The shadow on a tree flashed slightly before a figure leapt out of it and disappeared.
''You. Go retrieve Matthew, Abigail, Amy and their sisters and Annie.''
Samuel sent orders out rapidly. Within three hours more than a dozen figures had appeared in front of him.
Naturally Situ, Sarah and Annie holding Betsy were among them. Alongside the six sisters, the quadruplets that Samuel brought in as concubines, Angela, Tabitha, Aurora and Aureliana.
These are most of the Heroines that Samuel has Subudes over the years. And the children that were all Children of Luck when they were born. And Matthew Lanford, although he isn't technically a Son of Luck, his constitution definitely qualifies him to join this group.
''Lets go.''
Samuel slowly led the group forward. And as soon as they reached the edge of the lake, he could feel the eyes of the Frosty Kirin snap towards him.
It revealed a pair of auspicious purple pupils scanned the group up and down. Its hooves stamped slightly on the floor as it raised its body up.
No one in the group dared to move. The combat power of such an auspicious beast is peerless in the same Large Rank, even warriors one Rank above might not be able to compare.
Although this is only a half blood Kirin, Samuel is confident it could take on multiple High Rank 3 Warriors and win, let alone their small force.
But the Kirin surprisingly didn't show any violence. Instead its large nostrils moved slightly, as if sniffing the air.
The light in its pupil twirled like an endless sea as it fixed its eyes on the key figures of the group.
Especially stopping Samuel, Situ, Sarah and the small baby in Annies arms.
The majestic beast trotted on the ground releasing a cold snort. Slowly its body began to move forward, each step causing ripples on the large lake as it crossed towards Samuel.
It raised its beautiful amethyst eyes towards the group, its cracked hooves stepping slowly against the hard ground as it successfully crossed the lake.
Samuel watched as it towered above the group. Its eyes looked condescendingly down, however a faint curiosity filled its face.
It tilted down its long snout and stared at the small betsy. Its eyes twinkled slightly like it was staring at a valuable treasure.
Continuing to inspect the group, the Frost Kirin walked slowly to each member of the group. Stopping on some more than others.
It seemed to be undecided, its eyes flicking between Samuel and the tree, a look of hesitation filled its eyes, especially when he glanced over Sarah, Situ and Betsy.
However it's eyes landed on EG1 and EG2 that had silently been protecting the group. It's eyes filled with surprise, glancing rapidly between the leaf on the tree and the Eternal Guards, as if confused.
But that didn't last for too long. Samuel watched as the Frosty Kirin seemed to come to a decision, its foreleg buckling back as it lowered its head towards the ground in front of Samuel.
''It submitted?''

[Congratulations to the host for completing the task, Reward: Loyalty of the Kirin, Guardian Beast Nest]
Samuel heard the prompt, and instantly the slightest bit of hesitation in the eyes of the beast vanished. Its hooves stomped happily on the ground as it released a slight earth shaking neigh to the sky!
Immediately Samuel felt an incredible feeling flow through his body, his eyes glowed as he activated his Luck Plunder Skill. Not to steal the Kirins luck but to view it.
And as expected he saw a thick stream of luck as large as a thigh flowing in front of him and pouring into his body. Around it dozens of streams poured from every piece of the Kirins body.
The luck spun in the air pouring into the bodies of the family members here. Samuel could even perceive a faint feeling of luck pouring into every member of the Lanford Family.
''No wonder they say anyone that tames a Kirin Beast will receive a millenia worth of good fortune.''
Samuel took a deep breath, greatly enjoying the feeling.
His hands stretch out, running his hands through the smooth and slightly cold mane of the Kirin.
As soon as Samuel absorbed the luck he felt a deep connection with this beast. As if it was an extension of his body.
Subconsciously he pushed his body off the ground and jumped onto the back of the beast, feeling the cold scales beneath him he couldn't resist leaning back on the beast.
The Kirin seemed to sense its master's wishes. Its body raised its beautiful head to the sky, releasing another Neigh.
With magic its hooves seemed to step on the air with nothing below. Majestically the beast began to gallop through the sky at rapid speeds.
Samuel felt the wind brush through his long hair as a trail of ice was left in the air behind the Kirin.
After completing a few laps of a few hundred miles, the Kirin returned to the stunned crowd. Slowly lowering itself beside the large Spiritual Tree before its buck teeth grasped the green leaf.
WIth a slight whine the beast felt a burn before Samuel reached out to grasp the leaf on his hand.
''A Kirin Beast and an Eternal Guard! What a profitable trip.''
Samuel smirked, extremely happy with the benefits this time.
While he was planning on summoning the Eternal Guard, he didn't notice that the baby in Annies arms held a confused look in her eyes.
''What is going on? This never happened in my last life right?''
Betsy could only blink her eyes in confusion.
Of course how could she realise that Samuel had the System Prompt this time? He knew to bring all the descendants with good luck here because of that.
In a world without the System Mission it is likely Samuel would've just fought the beast attempting to take its luck with the Luck Plunder Skill.
''Maybe I just wasn't present the last time?''
Betsy sighed and couldn't think of any other reason. Maybe the higher intelligence she showed this time caused her father to value her more?
''Wait but if he managed to tame the Kirin why did the family get destroyed so easily?''
Betsy's mind was running but even after thinking of dozens of options she couldn't think of anything.
''Ah well, I will just have to learn how to adapt.''
Unaware of Betsy's inner thoughts, Samuel was admiring the new creation. A bulky middle-aged man with a long blade in his hands.
