Aleris, War Goddess

"F-father, am I crazy, or does it seem like he's in the realm of God Ruler…" Arial sweated as he questioned.

"Impossible. Don't disappoint me, son. He advanced to God King recently, it's impossible to rise that fast." Arthur cooly explained, calming his men down.

"Are you so delusional? Must be nice." Eden approved and clapped his hands.

"Ah, I really don't want to waste time here, I'm getting a bad feeling." Eden yawned before making his move, his eyes suddenly shining with a greater brilliance as his smile transformed.

He targeted every soldier with his divine presence, making them all nearly faint.

"Not yet, you gotta see this."

Keeping them conscious, he placed his palms together before pulling them apart.

Following his movements, a tear opened in the space behind the lower gods, distorting light and dragging them inside with such force that if they collided in mid air, only blood mist was left behind.

The world seemed to turn grey for a second as the events happened.

"Little more!" Eden then pointed at different spots one the field, the sky turning into a bright white as beams of light came crashing down.

Stars fell from the sky and bombarded his enemies, drastically lowering their numbers.

From 100,000 to 70,000 to 40,000 to 10,000 to several dozen.

Eden finally stopped, only letting out a slight exhale after all of that.

"That was on the weaker end of my abilities…I need to advance to Supreme God quickly!" Eden sighed before looking back at the group.

Arthur, Arial, a few generals, and…

'Where'd the girl go?' Eden looked around, using his divine sense to spread out as far as he could.

Eventually he found her, she was being dragged away at high speeds.

'Interesting, the feeling is coming from her, but who is this guy?'

In no rush, he looked at the remaining individuals.

"Hmm. I don't think you'll give me answers if I ask nicely, huh? Well, I won't ask." Eden spoke.

"Don't disrespect your seniors, brat—" before he could finish, Eden disappeared, suddenly reappearing in front of Arthur as he plunged his hand into his chest.

Not just his chest, he punctured directly into his soul.

"Alright, I've lost interest in you." Pulling out his arm, it was covered in golden dust and red blood, but in the palm of his hand sat a spherical object pulsing a bright red, battle chants emanating from it.

"FATHER!!" Arial shouted but before he could do anything, three men in enchanting armor appeared beside him.

"Lord War God…" The men frowned before looking at the enemy.

Seeing he had no injuries and the only blood that reached his body was on his arm, the Warlords knew their role and grabbed the Prince.

"Sorry for disrupting you, senior!" The Warlords ran as fast as they could.

Eden just smiled, choosing to let them flee for now as he went to find the girl.

"Let me go! What are you doing?!" Aleris yelled at the man who suddenly attacked her from behind and dragged her away.

His face was covered and he didn't speak, but he was at the level of High God, while she was simply still a Lesser God.

Having no chance, she could only try to pry information from the man, thinking he kidnapped her as a prisoner of war.

Hearing her words the man started to get annoyed.

"Do you ever shut up?! Did you see that massacre! Damnit! I almost ended up dying for this job!" Hearing his words let Aleris know that the man was paid to do this.

"Who sent you? My family can offer you much more." She bargained.

"Tch. Worthless princess, I wasn't even paid for this. You are my payment. If your brother didn't guarantee my safety, I wouldn't have done this!"

'Brother…' Aleris felt her brain stop working at those words…

"Whatever. We're far enough now, and your family might be dead. Get undressed." Elos took off his mask before ordering.

Faced with his demand and seeing his face, dread set in.

The biggest deviant in the lower realms, Elos the Depraved god!

She's heard about what happened to the ones unlucky enough to fall into his grasp and shuddered at the thought.

A tear slipped from her eye as she cursed her fate.

'My family doesn't accept me, which was fine as they weren't treating me too bad…but this…why? My mother…gone, the only one to truly love me. Now what? Nobody will help me, no one will know or care about what happens to me. Why? My talent is trash, I have no aptitude for divinity…why?' Questions rang through her head as she froze.

