Chapter 45

''Everyone get ready to fight. It is likely that they will attack at nightfall and we must be ready.'' The Vice City Master didn't bother giving out any inspirational speeches. Not like it would make any difference here.

Everyone was coming into this with their own selfish motives naturally they wouldn't pay attention to whatever the Vice City Master was to say.

However the same stressed and gloomy looks came from all of the participating warriors . It is likely that many of them are going out to die this time.

Suddenly from the sky Golden lights streamed down falling on every Human Warrior and Eleflare. In the sky two colossal Scrolls unfurled, one dripping crimson blood while the other had a giant blue castle imprinted on the parchment.

On the top of each Scroll there were two separate categories. Top Individual Contributors, Top Organisation Contributors.

And at the same time the skull tattoo on every Eleflare and Human Warrior changed into a matching scroll curled up lightly on their skin.

The human warriors had the giant blue castle scroll, while the Eleflares had the Crimson Scroll.

Naturally these represented the Defenders and the Attackers. This is also an additional benefit brought by the Eternal Battlefield, the Top Contributors in a RaceWar from the winning side will receive additional rewards from the Eternal Battlefield.

Unfortunately none of the top rewards for the Organization's reward weren't recorded in History, however the lower rank Rewards are pretty obvious. They are Spiritual Crystals, Artifacts and sometimes there are Warrior Skills.

As for Individual Rewards, the lower rank Rewards are typically Spiritual Fruits, or maybe comprehension for a special talent. And Samuel had actually heard of one amazing reward for the top 100.

1,000 years ago an individual contributor received a powerful Physique that wasn't disclosed. However it removed the need for Spiritual Roots. Originally he was a Rank 8 Powerhouse but he quickly broke through to Rank 9 after receiving the Physique.

This Golden light was like a drug to the warriors on the future Battlefield. Everyone was bursting with energy hoping for a high rank in this war.

Of course a high rank for these warriors is within the top hundred million! After all this ranking incases all the warriors on the entire Planet regardless of their Rank or current state.

So naturally the top 10-30 are taken over by Rank 9 and Rank 8 Powerhouses.

Soon the sky darkened and as the Vice City Master suspected roars of excitement came echoing out from the Eleflares.

Each raised their head towards the sky and gave a frightening battlecry shaking the ground. Mortals within the city collapsed in fear and their courage crumbled.

But the Warriors on the wall weren't to be put down, they immediately shouted various battlecries and urged their energy to prevent the sound waves from effecting the city.

And just like that the beginning of the war in FieldView City began. Two figures from both sides rose up and charged with flashes of golden and violet light.

Naturally these were the rank 3 Powerhouses.

The battle started in an instant, raging Energy spread frighteningly far despite them being hundreds of metres in the sky.

Vice City Master pulled out a sleek silver sword glowing with almost unending light and slashed heavily towards the thirty metre Eleflare on the opposite side.

Immediately a glowing silver stream of light flowed from the tip of the Artifact and sliced the air as it flew towards the creature.

But the Eleflare wasn't going to lose, his horns glowed with flames as a large ball appeared between the two twisted tips of the horn. Like a walking cannon a constant stream of light flowed out of the ball.

Both attacks met in the middle causing shockwaves hundreds of metres away. Even many warriors from both sides were pushed away.

Seeing this the Warriors in the sky seemed to have an understanding and flew into the distance to continue their fighting.

This signalled the start of the weaker warriors war.

With a shaking of the ground thousands of Eleflares charged towards the awaiting Human Warriors.

''Archers fire!'' Many humans on the wall drew bows, crossbows or even slingshots and immediately rained down attacks on the Eleflares.

Samuel had personally equipped A1 with a Pseudo-Artifact bow, while the rest had the top quality mortal ones that could be purchased.

Thousands of projectiles poured down on the heads of the Eleflares. Due to their high resistance however very few could even pierce their skin.

But there was still the occasional arrow that pierced the brain of an Eleflare through the eye. Or a powerful warrior's arrow which pierced directly through them.

After the second round of projectiles flew, the Eleflares were too close to the city.

''Warriors Arm up!'' With a loud clanking, warriors immediately drew the swords from their Sheathes and leapt off the wall.

The large drop didn't faze them as they began to charge directly towards their opponents.

The Eleflares gave a roar of excitement sped up.

And finally they met. Sparks flew into the air as swords hit horns. Bodies from both sides flew backwards after the pressure, only some to ever stand up again.

A1 charged valiantly into a crowd of Rank 1 Eleflares, his long broadsword sliced off the horns of the nearest beast and finished the job by piercing deep into its throat.

But A1 wasn't done, with a twist of his body the remaining momentum of the sword span and directly beheaded another Low Rank 1 Eleflare.

But before he could move onto the next victim a larger Eleflare marched towards him exuding the aura of a Middle Rank 1 Warrior. This was A1s true opponent.

Honestly it isn't that profitable to let the warriors kill someone at the same level. In terms of the Eternal Battlefield Contribution points and the RaceWar Systems points, Rank 1 Warriors are only worth 1 point regardless of what position they are in.

But A1 has no choice. Naturally the Eleflares wouldn't just watch him exterminate their race.

While A1 was stuck in a tough battle, the rest of the Dogs of War were also in their own battles. A35, one of the first Dogs of War summoned and already a Rank 1 Warrior was fiercely fighting against a smaller Eleflare.

His sword repeatedly caused sparks on the Eleflares body as he aimed for the vitals. Every swing of the Eleflare was calmly dodged due to the difference in agility.

If this continued, A35 was destined to win after he finally cut through, but he didn't notice that just behind him another Eleflare had surrounded him.

Out of nowhere another set of large horns pierced through directly stabbing A35 in the heart. The lustre in his eyes immediately disappeared as he was discarded casually by the Eleflare who moved onto his next victim.
