"This... this is actually the most powerful continuous forging technique, the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer Method." Tom stood there, dumbfounded. His face, darkened from the sun, turned slightly red with excitement.
He admitted he could forge a piece of raw iron like Tang San had just done, but it would take him at least half a day. Tang San used the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer Method and finished in less than a quarter of an hour. How could Tom not be shocked?
Tang San was equally astonished and asked Tom what the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer Method was. Tom naturally explained everything he knew.
After learning that the hammer technique his father, Tang Hao, had taught him was the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer Method, Tang San conversed with Tom for a while. They eventually agreed that Tang San would come to work every afternoon, earning a monthly salary of one silver soul coin before leaving.
"Haha, you clever boy, you've brought us a treasure for our blacksmith shop," Tom said, excitedly patting Lan Si on the shoulder as he watched Tang San leave. "I'll mention this to your Uncle Otto later. He'll be thrilled."
Lan Si gave a small smile and walked to the furnace. He lifted the forging hammer Tang San had just used and turned to Tom. "Uncle Tom, let me give it a try too."
Seeing Lan Si effortlessly lift the hammer, Tom's eyes widened with surprise. "Lan Si, are you also gifted with natural strength?"
Lan Si shook his head. "I'm not naturally strong. It's just a simple application of soul power. As long as the soul power is used properly, it can multiply one's physical strength several times, even dozens of times."
Tom nodded in realization, smacking his forehead. "Oh, right! I almost forgot you're a Soul Master. If you're interested in forging, just be careful. If there's anything you don't understand, feel free to ask me."
Lan Si nodded slightly, closing his eyes. He recalled Tang San's moves while performing the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer Method. Taking a deep breath, he gave a low shout and swung the hammer.
"Ha!"
The same movement, the same force... Lan Si swung the forging hammer, drawing a semicircle in the air before smashing it onto the piece of iron, already reduced in size.
The sound of metal clashing rang out continuously.
By the thirteenth hammer blow, Lan Si couldn't continue. The hammer almost slipped from his grip. Fortunately, Lan Si reacted quickly, preventing any accidents.
"Phew," Lan Si exhaled heavily. Indeed, the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer Method was not easy to master. Thirteen blows were his current limit. He realized he needed to observe more in the future.
"Lan Si, just now you..." Seeing Lan Si use the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer Method, Tom swallowed and whispered.
Lan Si put his finger to his lips and whispered back, "Uncle Tom, secretly learning isn't something to be proud of. Please keep this between us."
Tom nodded emphatically, looking bewildered. He realised he was starting to lose track of the boy he had watched grow up.
Thus, stealing lessons on the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer Method at Otto's blacksmith shop became a part of Lan Si's daily life.
Every morning, Lan Si would wake up early for physical training, revisiting martial arts techniques to improve his close combat skills.
In the morning, he attended regular classes.
In the afternoon, he observed Tang San forging at the blacksmith shop, practicing the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer Method. He also forged parts for firearms and assembled them back at his dormitory.
In the evening, he went to the library to read Soul Master theories.
At night, he cultivated the "Sacred Universe Technique" and the "Five Thunder Heavenly Heart Technique," honing his soul power and increasing his cultivation.
Lan Si's days were indeed fulfilling.
Because she lost to Lan Si, even though Xiao Wu successfully gained the title of Soul Master, she didn't become the leader of Nuoding Academy. She also didn't receive the admiration of Xiao Chenyu and others.
According to Xiao Chenyu, "Only the strongest can be the leader of the academy."
Since Xiao Wu lost to Lan Si, she could only be the second-in-command.
This infuriated Xiao Wu, who frequently challenged Lan Si. Lan Si, always eager for sparring partners, never refused. Free training partners were always welcome.
The result was always the same. Each time, Xiao Wu left in defeat, accepting her role as the perennial number two.
A year later, when Nuoding Academy had a break, Xiao Wu followed Tang San back to the Holy Spirit Village. Their relationship noticeably became much closer.
Lan Si figured they had become sworn siblings—a pair of love-bound siblings.
During this year, Yu Xiaogang sought out Lan Si several times, subtly expressing his desire to take him as a disciple. But Lan Si evaded every attempt.
"Are you kidding? This guy's only strength is his extensive knowledge of soul beasts. Is it worth it to apprentice under such a hypocrite just for some trivial benefits?"-

Time flew by, and in the blink of an eye, five years passed.
To the southeast of Nuoding City, on the border between the Balak Kingdom and the Star Luo Empire, near the outskirts of the Great Star Dou Forest, lay a dense forest.
It was already nighttime, with a dark moon and high winds.
In the dimly lit forest, a young figure moved cautiously.
The figure appeared to be a girl around her early teens. She didn't carry any luggage.
The girl had long black hair draped over her shoulders, fair skin, and a figure remarkably mature for her age. Her expression was slightly cold, her black eyes lifeless, contrasting with her otherwise beautiful face.
Her limbs were long and well-proportioned. Despite the aura of deathly coldness around her and the rare smiles on her face, one could sense an unfiltered authenticity.
At this moment, she was carefully observing her surroundings, moving cautiously.
Tall trees, over thirty metres high, surrounded her.
Unnoticed by her, four or five shadowy figures hid among the trees, taking advantage of the night.
Switching perspective, a shadowy figure with an even more voluptuous figure than the black-haired girl elegantly raised her right hand, snapping her fingers. She pointed toward the black-haired girl.
The other shadows responded, unleashing their martial souls and launching an attack.
A Soul Master with a violin martial soul drew his bow across the strings, waiting for the right moment to unleash a melody that could disturb the black-haired girl's mind, causing hallucinations.
Three Soul Masters with bow martial souls pulled their longbows, continuously shooting dozens of soul power arrows from all directions toward the black-haired girl.
Whoosh, whoosh...
The sound of arrows tearing through the air startled the black-haired girl. Two yellow soul rings rose at her feet. She activated her martial soul, leaping and dodging to the right in an S-shaped movement, narrowly avoiding the arrows.
However, before she could stabilize herself, more arrows came at her from all directions, sealing off any escape routes.
Helpless, the black-haired girl leaped into the air, trying to dodge by using her limbs and body to evade the arrows' trajectories.
