Doomsday’s local demon addict

Earth isn’t the same anymore, same goes for humans. A 19 years old boy illegally sell demons. One day, he gets caught and given two options: go to prison or go to a special university. Since the university seemed less depressing, he accept the proposition . But as his stay begins he realized everyone seemed to dislike him. Maybe going to university was a bad decision? Jin Maki, the protagonist, is a lazy 19 years old guy who actually has a pretty important role in the illegal business of selling demons. Will he be able to stop his addiction and change for the better? Or will his constant bad luck and the hate around him make it worse? This story is kinda random and slightly ridiculous please don’t mind it... Also, the rights for the cover belongs to me and obviously the story too. (Inspiration taken from the novel “world best martial artist” by eagle eats the chick.) The main protagonist doesn't fall in love with anyone, the only romance will be amongst the side characters. So, no sweet sweet love.

Ominous

After explaining to Jin that he abused the use of aspirin and giving another sort of pain killers which are stronger, Kyo and the director went to the main office.

As they sat, they looked at each other seriously.

-"I'm starting to wonder if my researches are wrong after all..."the director said.

-"Well, with what he said during his slumber... it sure points towards that." Kyo replied.

-"Still, let's not forget that he was in a delirious state." He said calmly.

-"Even if he was in a delirious state, he said the word [kill] multiple times, [the academy is shit] and then started unleashing violent waves of faura. All this sure doesn't sound good." Kyo argued.

The director sighed. Maybe Kyo's idea of putting Brandair and Jin in the same dorm was actually a necessary evil, you can never be too sure with these kind of things.

——-

The classes started tomorrow. Jin didn't feel ready at all. it's not that he though the classes were going to be hard, it's that he knew for sure he'd have a hard time fitting in. He wasn't stupid, Jin did notice how the Reng cousins avoided him. It seemed he wasn't fit for demon eaters academies. It didn't matter if he knew by heart the books that he was given nor dit matter if he had been running in fairy forests for years, all that mattered was that he wasn't part of the group and didn't have the attitude to be part of it either. At least, this wasn't some hot hats neo science uni, we're he would've been bored to death. Here, he was going to master something he had been working on for a long time : being a demon eater.

Jin had received his schedule and didn't recognize every classes on it. For exemple, out field obstacles (OFO) and practical training. He could kind of guess what they were but he wasn't sure. Hopefully, it wouldn't be too hard.

He went outside to see where exactly his classes would take place. Again, the place seemed full of life.

It seemed his study classes would all take place in the same small building. It was also not too far from his dorm, so it would avoid having to walk for too long.

As for the other classes, there was a big gymnasium and many other wide places, along with the weird obstacles parcours.

Being finished with his little tour, he then headed to the small convenience store, bought food and bandages for his wrists.

The bandages, although looking a bit stupid, did a great job at hiding the bruises. Like this, he didn't need to worry about being labeled as a freak, although it was a bit too late for the Reng cousins.

He also started avoiding to hit his forehead and tried the back of his head instead. It didn't have the same effect since he couldn't see the wall and stuff but still did the job. He could go back to hitting his forehead when he got bangs.

Slowly but surely, he started looking normal.

———-

First day of class, his class was heading back from the directors speech.

The speech they got along with the first years was pretty boring. The usual bla bla everyone gets.

So now Jin was heading over to the small building with wath he assumed was other people in his group.

Unsurprisingly, there was a majority of girls.

In the neo society, the first leaders stated ideas of what to and not to do based on what they thought was best for the human kind.

Thing is, they went a bit overboard.

First of all, racism. They absolutely wanted to avoid that and wars or conflicts. So they went ahead and not only encouraged, but also rewarded people that mixed skin colours.

Now, decades later, everyone had the same light caramel skin colour and facial features. They really destroyed the diversity human race once had. Still, it's better than having internal conflicts and wars for such stupid reasons.

So yeah, no more white, black, red or yellow people.

Because of the harsh conditions humans were put through, they lost most of the culture and traditions they had. Now everything was just a bizarre mix of them.

The religions were also obviously abandoned. Instead, people started making cults out of despair. Although the neo gouvernement tried to eradicate them, they still remain as one of the major problems.

For the economy side, they decided that capitalism and communism were both wrong, and decided to make a mix of both, While also working on improving learning institutions, job assignments and such. Now, people that couldn't, or didn't want to get a job were extremely rare.

Simply because they concentrated on helping young students discover what they liked to do as young as possible and making working conditions better in general, now everyone started walking towards a certain career since very young. And since everyone actually appreciated what they were learning, the dropout rate went down drastically along with the unemployment rate. Of course, things weren't as simple as they sounded and it was very hard to achieve.

Now, for sexism, they couldn't just make male female fusion into one sex. It was just too impossible. So they tried another way. Sadly, instead of destroying people's ideas on gender and state what it truly was, a pure physical and hormonal difference, like claiming it's just like people having a big or small nose and being easily stressed or very sociable. Doing this, people wouldn't instinctively see one gender as this or that, but really just as a physical difference. Instead, they went the old fashioned way and promoted females. Even if it a very good job at protecting females, it just made the line between genders deeper. Constantly highlighting girls, the males felt excluded and the girls gaining too much confidence. This was only because they were too encouraging. It didn't solve anything but just turned the tables, the neo females were like the past males. As for neo males, they didn't really change.

so yeah, everyone had the tendency to act like self imbued guys. Gone the age of the typical housewife. Shy people didn't dissappear though.

so, although their plans didn't really change what they wanted, it still somewhat equalised the sexism between the genders, with the girls at a slight advantage.

As for homophobia, the government decided to just declare it as solved.

Why? because it was destroyed during the apocalypse.

since the old society had made a good job at normalizing it, people just evolved along the generations, that in time of crisis didn't give a shit about people's sexual and emotional attractions, literally just a matter of taste.

So now it was as natural. People didn't really talk about it more than if they liked vanilla or chocolate cake. Though, the festivities they had won with great effort was also gone.

Why celebrate people that like chocolate cake? There's no point to it. Instead, people refered as feminosexual, malesexual or majoritarily bi, there were also other terms for people attracted to non binary people and etc, neo humans were too lazy(they were really lazy) to really keep them, so now you just explained your preferences instead of saying complicatedwords in hope they'd get it. But as mentioned, these things didn't bother anyone. Except rebellious teenagers that randomly started contesting something.

So although life was clearly improved,it was still flawed.

Back on tracks, Jin had noticed there was a majority of girls, most with pretty epic hair cuts he would have liked to have if he didn't hate having hair. Also, nowadays people didn't really have long hair, it was considered as something of the past. Only rebellious teenagers had long hair. Which was the case for one of the girls in the class.

As for wether Jin agreed with the neo society, he didn't care. It didn't matter to him as now was now. And about his preferences, he also didn't really care. Wether he liked vanilla or chocolate ice cream, or a mix of both didn't make him curious. Though, if he was forced to make a choice, he'd probably say he just didn't like ice cream.

The only thing he ever cared about was: catching, selling and eating demons.

But right now, he couldn't do any of these.

No, he was stuck in a place where everyone seemed to dislike him and constantly suffered from the diet.

yo. about the system of the neo society, don't take it too much to heart. I'm only trying to describe what could be a failed utopia. And you probably guessed but, there won't be much romance. If there is, well it's probably because I found it funny or something like that . Again, please don't feel offended by this since I'm just constructing a world and a narrator who is very objective, the narrator DOESN'T necessarily represent my opinions.
