Douluo Dalu: Ōtsutsuki?

Dying, he awakened in a world different from his. A world of where one could cultivate their 'soul' with some capable of reaching the rank of Godhood. The world of Douluo Dalu. There was nothing that really bothered him about his reincarnation except the fact that he had reincarnated into the body of a six-year-old GIRL! "Why?" He mumbled, reaching under his gown to search for his family jewels. Nothing ____________________ This is my First Fanfiction, and I'm writing for fun. If you have any ideas, let me know.

Chapter 9: Rinne Sharingan Preparation Technique

One night, while practicing the Tang San Cultivation Method, Wong Yazhu felt his Dantian pulse as all his soul power went out, rushing through all his meridians, nourishing them all, before returning to the Dantian as it made a breakthrough.

Spirit Scholar level 10 achieved.

The change from 9 to 10 was notable but small. Wong Yazhu's Dantian could now store about 10% more soul power, and his soul power now moved through the meridians 10% faster, and his soul power recovery was now 10% faster. All in all, his Dantian and meridians got 10% better.

'I guess each level below Spirit Scholar increases by 10%.' He hypothesized as he opened his eyes, letting out a deep breath.

The Tang San Cultivation Method was really something. All his body's physical prowess is more than twice its strength than it was before he started cultivating it. The meridians the method used were much wider than before and more 'clear,' allowing for faster movement of soul power.

If he were to compare his current meridians to the average Spirit Scholar level 10, he would say he could pump about 1.5 more soul power at a time at about two times their speed.

This made him wonder. 'What if I changed the cultivation method to use all the sub-meridians?' If these sub-meridians were absent or removed, it would not impact the meridians' overall functioning at all, so they were no use cultivating them.

The answer to Wong Yazhu's question about altering the Tang San Cultivation Method to utilize all sub-meridians was a definitive no. Upon further reflection, he realized that the cultivation method's precise flow and the necessity of passing through certain meridians or sub-meridians before others were intricately designed, something he couldn't simply modify or tamper with without a deep understanding of the meridians and their specific functions within the body.

Besides, those 5% sub-meridians, although seemingly redundant or unnecessary for the method's effectiveness, might serve purposes not immediately apparent, including ensuring the stability and safety of the cultivator's body during the process.

That day, since he had reached the peak of Spirit Scholar, he decided to reduce his time spent training the Tang San Cultivation Method from at least 5 hours daily to at least 2 hours daily to make way for his other practice. After he reached the peak of Spirit Scholar level 10, he wouldn't be able to progress further until he got a spirit ring.

His Wind Walk Stealth Track had also reached the first stage. It is so effective that, as long as he doesn't talk or they don't see him, no one can notice him walking behind them. However, with Tang San being a peak Spirit Scholar and possessing good hearing, he could hear Wong Yazhu walking from miles away. This is why Tang San didn't notice Wong Yazhu reaching stage 1, else he would be surprised.

Due to his ability, however, an accident happened that made his parents force him to start deliberately making noise when he was walking.

One evening, after Wong Yazhu had finished taking a bath, she walked out of the bathroom wet since her mother or father always took care of drying her, with her wet, black hair draped over her face, obstructing most of her facial features but not impeding her vision. Due to her stage 1 Wind Walk Stealth Track, she had unintentionally moved silently through the house, the only sound being the stirring of porridge by her mother in the kitchen.

Curious, Wong Yazhu approached her mother, standing right beside her. "What are you cooking, Mommy?" she asked innocently.

The shock and terror that seized her mother upon hearing a child's voice, seemingly out of nowhere, and then seeing what appeared to be a 'ghost child' standing beside her caused Wong An to spill the pot of hot soup she was stirring, getting 3rd-degree burns on her entire left leg in the process. Her scream of pain and surprise was sharp and loud, cutting through the quiet of the evening.

Wong Su, who was in the backyard doing his daily evening workout, rushed into the kitchen upon hearing his wife's scream, only to find her in distress and pain. They quickly realized they needed to see the village doctor before taking a horse, which belonged to one of their neighbors, to Nuoding City.