'Is this my fate? If so….why?'

Seeing Elos creep closer to her, Aleris struggled as best as she could.

When he got close enough, she pulled out a sharp rock and jabbed it into his eye.

"Die!" She screamed, using all of her strength to finish him.

Alas, the rock only destroyed his eyeball and did not go any further.

"Fffffuckkkkk!!! You little—!" Summoning his strength, Elos flicked her away and she crashed onto the rock wall, scraping her back and hitting the ground.

Blood flowed down as she struggled to stand, but Elos was faster, and pissed.

Not holding back, he kicked her in the abdomen as hard as he could, causing her to rise into the air before slamming back down.

"Ah, shit. You better not die yet!" He spoke as he tried to approach her again.

But before he could, he caught a glimpse of a man in his peripheral.

"Who are you?!" Elos spun toward the man and shouted.

Hearing the words, Aleris looked up at the doorway and her despair deepened.

"Eden." Were the only words the man spoke, but it was enough.

"Sect Leader Eden! Great! I've already caught this woman here, fear not!" Elos played along, switching sides with ease.

Aleris was defeated, she knew this man was her enemy and him being here means he finished her father.

He definitely won't spare her either. But she'd rather die now than suffer from Elos.

"The prince ran before I could ask him any questions, so you'll do." Walking up to the man, Eden locked him in place with his aura.

"Holy sir, great sir, what are you doing?" Elos struggled, getting a little afraid.

"Umbra." Were the only words to leave Eden's lips, a portal appearing beside him as a woman stepped out.

She had darker skin and long braided purple hair.

"Yes, Dadd—Sect Master?" Umbra corrected her 'Mistake' as she blushed.

"…I want to know what he knows." A shudder running through his body, Eden lamented his poor condition before asking her to work.

Nodding along, her eyes glanced at the man indifferently as wisps of smoke flew from her body and seeped into his mind.

Giving Eden the go ahead, she stepped back and he began asking questions.

Umbra left after Elos explained everything that happened, while Aleris sank deeper and deeper into sadness.

Everything she's thought had been wrong.

Even her mother's death…while Elos didn't specifically know, it definitely wasn't as simple as she had thought.

Her world now crushed, she wanted nothing more than to die.

"Are you giving up?" Eden spoke. He wasn't very interested in the drama originally, but he sensed something from her.

And, his instincts never let him down.

Opening her eyes, Aleris stared at the man in confusion.

"Why….aren't you k-killing me?" She tried to communicate through the pain.

"Answer my questions first. Are you going to leave it like this? Your brother is still alive. He'll take power and you'll be forgotten. Are you okay with that?" He questioned her and she remained silent.

Aleris could barely move, but his words resonated with her.

She's had an inferiority complex her entire life, but she figured that as long as she played her role, everything would be fine.

But in the end, this is where it led.

"But, it's too late…He's stronger than me, and he'll absorb our father's divinity…it's over."

Listening to her response, Eden held his palm up and a floating orb circled him.

"!" Seeing the ball of divinity in the air made her eyes widen.

"Any more excuses?"  His smirk and the new development of events brought life back into her body as she used all of her will to stand.

She walked over to him and forced her battered body to kneel.

"Thank you, Master. I will not disappoint you!" Faced with her words, Eden smiled.

'She accepted this pretty easily, no?' He was curious but didn't ask.

But Aleris didn't need any reason. She wanted power and was willing to devote herself to the one who saved her. Her heart was shattered and she no longer cared for life, only answers.

"No need to call me that. Umbra does it for a…different reason." Handing the orb to her, it danced around her body before seeping into her chest.

Resonating with the faint, but familiar, bloodline, Aleris finally awakens her divinity!

Her dark hair turned a brighter shade of red, her face became even more stunning, and her muscles defined more, containing her explosive power.

Steadily her strength rose, from Lesser to Greater, True, High, and finally stopping at God King.

