''It's a girl!'' A doctor shouted aloud. Samuels eyes snapped forward and looked at his healthy new child!
''Do you want to hold her?'' The doctor spoke as he handed the baby to the slightly pale Sabrina.
''She's beautiful.'' Sabrina lightly spoke.
Samuel nodded in response. His eyes filled with unparalleled joy. He has a daughter!
For the next week, Samuel didn't leave his wife and daughter once. In the end she was named Lily.
Samuel also learnt he could check his own daughter's status!
[Name: Lily Lanford
Spiritual Root: 4 Inch
Rank: N/A
Talent: Bystanders Aura (Boosted chance to view a situation of protagonist versus villain), Daughter Of the Host (Children born from the hosts main body will receive a weaker version of the hosts Life Sharing Talent. Their Lifespan will not expire, however they can't be reborn if they are killed)]
''System what do you mean Lanford?'' Samuel was a little surprised. Sabrina's last name wasn't Lanford and neither was his!
[Because the host's name is unknown to himself, you have officially been given the family name Lanford. Any direct descendants will follow the name]
In fact Samuels last name has always been a mystery to him. His parents didn't tell him, they just told him it was very special.
Their travel has definitely got something to do with Samuels history, but he hasn't gotten any ever since they left.
''Lanford huh, not bad. I'll take it.'' Samuel nodded satisfactorily.
[Congratulations to the host for accepting his new Family Name. Please strive to create glory for you and your descendants.]
Samuel was very happy to hear that.
Next he focused on the rest of Lilys status, a 4 inch spiritual root! That is incredible! With it Lily can break through to Rank 2 before she is 16! Or even younger with Samuels support.
Over the years, a dozen young Dogs of War have won the Youth tournament in FieldView City.
The reward naturally being the Golden Nectar fruit.
But none of the young Dogs of War have even bypassed Middle Rank 1 before they surpassed the age of participation.
As for the Bystander talent? Isn't that just ideal. Lily will be able to watch the events unfold without participating herself.
Of course Samuel would also have to ensure that her safety is guaranteed at all times. After all, conflicts between Protagonists and Villains often cause a lot of collateral damage.
For the next two years, Lily experienced the life of a princess. She had dozens of Dogs of War serving her each day, Samuels specially made his warriors find maid Transitional dogs of war as well.
Even though she is only two, she had a set of bodyguards specifically for her. There were twenty of them.
Samuel had actually been training them for himself so he didn't have to do anything, but as soon as he heard about lily being born he changed their training regiment to account for her needs.
The warriors he chose were naturally talented. He used a 2 Inch Spiritual Root Dog of War as the captain, with three High Rank 1 Warriors alongside the captain, 6 Middle Rank 1 Warriors and 10 Low Rank 1 Warriors.
This is naturally more than enough to protect a two year old child. But Samuel also realised that keeping her within the compound isn't conducive for her growth.
She will grow like a flower in a greenhouse. Of course Samuel doesn't want his first child to grow up fighting in the Eternal Battlefield, but she needs some basic social skills.
However he looked at the immature face of his young daughter, and her smooth brown hair and hugged her lightly.
Not yet.
When Samuel wasn't spending time with Lily, he was focusing on improving the strength of his Dogs of War.
The impending danger of the Scourge seemed to set the planet into a frenzy. At least among high level organisations.
Warriors would never be seen walking around anymore, and if they were then they would be rushing to return to their houses. Everyone was focused on practising and getting stronger.
Samuels dogs of war rushed to practise as well. Actually Samuel saw this as a good thing. When the warriors fully focused on practising, the bottlenecks that stopped them were quickly broken.
At the same time, conflicts between organisations happened everywhere. People were desperate for resources and destroying other organisations was the quickest way to get them.
The conflicts slowly spread to mortals. Bandits and thieves were beginning to appear, recruited by warrior organisations to get a few more credits.
Luckily the conflicts haven't risen too far as to cause the deaths of mortals. Otherwise the Government would undoubtedly get involved.
Samuel also began to order the development of defensive equipment on both the Eltorn Paradise and Caterpillar Isles Planes.
With the portals connecting directly from the Dog of War compound to the two planes. If something happens he can quickly retreat temporarily.
Currently Caterpillar Samuel was sitting on the back of a strong muscular war horse. Behind him were a dozen warriors holding various clipboards and books.
''What's the quickest way this can be completed? We need the defences up as quick as possible.''
He spoke as he looked at the bustling mortals running around with construction materials. They were dragging it all towards a slowly growing wall surrounding the portal to the Eternal Battlefield.
This was the first preparation. Fully protecting the entire plane to prevent random people from entering.
''My King, it is estimated to take at least five years with our current construction speed. A hundred metre tall wall is very difficult to construct. Not to mention the materials aren't malleable.''
One of the Warriors checked their clipboard and replied.
''Five years huh? That's alright. Continue construction. After the wall is built we have more facilities to construct.'' Caterpillar Samuel nodded and then continued to watch the construction.