That night, Wong Yazhu had to sleep in the village elder's house, and upon their return, her parents confronted Wong Yazhu about her silent walking. To avoid getting Tang San in trouble, she claimed she had learned to walk silently while trying to catch chickens without alerting them. Her explanation did little to temper her mother's frustration. However, after Wong Yazhu shed a few tears, Wong An's anger dissipated, and she apologized for her initial reaction. She made Wong Yazhu promise to always make noise when walking, especially within the house.

Wong An also took this opportunity to train Wong Yazhu to dry and clothe herself, emphasizing the importance of independence, especially with the upcoming academy life in mind. "You won't have help in the academy," she reminded her daughter, 'Why didn't I teach her this earlier?' She wondered. "Have I been pampering my baby too much? Will you even want to leave us alone?" She mumbled to herself.

'I would.' Wong Yazhu thought while he dried himself. 'In fact, I can't wait to leave this village.'

His parents didn't know that having Wong Yazhu intentionally make sounds when walking allowed his Wind Walk Stealth Track to progress faster toward the second stage.

He also mastered the Celestial Breathing Method during the latter end of the third month, which now became his base breathing method. Once he mastered it, it was as if he had doubled his stamina. It was amazing.

"But, Gege San," Wong Yazhu had called one day while sitting beside Tang San, who was practicing the Purple Demon Eye, asking. "Why can't I breathe through my eyes?"

"..." Tang San was speechless. He hadn't thought of what to say.

Seeing this, Wong Yazhu helped. "Is it because I haven't really mastered it?" She asked with a frown.

"You are correct, Meimei Yazhu." Tang San quickly replied. "Comprehend the meaning behind each breath, and you will learn to breathe through your eyes." He felt like he was digging himself deeper into a hole.

With a big smile, Wong Yazhu replied. "Ok, Gege San. I will practice diligently and not disturb you from now on."

Tang San smiled. 'Even if you practice your whole life, you will never reach the level of breathing through the eyes.' He found her stupidity cute.

Wong Yazhu didn't probe for more information about Tang San's purple eyes because he had already understood everything about the technique. A week ago, while Tang San was diligently practicing, Wong Yazhu, while acting like he was practicing the Wind Walk Stealth Track behind him, watched the entire five minute process with his Byakugan.

Tang San seemed to absorb some kind of purple qi that seemed to flow from the sun during sunrise into the forehead between the eyebrows, entering the meridians in the area where the pineal gland is located before flowing through the meridians leading from the gland to the eyes and nourishing all the meridians there before returning to the meridians in the pineal gland and disappearing.

He watched it for six more days and suddenly, his Byakugan 'soul sight' evolved. Not only was he able to use it in tandem with all of the Byakugan other abilities, but he could now see all the different qi in the world. The blue qi that's present in everything remained. However, there was now subtle qi like the purple qi that only appeared during sunrise, the red qi that only appeared when the sun was at its peak, the orange-red qi that appeared during sunset, the silver qi that only appeared when the moon was at its height during mid-night, the crimson qi that flows from blood, an all sort of different qi.

Under his Byakugan's soul sight, the world became a colorful mess of organized chaos.

Not only that, but his view on meridians also evolved significantly. He could now see the acupuncture, which he later counted to be exactly 361 in every single person he had had the chance to count, very much like the Tenketsu in Naruto.

Three out of all the acupuncture were special; the one below the navel, the one in the heart, and the one in the pineal gland. The one below the navel was like a blue flame constantly burning, holding 100% of your soul power and what he always called the dantian. From what he saw, it is responsible for circulating soul power through the body.

The one in the heart was like a heart, constantly pumping. From what Wong Yazhu saw after careful observation, it is responsible for transforming qi into soul power before it is transferred and stored in the 'Dantian.' He called this heart the 'Soul Power Furnace.'

The final place was the acupuncture in the pineal gland, a luminous, swirling vortex of ever changing 'liquid' energy. From further examination, he noticed the color seemed to correlate to the person's state of mind, but the most important thing was the size. Out of everyone in the village, from the people he had the chance to look at, Tang San's own was the largest.