In but a few minutes her power underwent a substantial change, needing time to cement before she could unleash her full power.

But for now it was enough.

"Let's go! This should be fun…" Eden turned and formed a portal, Aleris following behind.

"Cowards! How could you flee from the battlefield while Lord War God falls?! Have you no loyalty?!" The leader of the Warlords shouted at the two kneeling before him.

"Excuse me, Master, but Prince Arial's life was the top priority at that moment! There was no chance of victory in a short amount of time, we could not risk the heir's life." One of the men spoke up.

"*Sigh* You are correct, I suppose. I also take part of the blame for not being present. I was being held up by some foreign enemies, though they managed to escape somehow." The Master of Warlords spoke before turning to Arial.

"Prince, we are in a dire situation. We must return and collect the divinity of Lord War God and complete the Ascension ritual immediately! We will deal with that sect another time." Standing up, the Master prepared to leave before something shocking happened.

*Dun* *Doom* *Dun* *Doom* *Dun* *Doom* *Dun* *Doom*

"What is that noise?!" Loud drumbeats rang throughout the kingdom as everyone fell to their knees.

*Dun* * Dun* *Dun* *Doom* Dun* * Dun* *Dun* *Doom*

"No! It can't be…!" The masters eyes widened as he recognized the feeling.

*Dun* *Doom* *Dun* *Doom* *Dun* *Doom* *Dun* *Doom*

"A completed Ascension! And based on the rhythm….God King?!" Everyone was confused at the development, none more than Arial.

'How? Why!!'

*Dun*…..

Silence followed as the drums abruptly stopped, being replaced by footsteps and someone walked into the hall of the War God.

With the pressure alleviated, they all looked at the newcomer in shock.

"Princess??" The Master exclaimed. As one of God Ruler Ayla's loyal knights, he was ecstatic but shocked at the sight.

But the pressure coming from her was no joke.

Waiting no time, he forced his body to face her and prostrated even lower.

"All hail the new God King of War!" Everyone in the late queens court cheered, while those backing Arial had ugly expressions as they stared at the distraught prince.

But Arial couldn't be bothered with them as he stared at the object in his sister's hand.

The head of Elos, the High God. Someone with equal strength to him.

Aleris wasted no words, throwing the head at her brother's feet before revealing his crimes and getting him detained.

She planned to get as much information out of him before…

Heading to her room, Aleris sat on the bed for a minute before thinking about what to do next.

She was determined to find out what happened to her mother, no matter who the enemies were, for she had an excellent backer.

He promised to help her achieve her goals, and hadn't even asked for payment. Aleris silently swore to pay him back tenfold when everything settled.

Then, she devoted the next period of her life to destroying her old family and rebuilding it, all while finding answers for her mother.

She even built her army, the Fallen Angels.

As the name suggested, it consisted of women from all walks of life, who have had their lives ruined.

All of them fell victim to the ways of the world, seeing some of the worst life had to offer.

Many of them have seen their families die and have been held as slaves of their gods meant to protect them.

Given a new purpose, saved by War Goddess Aleris and Eden. They have devoted everything to the army.

The ones with the most hatred in their hearts giving them the most strength were the Oblivion.

Dread, Vengeance, and Ravage. All of them becoming the most fearsome beings under the War Goddess.

The memories melded together as Aleris remembered the most recent event.

The shattering.

Supreme God Eden fell, his soul shattered and he was missing.

For the second time in her life, her heart was broken.

The man who fixed it and picked up the pieces was nowhere to be found, she couldn't stand it.

Many enemies who dared to harbor ill thoughts about him have been slaughtered by her without mercy.

Thought they almost died when—

*BZZZZZZ*

Feeling her dreams interrupt, Aleris jolted awake and tried to adjust to her surroundings.

Looking around for the noise, her eyes landed on the ring around her finger as the center jewel shined brightly.

Her breathing ragged as she stood up, punching a hole through the void as she sped towards Celestia.
