Chapter 69

　　Cora's POV

　　The next day, when I calmed down, I wondered if I had misunderstood the report in the newspaper. There was a question in the title, right? I might be too shocked to understand the report. It was possible.

　　Thinking of that, I ran into the kitchen and found the newspaper in the trash bin.

　　I took out the newspaper and placed it on the table. I took a deep breath before I read the report.

　　But it turned out that I didn't misunderstand anything. The report convinced me of what I had thought.

　　Reading the report was like a process to let myself accept the result that Pedro would marry Patricia soon.

　　In the past, I thought it would be hard to accept Pedro with another woman. I thought it would be so heartbreaking that I might not be able to live with such pain.

　　But when the time came, it was not as difficult as I had thought. After all, I had made a choice, didn't I?