Tang San's own was double that of Wong Su's and about three times Wong Yazhu's. Wong Yazhu decided it was due to a person's mental prowess. Wong Su is obviously mentally strong because he is a hunter and old, but Tang San is superior mentally because of his past life and the 'Purple Eye' technique he practices.

When he practiced it, he would absorb the 'sunrise qi' into his 'Spiritual Sea,' a swirling vortex of everchanging energy, adding the qi to the spiritual sea to increase its size.

After more study, he realized it wasn't so simple. It seemed like just absorbing raw qi and sending it to the Spiritual Sea might cause problems, but if the qi has more of his 'trace,' it will be able to integrate into his Spiritual Sea.

To make the raw sunrise qi get his trace, he just needed to 'corrode' it with his soul power before putting it into his core. The way to corrode it is simply by letting the qi stay in the meridian for some seconds. If you let it stay any longer, the qi will disperse back into the world.

However, if you put raw qi in the meridian, due to the power of qi, it will damage the meridian. That's why Tang San will first pass the qi through the Spiritual Sea to give it some of his signature, pass it through his meridians, and let it stay in the eyes' meridians for some seconds, before sending it back to the Spiritual Sea to strengthen it. This will not only improve his eyes, but it will also increase his Spiritual Sea.

This can only work with special qi. The common worldly qi is too damaging. If it passes through the Spiritual Sea or the meridian, it can cause immense pain and may lead to damage.

Of course, now that he knew the core concept of the purple eye technique, he could practice it whenever he could, but he couldn't. He is always with Tang San during Sun Rise, and if he suddenly started practicing the purple eye technique while sitting beside Tang San, he might have something to say.

Of course, he thought of staying back and practicing it, but it wouldn't be efficient if you're not in direct line of the sunrise light to better absorb its qi. If he wanted to use the mid-day qi, he would need to sit in the middle of the village, another dumb idea. He would need to kill a lot if he wanted to use blood qi. If he wanted to use the other special qi, they were either unpredictable, insufficient, a combination of both, or just plain bad.

The last answer was the silver midnight qi from the moonlight.

The moonlight during midnight directly shines into Wong Yazhu's room through the window, so he decides to use it, but there is something important to know.

However, he ran into another problem. You see, each meridian within the body carries a different volume of soul power regularly, and the rate at which qi corrodes when passed through these meridians varies based on this, with more volume corroding the qi quicker.

Tang San's Purple Eye technique, which Wong Yazhu had observed and analyzed, optimized this process by directing the qi through specific, less robust meridians. This allowed the qi to nourish the meridians connected to the eyes for an extended period, thereby enhancing the eyes before being cycled back to the Spiritual Sea via the same weaker pathways.

However, Wong Yazhu realized that attempting to strengthen other parts of the body, such as the heart, using this method was impractical. The qi would corrode too quickly on its path to the heart and disperse before reaching its destination. Attempting to introduce a greater volume of qi to ensure some reached the heart without corroding would risk damaging his Spiritual Sea due to the excessive load.

For Wong Yazhu, the most feasible targets for strengthening were his eyes and possibly his nose, should he dedicate months to mapping out the most efficient meridian pathways to these organs. As his Spiritual Sea grew in strength, he could potentially absorb more qi and possibly extend the enhancement to other parts of his body.

Direct absorption of qi through the heart was discovered to be a method for rapid soul power recovery rather than for strengthening. The heart would immediately take control of the qi like a starved dog.

Moreover, Wong Yazhu found he couldn't directly channel qi into his 'Dantian' located below the navel, as it was effectively sealed off from external influences. Any attempt to force Qi into the Dantian risked cracking it, crippling him due to it becoming unable to store soul power as it would be leaking out through the cracks. If your Dantian is broken, say goodbye to storing soul power.

You will become a definite cripple.

Wong Yazhu decided that instead of using the purple eye method to strengthen his eyes, he would instead use it to strengthen the space on his forehead between his eyes in preparation for the Rinne Sharingan. He didn't need any more eye power with the Byakugan, Rinnegan, and possible Sharingan in his possession, and he rather not waste a month mapping out an optimal path to his nose.

At the beginning of the fourth month, Wong Yazhu started practicing the 'Rinne Sharingan Preparation Technique.'
