

As a prideful Blazing Demon Lion King, even as a former one, how could he bear being this aggrieved by a yellow mouse?!

In the name of his pride as Blazing Demon Lion King, he would teach the yellow mouse the consequences of angering him, even if he died!

"GROWWWL!"

The mane made out of fire began to erupt and burn vibrantly until it turned into a roaring flame, surrounding the entire body of the Old Blazing Demon Lion.

With the appearance of being surrounded by fire, coupled with the seriously injured body, the Old Blazing Demon Lion truly looked like a Demonic Lion that came out of Hell!

Opening his mouth, massive flames began to accumulate at a very fast speed, and then the Old Blazing Demon Lion gushed out perhaps the most enormous and powerful fire he had ever produced in his life.

With a temperature hot enough to easily melt a person instantly, it went toward Wang Shòu at incredible speed.

'Crap!'

With a serious expression and seeing no way to retreat, Wang Shòu knew he had to go all out or he would not survive!

'Quick Attack!'

Suddenly, Wang Shòu rushed at the mighty wave of fire, as if he was almost committing suicide.

Wang Shòu got so close to the fire that he could feel the hot temperature on his skin.

'Now! Electro Ball!'

Originally running at the flame at a very fast speed, Wang Shòu suddenly kicked the ground and jumped up in the air.

Spinning forward, Wang Shòu conjured up a massive 2-meter ball of electricity, far bigger than ever.

Then the ball of electricity was thrown right at the huge wave of flame.

BANNGG!

An enormous explosion much bigger than the last time was heard again, and this time it even alerted all the spirit beasts within 10 kilometers of where the battle was.

Enormous smoke, like before, appeared again, engulfing both of them again.

Panting and gasping for breath, the Old Blazing Demon Lion struggled to barely stand as he watched, trying to see what the result was.

Staring intensely for a while, the smoke began to clear up a little until the Old Blazing Demon Lion could see a shadow of a standing yellow mouse.

"Roarr..."

Roaring disappointedly at the result, the Old Blazing Demon Lion finally collapsed to the ground unconscious.

The smoke finally cleared up to reveal Wang Shòu in a perfectly fine condition, except for dirt and smudges on his body.

'Sigh. That was really terrifying...I can't believe that an injured Blazing Demon Lion King who was 1,000 years old has this much power...'

Wang Shòu was really lucky, really lucky there.

To be honest, Wang Shòu doubted that if he didn't have the move Feint to catch the Blazing Demon Lion off guard, he might actually lose.

Feint is a move that he learned when he leveled up to 16. At first, it seemed like a very weak skill in the game, as it had weak attack power, and the only special feature was its ability to attack Pokémon who are using Protect.

But when it came into reality, Wang Shòu found that Feint turned into a God-level skill! It was still a weak move, but the difference was that it could hit the target no matter what, even if the target was vigilant or using defense skills.

This was perfect for harassing the target and catching them off guard!

But the Quick Attack, along with Electro Ball, was the main reason Wang Shòu was able to beat the Blazing Demon Lion who burst out with powerful strength in desperate time.

He knew that Electro Ball became more powerful the faster the user is. So he suddenly had a thought. Quick Attack can temporarily raise the speed for an instant, so if he were to use Electro Ball within that time, the Electro Ball would be more powerful than ever!

And thankfully, it really did work.

Nodding satisfied, Wang Shòu suddenly stumbled, feeling almost out of energy.

'Ugh...even so, this battle took a lot out of me...'

Groaning slightly, Wang Shòu suddenly heard a notification.

[Congratulations! You leveled up! You are now currently level 20!]

[Since you have reached level 20, you are able to choose your 3rd Pokémon. Would you like to view it?]

'Yes!'

Wang Shòu's eyes shined, this is what he hoped to hear after defeating the powerful Blazing Demon Lion!

Then a blue long list, much longer than last time, appeared in front of him.

'Hmm...so far, the list is full of random Pokémon...I can't judge what's the standard in this list...'

Scrolling through the list, Wang Shòu saw some decent Pokémon that could be fairly powerful, while there were Pokémon that were very weak even after evolution.

But that is not what Wang Shòu cared about. Charizard is more powerful than most of them, so he is good for now. What he needs is a healer Pokémon, and so far, he hasn't seen one.

'Come on, come on...give me Happiny or Audino....at least a Pokémon who can heal!'

After searching for a long time, Wang Shòu finally found what he needed.

'Yes! I finally found a healer Pokémon! I choose you!'
